They picked me up at the airport with a nice cardboard with my name. People were so polite! All of them gave me a smile all the time, it was so nice! You could arrive and feel comfortable. In the entrance, they have always coffee and lemonade for free. The room had all what I needed: a comfortable bed, TV, A/C, clean bathroom. Breakfast was included and it was delicious!!!!! It was a buffet. The funny thing is that I served the first time and after that, it was a waiter taking out my plates and getting them full again hahahaha He was really cool, I didnt have to stand up to serve many times :D It is a really good hotel for a cheap price.
This stay is not at all what we expected. Asked 3 times by email for an airport pickup, no response. And no pick up. The hotel is very very outdated, it has zero style and the room we had smelled terribly!! AC super noisy. Also the room is at a busy road. Honking, jelling, music al day and night. Ladies at the desk speak no English at all. They also didn't give us any information howsoever about breakfast, transfers, city activities. The most positive is we booked a short stay.. And the breakfast is okay for the low price. Won't visit again.
Pros: - the room is very spacious and clean - good breakfast - staff was friendly and helpful Cons: - the room was facing the street and it quite noisy at night, you could hear the people in the street - aircon is a bit noisy - wifi unstable, it kept dropping
This is fine place to sleep. My rooms were small but clean. When I didn't overlook the square across the way, I got a room that opened onto an air shaft with a ticking vent wheel. The controls for the air condition did not function properly. But they had a nice breakfast and half a block from a taco hole-in-the-wall.
Clean, not fancy but cheap and central. Rooms are small, but location is good. Close to most of the action, also to good local restaurants. Good to put our heads down after a long flight from LAX. Not memorable either good or bad. A stopover.
I was there for 4 nights, I was able to sleep only once. First night, I was awakened by the fire alarm of my room at 2 AM. The battery was dying and it won't stop a long beep. Had to take it out of the roof. Second night, 11:30 PM, maintenance started to drill just outside my room. I called FD and I was told that they are going to stop in a "few" minutes. 12 AM, drilling still going on. After I came down to the FD, I was offered to move to another room just for the night. Third night, after I got back to my room around 8 PM, I was offered to move to another room again because they would be drilling outside again (only hotel that I have stayed in all my life where maintenance works during the hours of silence... really administration? Great planning!... not!). I was moved to a really nice room overlooking the government palace... unfortunately, the AC unit was almost as loud as the drilling... I wasn't going to change again! Last night, took some sleeping pills... it was the only option. I have to make a comment about the service. There was a guy, Luis, who was the only one showed concern for what was going. He was the one to offered to move for the night, the second night, and moved to the other room the 3rd night. Other than him, nobody really cared. Management never showed the face. I has stayed there in the past and I thought it was a decent 2.5 star hotel. Now I thing is a poor 1 star hotel, if any star at all. Not coming back. That's for sure.
We only used the hotel as a stopover on a long trip. Rooms are quite small and: located in a shopping district there can be some noise until late in the evening so bring earplugs. The cheap taco eats down the street were very tasty, free valet parking worked fine and the (quite ok) breakfast was included in our very cheap rate. Recommended for a short stopover, nothing more.
We stayed here one night before our flight out the next morning. Their information on Tripadvisor stated free breakfast. We were told that breakfast would be an additional charge. Also, this hotel states that free airport transportation is included. However, they only run their van to the airport 4x per day so if you leave on off times you have to pay for a taxi - which I had to. The hotel is in a very busy pedestrian street area and it is very, very noisy. Plus, after the business district shut down we were awakened three times during the night by car alarms. The restaurants are very limited surrounding this hotel. Your only options are taco places and limited service fast food. The room was very cramped. They had two double beds in a room that should have only had one and the beds were touching the walls on each end. We love Mexico and are pretty open and understanding of many things but this stay was not a pleasant one.
The room was small. It has wifi & aircon. The only problem was the music filtering in the morning from some other business on the street. It was not that early but still annoying. They had a good buffer breakfast - we left well fed.
I recently stayed here on two separate days while traveling to and from Chiapas. There is a free shuttle service to and from the airport that was very convenient and very prompt. When my family and I arrived the accommodations were very nice, but I will say if you're looking for a view some of the rooms that were more in the center of the hotel had windows facing this air shaft that was painted bright yellow and you could see into other people's room so make sure you cover your windows. The beds were very plush and comfortable and I loved the size of the standup showers. My first room was missing a few bathroom amenities and there could have been a few more towels. I went down to the restaurant for breakfast both times I stayed, it was buffet style with a decent selection of mexican breakfast staples, the food was good but not great. I did have a bit of a hiccup the second time that I stayed right before my roommates and I were about to fall asleep I felt the room was a getting bit hot, turned out that our air con stopped working and we had to switch rooms but we got a nicer room with a view of the museum across the street and the city square below. Overall my stays were short but sweet and the hotel did great accommodating myself and all of my family that stayed at the hotel all at once. Definitely would stay here again if I ever come back to Villahermosa.
