Wonderful villa in a different location than what I thought
The place was very nice, comfortable bed, hot shower, very cold and refreshing pool. We used the driver who picked us up from the airport and brought us to the villa. He checked us in and gave us an overview of the place and places to eat nearby. It wasn't until we got out and about the next day that I realized the actual location was quite a ways off of what was shown on the listing. Over 1.5 km off. I had booked mainly based on location since we wanted to be very close to the village area of Ubud where all the shops and restaurants were in close walking distance. This place, while very nice, isn't super-close to many restaurants. It is walkable to the center area of Ubud, but took a bit longer than I was anticipating. We never had much luck with calling for taxis so we did walk most of the time. There was a small store across the street so we were able to pick up beers and snacks if we were not feeling like getting a taxi or walking to the village. We did get food delivered to the villa from a restaurant one night. I believe since this villa is fairly new, drivers weren't very sure where to go when we asked for pick up or when we wanted a ride back to the village. We ended up picking out a nearby business to use as the destination instead. Again, lovely place and good experience overall, but not where I expected it to be. As the location may get fixed by the time anyone is reading this, just a note that the closest restaurant is Sage.
