Very convenient, clean and quiet!
Breakfast was good. Exercise room was ok. No pool
Nothing was right. We had a broken toilet seat. The manager had 2 young girls try to fix it. After the so-called seat repair when you sit on the toilet it rocks back and forth. The toilet backed up when trying to flush it, had to call the staff again. When the guy showed up with a plunger to unplug the toilet. Which is ironic the they sent a guy to unplug the toilet, but sent 2 young girls to replace the toilet seat. Anyhow the guy with the plunger got water and stuff all over the floor and never cleaned the floor. The room looked clean but was not. My wife had to wipe everything down with disinfectant wipes. The bed had been remade without clean sheets. You can hear everything inside and out. Overall this is a very bad place to stay. I would not let my dog stay there.
About their renovation project. When we arrived we had to walk through what looked like a construction site to get to the front desk. They never told us they were undergoing major renovation - I would have moved to the Holiday Inn next door if I knew. Plus, the fitness room was closed as well. Rooms were clean but very basic, had to move once, air conditioning wasn't working in first room. All that said, the bed and pillows were at least comfortable!
The hotel is in a good location, convenient to the highway. The parking was abundant, and the staff was very friendly. The room was a disappointment though. It was not very clean (dust and some sticky substances on some furniture), and 2 dead bugs in the bathroom. The oddest thing though was that the one and only light switch by the door not only turned on and off the lights in the room, but it also controlled the air conditioning and the mini fridge/microwave combo appliance. So, when you leave the room, if you have something in the fridge that you want to say cool and/or if you want your room to be a comfortable temperature when you come back, you have to turn the lights off manually at the source and then turn them on the same when you go back into the room.
