Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center

This is a huge and gorgeous hotel, at National Harbor, outside of DC. The views from the lobby bar are breathtaking. The staff at reception, in the bar, in Housekeeping and even the parking garage attendant, were all very pleasant and helpful! The room was a bit pricey, but worth it. It was extremely clean and well appointed, with a great shower. The only surprise was that there was no fridge in the room. Given our experience, we would definitely stay at the Gaylord again!

6th floor room 134, the bathroom door is somewhat jammed almost couldn't open the door.

I Paid top dollar two months in advance and they bumped me to another hotel that was a five minute CAR ride away. Two other Marriot properties in walking distance and would not put me there either.

This property is grand when you walk in but the rooms are dated and could use a renovation. The rooms aren't sound proof (heard kids running in hallway all night) nor smell proof (sometimes was smoking weed most of the night and the staff made it seem like a normal occurrence) Also, for this property to be soo large, it only had 1 fine dining restaurant; the rest are bars or cafe like places, probably because there are restaurants outside of the property in walking distance. I'm sure this hotel was nice at one time but it's not now. I'll skip it and spend my money elsewhere next time.

Clean and friendly staff. This hotel offers lots of Amenities

It is a long walk from parking to guest rooms. It is confusing where to check in as there are two hotel entrance. Worst of all, they charge $30 daily parking fee instead of complimentary to the hotel guests and $22 daily resort fee which we did not really use. Too many hidden fees!

There were a lot of things/activities to do and they even give you a coupon book with discounts for stores, restaurants and other places around the hotel.

It was fantastic! My new fiancé and I would absolutely stay there again!

Our stay at the Gaylord was beautiful. This property has so many activities that you don’t even have to leave. However if you decide to leave the property it’s in the most convenient location to enjoy the national Harbor and minutes to MGM casino

I have been to the hotel many times the atrium, workout facility grounds and pool are awesome. From my first visit to my last the staff has seemed to slip in their attention to detail and friendliness. I can’t say they have neglected professionalism. But the little extra courteousness and friendliness that you might expect from a 4 star hotel has severely dissipated.

Beautiful hotel! Superb steak at Old Hickory Steakhouse inside the house. Courteous and pleasant staff. We will return.

no toiletries you have to asked from the front desk ... what I paid an expensive stay was not worth staying.

It was a great visit and loved having transportation to MGM and DC available. I would suggest staying in Atrium what a lovely view to start and end your day with. Its not cheep though every part of their of the experience they charge top dollar like $3 dollars a water and so on. But the National Harbor has everything you need just walking distance away. Our biggest challenge was the goofy construction of the bed frames, they are wood and protrude out so we banged our legs and feet on them a few times; ouch.
