Hyatt Regency Villahermosa4.0 out of 5.0

The hotel has a bit old feel with very standard rooms. The room does not have a luxurious feel but efficient. This is a good choice of hotel since it offers rooms with very good rate. I had access to their club lounge and was please with their food and beverage, it was a lot better than the average club lounges in the U.S. The hotel staff was very helpful and attentive. Would stay here again.
The hotel is nice, staff are generally friendly. Nice large, comfortable bed. Great shower. Furthermore, the hotel is in a great location. It's a good choice for a business trip. There was no ironing board or iron in my room and the chairs in the room were extremely uncomfortable (though one was rapidly obtained by the chambermaid. Also, the restaurant has a great reputation in the city, but it's overpriced and my meal was quite average.
At the Hyatt Regency Villahermosa, the guest is ushered into a simply gorgeous environment. The ceiling, the walls, the lighting, the art and photography on display all combine to create wonderful ambience. Unique, arresting, and somewhat opulent, this lobby is impressive. The concierges here live up to the precedent set by the decor. Punctuality, professionalism, patience, and even English fluency are standard around the clock. As for the restaurant, the buffet is challenging (and a little pricey) for anyone who isn't familiar with authentic Tabasqueno cooking. Stick with the menu if you arrive with a foreign pallet. Also, try to avoid getting stuck in a room directly above the ball-room. Everyone loves a party, but not one that goes until 3:00 AM on a morning when you have to be up at 5 to catch a plane.
We have stayed at this Hyatt before. The price is about $58 a night, dirt cheap for a Hyatt. Hotel is dated and in some need of an update. Lobby area is beautiful. Bed slept well. No ice machines working. It is only $58 OK? A bit difficult to find, tucked away on a back street, but very close to the nice outdoor OLMAC head park. Worth every dollar. The restaurant is typical US Hotel restaurant, a bit overpriced for the offerings. Pretty restaurant however. Pool. Typical Hyatt of the 1980's.
Ac not adjustable in room, so it was either freezing cold or just warm. sink in bathroom was broken. Breakfast room freezing cold, not really enjoyable. Elevator was across from room door, so it was very noisy and we couldn't sleep really well.
We were driving from Honduras to Mexico City and book a room at the Hyatt last minute just for one night. It was about $50 but it was a beautiful hotel with a nice pool and comfortable beds. The rooms were a little smaller than I expected but still well worth the money. They have a nice dinning area and 24 room service. It was an enjoyable stay.
Overall staff is excellent and attentive, guest rooms do the job, nothing out of this world. Great location if you are doing business with the local oil company. Had dinner and breakfast at La Ceiba, food was more than acceptable, maybe a tad expensive, had a drink at the bar, found it to be ridiculously expensive.
Stayed 2 nights on the club floor with lounge access. The hotel offers great deals and all facilities very impeccably clean, the public premises - however - were child and too cold.. so cover up when inside the hotel. Continental breakfast in the club lounge was basic. Rooms nicely appointed and we enjoyed the many public parks nearby. Pool area clean with sufficient pool towels and sun loungers during our stay off season. As a city hotel recommendable but no special flair as it is mainly used by business travelers.
Beyond any doubt in our minds, this is the best Hotel Value in Villahermosa. 1) The room was clean and spacious. 2) Bathrooms clean and spacious. 3) Beds were great. 4) Staff professional and very helpful. 5) Restaurant open till midnight. We arrived at 11:15 after a 5.5 hour drive from Mérida. What a relief to find they were still serving. 6) Food was great
I made a reservation for a Club room, and then I was told that my breakfast had to be in the Club room, I asked why the restriction, and finally I was allowed downstairs, in my opinion, they have to review many procedures and processes that they have it wrong,....or think that clients can be played with, I was told that they will be renovating soon, as the place is a bit outdated, TV programs are unbearable, very few english channels, and just an old fashioned thinking management. The La Venta Museum is nearby and worth the visit. The lady at the Club room is very nice and deserves compliments, as for the japanese dinner, it was a bit overpriced for what is offered, but they think they can make money this way, they have to improve, as otherwise, people will use other hotels. I came here as it was suggested by a client of mine that I was visiting.
