This is the perfect little apartment for a stay in beautiful Varenna. Giorgio, the host, and his son Alberto are so available and helpful. The views in the pictures are absolutely what they are in real life. It is magical! There are many great restaurants, bars, gelato shops and shopping within a 5 to10 minute walk and the ferry station is an easy short walk too.We highly recommend this apartment, we loved every minute of staying there.

Great Location

We enjoyed this property. It was within walking distance of restaurants and bars, the ferry, market, pharmacia …. Everything we needed. The view off the balcony was amazing. Would definitely book again.

Absolute gem!!

Run, don’t walk to book this apartment. The location is to die for. The view is amazing! The little balcony is perfect for a morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine. Lorna is a fabulous host. She arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the train station, had a nice bottle of wine and water waiting for us.

Could not beat the location!! Steps away from the best restaurants, ferry, etc etc etc. You literally could not be in a better location. Host was wonderful..... we were delayed twice and he patiently waited for us.

A beautiful view and perfect stay

The unit is well equipped, secure, comfortable, and a great location. Everything was in working order. Host was very communicative. Host lives in another unit in the building, and runs a shop right there, too. Very easy to reach. Walkable from the train and ferry stations. Just a short walk from the piazza and church. Host provided a welcome gift, too! We would have loved to stay longer and would happily stay here again. Lots of storage. Wonderful breeze in the evening (and lots of fans in the unit) cooled off the place on hot days. Getting around Lake Como is easy on the water taxis. Food in the area is AMAZING! Host gave recommendations for restaurants, too.

Perfect location

Giorgio was a great host, the location of this casa is literally in the heart of Varenna, accessible to the ferry 5 min, 12 min walk to train, and 2 min in every direction to local shops and restaurants. Giorgio was super helpful, provided transportation options, restaurant recommendations and made sure we had everything we need. Although there is no AC, we stayed on a hot weekend and it was totally fine with the breeze from the balcony door and windows. Would 1000000% stay here again.

Perfect location!

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Bella. Giorgio and Alberto were helpful and kind. The apartment is in the perfect location, within an easy walk to the ferries, restaurants, and sights of Varenna. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony with wine watching the sunsets and activity below. The apartment was comfortable and clean.

Fabulous location and hosts

Casa Bella was a perfect location for our 4 days in Varenna. The view from the balcony was fabulous and the location was very central to explore the town. Giorgio and his son Roberto were excellent hosts. Roberto greeted us at the train station to take us to Casa Bella so we didn't have to drag our luggage too far.

Fantastic Location

Super location right on waterfront. Rooms were clean. Giorgio was very helpful. Recommend making restaurant reservations in town a day before in summer. Definitely would stay again and recommend to family and friends. Lot of steps and up and down, but cute town.

Relaxing view right on the water front.

Clean, nice . Sometimes the restaurant below was a little noisy but quieted down around midnight. Great Location. Pillows were a little uncomfortable, next time I’ll bring my own.
