I absolutely loved my stay at the Hotel El Capitan. Parking was a breeze, plenty of space and just steps from the entrance. Inside, the place is full of history and charm, from the architecture to the decor. It’s one of those hotels where you can feel the past still alive in the walls, but everything is comfortable and welcoming.
The bar and restaurant were excellent. I ordered the pistachio chicken fried steak, which was as unique as it was delicious, and the limoncello margarita was one of the best cocktails I’ve had anywhere in West Texas. Both were reasons alone to come back.
My room overlooked the front of the hotel with a beautiful view of the mountains. It was peaceful, and at night, I opened the balcony doors to the courtyard, cool air drifting in while the sound of the fountain made it easy to relax and fall asleep.
It was a memorable stay from start to finish. The Hotel El Capitan is a real gem, and I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m heading out to my property.
