Very good hotel. Well mainteined, excellent location, confortable, very good service. People are attentive, it's the type of hotel to come and stay again, both for business and for tourism. Have stayed at others and think this is the best value for money.
I stayed here on my last business trip to Montevideo. A very nice and modern hotel, with friendly staff, nice services, amenities and good breakfast. Good and free Wi-Fi. Great location: a walking distance from their main shopping mall: Punta Carretas, from nice restaurants and the famous waterside promenade. Recommended.
I stayed here on my visit to the city. This is a very nice modern hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It is in a very nice neighbourhood with seaside promenades, parks, shopping, restaurants and so on but is quite a way out from the historical centre of the city. Good Wi-Fi. Small but good gym.
Tryp Montevideo: 2 nights: March 26th 27th 2017 Spent two nights to this fantastic, modern establishment. Would definitely recommend the hotel to any visiting Montevideo. Great location, friendly and helpful staff all the way. Will definitely comeback to the hotel on my next visit to Montevideo.
Conveniently located in Punta Carretas, one of the loveliest areas of Montevideo. Just steps away from a large shopping mall, nice restaurants and the "rambla", the famous waterside promenade. Rooms are nice and clean, the only complaint is that my room was a bit chilly for my taste and the lobby was freezing cold. The gym and pool are very basic but there's no need to use the gym having the lovely rambla to exercise.
This hotel is in an excellent location, close to shopping, dinning, winning, one of the best golf courses in Latin America, the Rambla and if that wasn´t good enough, its also extremely comfortable, quiet and the staff very friendly as well as helpful. What more can one want, oh yeah, free parking and it has it. The beds are as good as it gets and the rooms extremely quiet, all we needed for a good night rest. Have stayed in many hotels in Montevideo, this one takes the cake. Waill be back.
Booked this hotel for one night before boarding the ferry back to Buenos Aires and pleased we did. A great welcome, early check in and very comfortable room with a nice view over the golf course. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the surrounding area was pleasant to walk around. Easy taxi ride to get to downtown if you need hustle and bustle but we just chilled and walked down to the waterfront. On site restaurant was not brilliant in the evening but breakfast was very good
Can't sleep. There's a party at the hotel, very loud. I booked this hotel on business, I really can't believe it. The response from the concierge was lousy. They do nothing. The shower doesn't keep the temperature. And the room is full of mosquitos. The minibar is terrible. The view is horrific. Can't see anything good really!!!
I have been visiting this hotel since 2000. Very well located near the ramblas and the shopping centre After all these I must say that despite of the nice location the hotel needs urgent renovation. Furniture is outdated and especially the shower and sanitary need to be changed. Everything is old and not really working as it should be. Maybe time for me to look for another hotel in my next visit.
Used to be the Melia Hotel. Located two blocks from the Mall, in the Punta Carretas area of Montevideo. it's open lobby is updated and modernly appointed with a large inviting sitting area to the left and a small bar to the right with plenty of seating for a morning coffee or a drink before bed. the staff is very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant which I only saw open for breakfast was tucked away on the right of the check in desk. the room was large for the price and had newer bedding and the wood floor was well kept as was the updated desk, but lacked USB plugs convenient for charging. The bathroom toilet/shower area were really outdated but very clean. The lights in the sink area
