We needed a place for one night during our renovation. Most reasonable rate was $219 for a king room. Only basic cable available for tv, and even though the room information package said there were movies on demand, that turned out not to be true. No mini bar or snacks in the room even though they took a $450 preauthorization on my card to cover "incidentals". Honestly, if I had any idea that this place was so second rate we would have gone downtown for the night.
Good price, good location, convenient & easy to get to. Front desk staff were fantastic. Room is crowded. Bed is comfortable. A little run down. Bathroom was dirty.. hair on the floor & in the tub GROSS.
We stayed here with a group for a basketball tournament in the area. We checked into the hotel. Staff at the front desk were great upon arrival. Quick and done. As we have been travelling a lot with basketball we tend to try and get rooms with fridges. We were told this place would have a fridge. We did not get a fridge or a microwave. seemed that whoever on our team I asked they received rooms with a fridge. I talked the the front counter when we were leaving requesting a credit but I was told I had to call the manager. I have not done this as of yet because we went straight to Seattle. We were at the end of the hall on floor 3 and I assume we must have been next to a room with a kitchenette as the smells from the food came through to our room as it had an adjoining door. If we hadn't already unpacked and got settled I would have requested a different room. The beds were comfortable. The ice machine on this floor rarely made ice so we had to go to a different floor to always get ice. The air conditioner in the room was so loud I had to break out my earplugs to sleep.. it was awful but we needed it as it was quite hot. The bathroom set up was very small. The best thing here was that it was very close to the facility the boys played at.
It's a bit tricky to get to, but once there it's great. The wildlife is all around you even though you are right near the freeway. Friendly staff, nice views of the forest and quiet. Again, it's kind of off the beaten path and you can easily miss it as the signage could be better, but it's a great little stay!
We had a queen bed room for two people. It had been refurbished lately. I found the design of the bathroom was very poor. You had to slide around the toilet to use the sliding door to the shower. The levers where poorly chosen for the normal clientele of the hotel.
The hotel staff were lovely and the hotel was situated in close proximity to alot of amenities- however the recent renos were disappointing. The hotel smells like a musty old attic or closet, whoever did the renos needs to consider finishing the job. There isn't a continental breakfast - instead there is a Denny's on the property (which you pay for of course). It was ok - I think I might try another hotel next time.
From the moment I called to make a reservation the voice was so friendly and inviting. The staff were very friendly and helpful . After checking in we asked how to get to a couple places and they showed us exactly how to get there . The hotel was pretty full due to a high school age basketball tournament. So we ended up with a room with two oversized queen beds , it was so comfortable. Hotel was very clean and all kinds of restaurants and stores nearby . Check out was fast again very friendly and I would definitely stay here again .
I previously stayed in a sandman in Abbotsford which was amazing. Thought I would try the Langley location as it was just that much closer to Vancouver. They say they are updating, which badly needs to be done. My room had cobwebs on the lamp shade, holes in the drapery, and arm chair looking dingy and old. But more dismal than all of that was the fact that there is absolutely no sound proofing between rooms or hallway. I could hear word for word the conversation next door to me. And the internet was the speed and consistency of a dripping tap. I gave up and just hot spotted off my phone. My recommendation is to give this a hotel a pass unless it improves on several levels.
Quick check in. Nice goody bag. Good night rest. Nothing fancy. Comfortable room that doesn't smell like a dog has been in it (even though they have). It is nice having a Denny's attached to the hotel so you don't have to go out in the rain. Would recommend.
This is the first time in many years we stayed at this very conveniently located hotel. That is one positive, the others are: price, located close to many dining options, quiet, and super friendly staff. The negatives were , we were placed in literally the smallest room they had, and I am convinced that is because of the booking agent we used, and the duvet cover on our bed had a huge nasty stain on it. Housekeeping was very prompt in replacing it, however. The room , as mentioned was very small, but had a comfy bed. Overall, the room could have been cleaner. We would stay again, because of it's handy location just off the freeway.
