Very nice hotel. Clean, good breakfast, dog friendly. Room was very comfy! Big bed and soft carpet. The sauna and pool was for free. Location was fine, if you have no problem with longer walks. And we needed to pay for parking. But overall it was great!
When I am in Vilnius I normally stay at Grata because it is a central but quiet, friendly place. The staff are very friendly - unfortunately with one exception, who tries her best but is incapable to cope. Breakfast is very good - if you don't have it at the same time with one of the bus groups. Then is good but a bit hectic.
This was my second visit to the Grata , it offers great value for money , helpful staff , sauna and spa , clean tidy quite rooms and comfortable beds , it's a 3 star hotel with the comfort and services of a 4+ star hotel , but none of these things are the reason why I booked it again , I did so for the fabulous breakfasts Grata offers .. wonderful ! I highly recommend Grata for your stay in this wonderful city , I will have no hesitation booking it again .
At this hotel we recommend that you stay with all travelers to Vilnius. Good location, near the historic city center. Quiet, clean, cozy, good breakfast. Optimum price-quality. Parking in the adjacent streets.
My opinion is that the hotel is rather old and needs renovation. We asked about the breakfast box, vegetarian, got the one with sausage. Parking facilities are poor. There is a bad smell in the hotel rooms.
Nice hotel, very big, could not use there restaurent, was always fully booked by groups....no so nice...but then we could eat in the bar, but no one told us, we had to find out ourselves... all i all a nice hotel, but they do no inform well...............
I spent 3 nights at this hotel in April, wasn't the cheapest option but made up for it with the location and services. The rooms aren't exactly modern but everything worked fine, the bathroom was clean, hot water available, the bed wasn't the most comfortable but still managed to get to sleep. Reception staff was very polite and nice, staff in the breakfast room a bit less so, though that could be down to language barrier. Breakfast selection was really pleasing, first morning I had a lovely nice breakfast here, but the last morning there was a Polish tour group (there are many of these and Russian groups) came down at breakfast opening time and turned the room rather chaotic, avoid this if you can. On one rainy day I decided to have dinner at the hotel but I was told there were no more places available (at this point there were 4 people in the dining room, I assume they expected a tour group??) also the reception doesn't have an umbrella to borrow so I recommend packing one. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the old town centre though I don't mind walking so this wasn't a problem to me. Train station was also a manageable walk away. Free wifi worked absolutely fine, TV too, as did the oldschool radiator in the room. I contacted the hotel prior to my arrival to arrange a taxi from the airport, they were prompt to reply and arranged my pickup (€20)
Nice and competent staff. Clean and simple rooms. Good beds and pillows. Reasonable Wifi. Excellent breakfast in choice, quantity and quality. +If you arrive by car from the airport, quite straightforward to get there and with reasonable parking places outside at 0,30/h on a quiet neighbourhood. Not really in the center but I won't take more than 1/2hour to get there.
I've been to the hotel as a group manager, The romms are avarage Europnian rooms, the reception is very welcoming and helpful. One have a free PC for use and print near it. There is no safe at the rooms, but you can get one at the reception. Dinning room is tasty with good selection.10 mintues of driving from the center. Wide showers. With no A.C. in the rooms but good air from the outside as you open the windos. Welcoming kit at the room, refrigerator. Good value for your money.
If you want good quality for your money and also like a walking this is a good choice. A little bit far from old city but area is very quiet. Great breakfast all tastes and after all day walking good sauna with pool free of charge between 19 to 22. Very clean room and bath and enough space at room. Helpfull and friendly staff. There are also bar where you can take some beer and drink after long day in Vilnius.
