NH Centre Utrecht

Ask for washcloths as they are not included with room or most rooms in Europe. Staff very helpful and worked to solve problems. Our room just needed basic maintenance such as slow draining tub, heat lamp in bathroom out.

I spent three night here for a business trip. I have stayed here on several previous occasions too. The hotel has a great location, charm and good service. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel warns that - it being a city centre hotel - there is likely noise at night from the young population of Utrecht, and this is indeed the case. They supply free earplugs however, which definitely help. The breakfast table/buffet is worth a special mention: Erhan, the breakfast headchef, is clearly really proud of his table, and justifiably so, and he pays attention to the greatest detail, including any preferences you indicated the previous day. Overall a very pleasant stay, and if you want to explore Utrecht, then this is the place to be as you really can't beat the location.

Ant infested room including in the bed, ant nest in the bathroom, room was dirty. Poor quality breakfast, stale pastries, cooked food on offer over cooked eg. rubber scrambled eggs. Reception staff are friendly and helpful.

Average Hotel. Could be modernized. Parking Space is two Streets away. The Entrance of the parking space is by far too small (because the whole city has only very small streets). Breakfast is ok - but could be better (sausages are missing). My Room was to the street and during night it was by far too loud (maybe drunk students). All in all ok - but no highlight.

Well located hotel, facilities very good staff very accommodating. short walk to station and 30 min trip into central Amsterdam. Utrecht very pretty so make the time to look around. Lovely restaurant round the corner called Hemingway fab food. We had a great stay and would definitely return

Stayed here for two nights at the end of November. The room was a little bit small for my taste, but suffice, nor to say. Good bathroom, not so good WIFI. The TV was supposed to be smart, but apparently I'm not that smart... It was a little bit cold at night, but I pretty much like it that way, so for me it was not a problem (still, the heating system was working and one could increase the heat). The location it's great, right in the heart of Utrecht. For me, having 2 conferences in 2 days it was awesome: in the first day, I had to walk for 500 meters, while in the 2nd, the building was next door to the hotel. A little bit noisy and of course, the window soundproofing problem - the windows are very similar to those of the churches, so you can hear everything from the street (and especially on week-ends there were lot of shouting). I've read the answers of the manager that it's a historical monument and they can not replace the windows or put double windows - still, in my room 2 out of 3 windows had double windows... The only negative point was that on week-ends breakfast started at 8 am, not on 7 as on normal days. For me, having to leave before 8 this meant no breakfast (though I was billed for). Nobody at the front desk told me that I could have anything to go on my was (sandwich etc.), although I've just read some reviews that such a possibility did exist, or at least in theory. To sum up, I would go there again.

This time the room was somewhat smaller but still comfortable. The staff has provided earplugs to avoid outside noise (last time I was awaken by church bells for couple of times during night). My major objection is that room service has turned off the heating every morning , so it was very cold when I returned in the afternoon. Also I found my hair on the bathroom floor for the whole week, although the rest seemed to be pretty clean. Finally, they forgot to prepare me a breakfast box since I had to leave "early" (8 a.m.) Hmmm...

Always nice to stay in a NH Hotel and this one in Utrecht is lovely. Just there for one night while attending a conference, but a good stay. Good size room and a nice breakfast. Will remember this one when I'm back in the region.

Quiet rooms and friendly staff, showers are small and can't bend over the clean feet. The reason I only gave a 3 rating was the the shower doors had some mold on them, one room did not smell very good and they forgot to refill the toilet paper and had to call for some. It is located very nice in town and close to lots of places. Restaurant next door but I never went there. I would use the Hotel again and would recommend it to anyone and the rates are not bad.

Booked direct and got a reasonable price on this hotel. The location is great for exploring the town but it's in a busy spot and there is a lot of noise outside at night. This would be OK but the hotel still has single glazing. They provide earplugs for guests which was good but this really should be fixed. It's just not what you'd expect from this hotel chain in 2017. Condensation running down the single plane windows in the morning. I struggle to say the hotel was poor but it wasn't good either. Staff are friendly, bed and room were comfortable. Location is good.
