Holiday Inn Express Warrensburg

We travel to Warrensburg annually, and usually stay at one of the other hotels in town. It was sold out, so we ended up at HIE. Overall, our stay was quite good. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but the bathroom needed some updating/repairs (wallpaper was peeling from the walls, faucet sprayed out around the handle, etc.) My IHG traveler profile states that I prefer rooms away from the ice machine and elevator, but our assigned room was right next to the elevator. As we had arrived late in the evening and were tired, we chose not to move rooms, and the proximity to the elevator did not prove to be an issue. We were in a room directly overlooking the pool area, which sounds nicer than it is. See the photo for the "view" from our room - we got to look at the roof over the pool! Breakfast at the hotel was plentiful, but IHG corporate limits the offerings that each hotel can provide. It would have been nice to have cheese available, for example, when I made a breakfast sandwich. I don't fault the hotel for that, however. The staff at this hotel is quite accommodating, friendly, and professional.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights when we visited for our daughter's graduation from the University. The location was convenient. Our room was very clean and looked fresh (e.g. no scuffs on the paint). I loved having counter space in the bathroom, something you don't always get these days. Bathroom towels thin but a good size. Having a microwave and refrig was nice! Breakfast was fine; nothing special but certainly anyone ought to be able to have a good meal. We were here on a Thursday and Friday; I was shocked at how much the price shot up, but, hey, it was graduation weekend... I can certainly recommend.

I reserved a room online for my son's graduation from UCM. I had an ankle injury and was using a knee scooter and crutches. No accessible rooms were available online so the staff called the customers who reserved the rooms to see if they truly needed the accessible features. They were able to change my reservations so I had an accessible room and could safely shower. The personal attention to my needs was greatly appreciated.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend while visiting our son and the grandson, stationed there at Whiteman Air Force Base. We've been there several times, and have always had great service and a nicely appointed room. The pool is clean and the breakfast is a nice addition. We've stayed a couple other places in town, including on base, and we like this hotel best. While there, I came down sick, and the guest services were very accommodating, even making arrangements for an additional night.

Stayed at this location for two weeks while working at Whiteman AFB. Rooms were very clean, staff was very friendly. Biggest problem with Holiday Inn Express is the breakfast. They really need to do something to change it up a bit. With as much as I stay at Holiday Inn, having the same thing for breakfast over and over again is really getting old. Other than the breakfast the stay was pretty uneventful which is a good thing!

I stayed at this hotel while on a business trip and it was nothing special. The hotel seemed like it was converted from another chain hotel. The room was OK, but the water in the bathroom smelled bad. The toilet flushed REALLY slow. The breakfast was again, nothing special. The front desk staff (both day and night shifts) were very nice.

i recently stayed at this hotel and found it easy to find, friendly, responsive staff, very clean and quiet. After a hard day at work I treasure the quiet. Good breakfast, too. Easy access to Highway 50.

I came in late with no reservations. They had a room for me. Very nice room with refrigerator and microwave. Very good breakfast for an American motel. I parked my motorcycle up close to the reception desk for security.

Very well kept newer motel in a smaller town East of Kansas City. The facility was very good and the rooms are large and comfortable. Good location. The beds are comfortable. Everything was clean. The staff friendly. The breakfast was one of the best.

Staff was very good. Cook and food for breadfast was good. However, problems with the keys to the room, and problems with the water in the shower. Never seen that type of turn on for the shower ever. ,
