This is a really good hotel as a base for visiting the region, especially with a car. There is plenty of parking available if you have your own car. It's located on a main road with good access to the motorways that mean that Treviso, Padua, Verona, Venice and Vicenza are all comfortable driving distances away. It's also only a few minutes' walk from a rail station with an hourly service into Venice. You can buy rail tickets from reception which saves having to negotiate the ticket machines. The hotel itself is lovely. We had a family room which was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was really good with an excellent shower. There was a small safe and fridge in the room. Breakfast was excellent, with a nice selection of things, and the staff were really nice and attentive, making sure that everything was kept topped up and that we got fresh teas and coffees. Our Italian is extremely limited but the staff were proficient in English. I needed to print something whilst we stayed there and the lady on reception was very helpful and kindly printed it for me twice when she realised it hadn't come out quite right the first time. There was free wifi as well. In summary, this is a lovely hotel and a better base for exploring the region than if you stayed in Venice itself. I would highly recommend it, particularly if you are using a car for your stay.
We both loved this little hotel. We were originally a bit skeptical after seeing it was a short commute to Venice. But, we would without a question stay here again. The rooms are top notch and there is a great restaurant right next door - less than 80 feet away in Colanda. The staff here is great and speaks English (if you are Italian poor such as we are) and the breakfast is very good (it was included in our room). The train station is a 5 minute walk and the bus station is shorter than that. ABSOLUTELY recommend this hotel for a Venice trip or to the surrounding area.
If you want to stay out of town, away from the crowds and the expense, this could be a good option. However... trains to Venice are only 1 per hour and stop around 7pm. There is little else in the town, so you need to eat in the same (rather unfriendly, average) restaurant each night. Whether I would recommend it I think it depends on what you want to do (i.e. just Venice and back - fine to eat in same restaurant) and how long you want to stay for (we stayed too long). The staff in the hotel are lovely - but could do with being a bit more knowledgeable about public transport - we got stuck somewhere as they didn't tell us that the bus service is different on Sundays.
Our apartment was clean and spotless with pristine bathroom facilities and bed sheets. In our apartment we had air conditioning, a kitchen, fridge, freezer and a TV. The only problem was that the apartment was a short distance from the actual hotel so we had no access to free hotel wi-fi. The hotel and apartment is in a quiet and peaceful location with supermarkets and a train station near. We loved our stay!! Beautiful weather!
This beautiful, cozy, and clean hotel exceeded all of our expectations. Even though a member of our group was the most annoying person in the world, the staff at the hotel were incredibly patient and kind. The homelike feel of this hotel surpasses the environment of any high-end chain hotel. Very happy with this place, would definitely recommend.
I stayed in this hotel for 9 days with my wife's parents to visit Venice and Florence. I have had the best hotel experience for my over 20 years of business and leisure trips. The hotel is conveniently located within 35 minute distance to Venice by train. The train station in only 5 minutes away from the hotel. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is excellent!. The small town is so beautiful!! More than anything else, the hotel staffs were superb!. Thanks so much to Diletta, Grechen, and the lady manager who prepared excellent Italian breakfast every morning for the hospitality! It was a great healing trip experience thanks to this hotel. I want to come back to this same hotel in the future.
This hotel is located pretty far away from Venice. The hotel staff are friendly and they give you a time table for the train (the station is approximately 7 minute walk from the hotel, and it takes 40 minutes to arrive Venice Santa Lucia station). I was only staying in Venice for one day during the weekend, so the commute is quite a hassle. I made it just right in time for my early train to Florence, phew... So if you are planning an at least two day trip to Venice, it's a good hotel to stay in, otherwise, book something near the city.
Just returned to England from my second stay at this wonderful hotel. As before the staff are so helpful, so pleasant. Rooms are very good, breakfast is excellent and prices are great. The train service into Venice is punctual and comfortable, and the hotel sells train tickets. This hotel is superb and I look forward to my third stay.
I really enjoyed this hotel. I've been staying in Rome did 3 months so specifically did not want to stay closer to Venice but still wanted to be convenient. This hotel was perfect for me. About 30-45 minutes by train to Venice, a small, quiet village. Nice rooms, decent bathroom facilities and excellent pricing. It fit the bill perfectly for me. Some things to watch out for that might be issues for others: You take a train to Venice, not a subway! It runs about once an hour on regular weekday. The hotel will supply a schedule. Pay close attention to the times! This train does NOT run 24 hours! It is about a (best guess) about .25 mile walk from the train station to the hotel. Keep this in mind if you have much luggage. That might be an issue. Roughly .5 mile from nearest grocery store although there are tabacchi closer. Exit the train to the left road and turn right towards the main street with a traffic light. At this corner, cross and turn left and walk along the main road. You will see the hotel down at an intersection on your right. There is a sign for the hotel at the corner with the stop light but it appeared to me to point straight. I walked about .5 miles down this road looking for the hotel before I realized my mistake and backtracked. This hotel is not for you if you want to be really close to the action or actually in Venice. But if you want affordability, quiet and easy access to the city, it can't be beat. Hotel staff is very welcoming and speaks English.
Reservation, check-in/check-out, equipment, wi-fi (free) and staff service all just as expected. "Standard" Room was tidy, well furnished, bed comfy. Quiet area. Exceptional restaurant in the adjacent building, delicious meal, very descent and refreshing place. Breakfast was quite rich (not common for htis part of Italy), half "dolce" italian style, half continental. A little con is it is served in the entrance lobby where the receptionists are working. Price very reasonable, ideal choice for business overnight stay, totally worth the detour from the SS309 or other main routes. Supermarket not far if you need to buy a few necessities. Go for it!
