Make sure you ask for one of the remodeled rooms! If not, well, it is fine but not very new. The whole place is OK but it is also used, you can see it on the ripped carpet and the wallpaper. This is not an inexpensive place, perhaps based on the location and the only place around. You need to know ...
It was one of the few hotels that would sleep a family five. They left three small packages of gummy bears for our three children and extra towels. It also was right in the city, but parking was difficult as well as just going into the hotel when you first arrive. The most negative feature was no ...
This hotel listed itself as an "airport" hotel but it cost about $80 for transport to and from the airport, because it's not near the airport.. The hotel has no elevator, no phone in room. For the price it was fine except the transport more than doubled the price. Room was very clean and staff was ...
Older property, relatively well maintained, the hotel is being refurbished right now, half of the rooms seem to be modernized already. Staff was less accommodating than hoped for, given the construction noise
Extremely average hotel, was given a "non-smoking" room which had an ash tray and matches. Perhaps the sleeping area, which was in a separate section, was meant to be non-smoking - it smelled better than the entrance area, but they need to change the very old and faded carpet (i would say 15+ years) for the smell to disappear completely. Tried to change rooms (and change a burnt out lightbulb at the desk) by phone, which was broken. Location is very good - 3 mins by foot to train station - but other than that, i wouldn't recommend. It was all in all underwhelming and not worth the price.
I am a regular international traveller and have dealt with many cultural differences, but |I have never dealt with the lack of customer service and basic hospitality like this Especially noteworthy as I have never given a review such as this. The hotel information guide and the room service menu listed the room service number as 950. When we dialled 950 we just got a funny beep beep sound. I went to the Front Desk to let them know something was wrong with the telephone. The manager responded, "You need to push the buttons", and laughed & mocked me. I told him I had pushed the buttons. To his credit he sent a technician up a few minutes later. The technician dialed the Front desk successfully and said, "The phone works fine" and hung up. That is when she said," Just dial 710", and rolled her eyes. We showed the technician the room guide and menu and she was mortified about how we had been treated and apologized profusely. Later we successfully dialled 710 for room service they forgot us. We called just minutes before the end of room service to cancel. They said they forgot our order and would send it up immediately. They brought it within minutes at no charge because of the problem. The hotel was not busy - no conventions or events going on. In fact, the hotel seemed like a ghost town, so there really was no reason to forget an order for a single salad. There were some other annoyances.
Outstanding breakfast, easy location to find just north of busy city center on tram line. Lovely pool, sauna, jacuzzi made my trip. Clean rooms although pillows were too big. I would definitely stay again. Be sure to book online for much better price.
