Stayed for 4 nights Monday to Friday this week. Easy to reach from the Airport via the metro. Booked a superior room on the 5th floor which was just perfect. Pleasant front desk staff who helped with directions. Loved the bar at the top floor and the pool. Easy to walk to the old town. Booked in advance for a 20% discount and really could not fault the hotel.
The good parts of the hotel are that it is conveniently located to the bus station and a nearby metro stop. Also the front desk staff that worked the morning shift were extremely helpful in giving us directions even though they spoke little English. Unfortunely, like a lot of the reviews here, this hotel is dated. There was great promise when we entered the lobby as it looked more like a 4-star hotel with the flooring and decorations. Once we got to our room that all changed. Old, badly faded paint and pictures on the wall. Beds that felt like we were sleeping on concrete. Black mold in the bathtub. And my wife and I both woke up scratching all over like we were bitten by something in the middle of the night. This hotel has promise from what you see on the ground floor and it could definitely be a 3 or 4 star hotel with some updating and cleaning. Desk clerk the next morning (around 5:30 am) not friendly. No thank you for staying nothing. He just snatched the key out of my hand before I could give it to him and sent us on our way.
very good room, enormous bathroom, all the amenities, friendly staff, lovely breakfast buffet, helpful front desk and good wifi at the business counter, helpful with suggestions about where to eat and how to get around. i would definitely come back.
Stayed 2 nights B and B in a superior room. I cant fault this room or the Hotel but other rooms a little dated. Facilities at hotel are good with a lovely roof pool and beautiful roof top bar although very expensive. Views from roof top of the city are fab. Breakfast was excellent with a vast choice of hot and cold food. Also Tres choco cake!!! Hotel is situated right next to a shopping centre which also included pizza, tapas, chinese, fosters hollywood and a couple of spanish restaurants. If your sightseeing use the red turistico bus as 2€'s more than green bus but every 20 mins and right next to hotel. About a 20 min walk into historical town. Really enjoyed it and would recommend it.
I booked this hotel for a birthday treat for me and my boyfriend, upon arrival we asked to be upgraded to the superior room (willing to pay the extra), they told us they had none left which is fine, they then told us they will give us a 'bigger' room but that it is on the 12th floor and the lift doesn't reach to there so we must walk the last flight of stairs (not a problem). Off we went to the 12th floor with our luggage, the room was an embarrassment....it looked over a huge metal thing which i guess was the air con provider for the entire hotel which permanently buzzed and made an awful sounds 24/7 - the bed was rock solid and you could feel the springs poking through, one thin blanket, the bathroom floor was dirty and dont even get me started on the smell from the bathroom... it was horrific! It smelt of dirty drains and we could permanent hear the people from the bar which was situated on the top floor right next to our room. We tried to make the most of it but it just felt dirty and the smell made us feel physically sick. We lasted one night as on the Saturday morning i woke up at 7.30 to the smell even worse, i complained and we were told we could be moved to another room within a few hours, the second room was equally very dated but no smell, this hotel just needs a lick of paint some new cabinets and new beds and it would be so much better. The roof top bar was lovely but quite expensive. Location was good, staff were helpful. Once this hotel has been re vamped it would be much better! No hair dryer or iron in the room which was a pain.
Ugh! As an adult with a good job Im not sure how I ended up at this place. The hotel is outdated, stuffy and in horrible need of attention. The paint on the walls in the rooms has clearly had one too many coats and the color itself is a drab. The beds are a joke. I had better beds in my freshman dorm in college. There is no box spring only a thin mattress covered with musty sheets that I refuse to use. I also got a horrible rash which Im assuming was either from the towels or sheets. The only upside to this roach motel is that its conveniently located. There is a mall near, plenty of eateries and it close to the metro stop. However even given this I wouldn't stay there ever again. Frankly Im just glad I made it through the 3 days I had to stay there.
This Hotel is old and tired and needs to be refurbished including improving the comfort of the beds. The staff are disinterested and not helpful. The breakfast menu is limited. It is not ideally located if you are looking for somewhere to have a meal at night.
A friend and I have recently returned to this hotel for the second time. It is in a wonderful location making it easy to access everywhere we want to visit. The amazing Turia Gardens are great for cycling round, as we did by hiring a bike from the hotel. It's a ten minute walk to the old town, again walking through the gardens. The bus stops outside the hotel to take us to the beach, about a half hour ride away. The metro station is just outside the hotel, so very easy access to and from the airport. Shopping is a treat as the centre is just behind the hotel, shoe shopping is a must. Only 5 pairs bought this year but so cheap! The breakfast is excellent with far too much choice to try everything I would like to. We also ate at the hotel restaurant on a few nights, a 3 course meal at a very reasonable price. The rooftop pool is great when you need to just relax and it's well supervised.Thank you Irene we will be back next year. Sue Cronin & Fiona Stubbs
Stayed as a family of 6 ( 3A 3C) on a 2 night stop over . On arrival the 1st impression of the inside of the hotel is very swish - marble floors and big chandelier ... until you go up in the lift, then all of the 'grandeur' vanishes We had 2 triple rooms Smells of cigarettes No hair dryer (have to go to reception) No tea making facilities Very very baron room and very dated We paid approx €412 for the 2 nights Pool is nice Bar snacks - ordered burgers for €10 ... they came without fries Breakfast €10 per person Rooms occupied by lots different people - we had a group of young gents who were taking the bins and fire extinguishers in to their rooms ... bit concerning there ! I went to supermarket to get snacks for kids and couldn't get a plate and knife to cut bread --- it was like I was asking for blood !!! Sorry but this wasn't a relaxing or ideal stay and hotel is very dated and needs help !!!!
In the heat of Valencia, its great to have a roof top pool to chill out by! The sun beds are very uncomfortable though. The bar by the pool is great for a drink and a snack, and provides a nice view at night from. It's at a perfect location close to Turia train station. The staff though leave a lot to be desired. I felt like anytime i asked them something i was putting them out as all i received from some were one were answers. When we checked out all we got was a 'thats done'. No 'thank you for staying, hope you enjoyed yourselves etc etc'. Very blunt.
