Very modern and clean although a bit stark. Walkable to restaurants, shopping and sites in Vik. Breakfast was included but was not very good. The game room was a nice addition but I wish it opened before 4:00. Overall, it was probably the nicest place to stay in Vik which is a great base to explore the south coast of Iceland.

Everything was great. Skool Beans cafe is literally behind Hotel. Vik Golf Club is also right behind hotel if you want to play 9 holes of golf on a voluntarily run course where you pay through an “honor system” and can borrow their rental clubs to play. Black crust pizza is also walkable or a 2min drive. Gas station across the street, Vik church 3min away. Complimentary breakfast. Rooms smelt great when walking in and the quality was great

Great clean place. Conveniently located by the Road. We got bad view looking at the road. But located closer to the shops and attractions. Lava show is close by. Few decent restaurants are Close by as well. Strongly recommend this place. Bit Pricey. But good bed and shower and location.

Overpriced

Hotel Kría is conveniently located along the main road through Vík, with adjacent parking — though unfortunately at the far end of the building, requiring a full walk to the main entrance and small concierge area. The lobby is modest, with a bar to the left and a large dining space beyond. Close to shops and dining area ie 10 minutes walks across the roundabout. We stayed in ground floor room 121. The design was minimalistic to the point of feeling bare: textured wallpaper, laminated wood floors, and no decorations on the walls. The open clothes rack, glass bathroom door, and lack of sound insulation compromised privacy. Furnishings included a blue armchair, a grey desk chair, and a Nespresso machine — though oddly, no proper glasses for water, only bathroom tumblers better suited for toiletries. The bathroom featured faux concrete and faux marble finishes. Functionally adequate, but acoustically exposed due to the sliding glass door. On the plus side, the room was warm, quiet, and well-insulated. There’s a lovely view of the surrounding hills, and a private door opens to a wooden platform outside, which adds a nice touch of nature. The bed was reasonably comfortable, though let down by practical oversights: no power socket by the bedside, only one pillow and cushion, and the room became uncomfortably hot overnight (opening the door would have helped). The back out curtains was not long enough so light came through at sides and bottom. Breakfast was a disappointment.

Hotel Kris was a lovely one night stay. The room is modern and clean. There's a fun game room upstairs with table tennis, darts and a pool table. There's also an upstairs lounge area, perfect for chatting with your friends about the day's adventures. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is very centrally located and close to Black Crust pizza, which I also recommend.

Great modern and well designed hotel in Vik. Walking distance to all of Vik’s restaurants as well as Black Sand Beach. Gas station conveniently across the street. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast buffet was perfect amount of food including scrambled eggs, cold cuts, hash browns, and a variety of cereal and coffee options. And of course views were stunning all around! Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

Good location

The room was very nice. There were a lot of electrical outlets, and there was one on each side of the bed, which really works for us. We had to open the window and door because it was quite warm. The shower was small, and the doors would open if you slightly touched it. We were facing the highway, but it was not loud at night, probably because we closed the windows. It was an easy walk to get dinner, we went for the black crust pizza, which was awesome. We were able to also walk to the beach. The breakfast in the morning was just okay, but at leas there was breakfast. Good location.
