We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sleep Inn & Suites - our bed was huge and the room was comfortable and clean. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were always very helpful. We were also given free access to the gym next door which was a great addition. All in all a very good trip.
The hotel was exceptional in every manner. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was wonderful and the price was outstanding! I will most definitely stay there again when I need a place in Tyler.
The hotel and atmosphere is very nice, "job well done" the personnel is very courteous and friendly. I particularly love that I can get a very nice breakfast in the morning, and they offer my favorite creamer for the coffee (hazelnut). It's a pleasure to stay there, it's a great area with a park near by or you can pick several places to eat, and the mall is close by. I was born an raised in north Tyler, but I enjoy coming out south to stay and sleep inn is a great pick for a hotel
Both my wife and I were very pleased with this hotel. All hotel staff that we came into contact with were very friendly and inviting. The check-in process was very efficient and included a couple of fresh chocolate chip cookies, which is always a nice added bonus. We booked one of the king bed "suites." The room included the king bed, a full-size couch, two TVs, a microwave, and a refrigerator that redefined the meaning of ice . . .That thing was cold. The room itself was very spacious and clean. Same can be said for the bathroom, it was both spacious and clean. It was one of the few hotel bathrooms that I didn't feel like I needed a body-sized rubber glove just to breach the door frame. All linens (towels and sheets) were clean and comfortable. The bed was a little hard for my taste, but that's true for most hotel beds, so no points off for that. All in all, though, we thoroughly enjoyed the room. The breakfast area was huge and filled with tables. We were also very happy to see high chairs available, though there were only two (that we could find), so we weren't able to use them either morning we like to sleep a little later than we probably should. The breakfast had a lot of options: four different types of cereal, assortment of muffins, waffles, pancakes, eggs, sausage, and gravy. The breakfast was pretty decent, though they couldn't keep up with the demand. One morning we weren't able to get any sausage or biscuits, the next morning we couldn't get an eggs or sausage. But, I saw piles on other guests plates, so let's just chalk that up to ungrateful guests. In the end, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Really, the only complaints I had were related to non-critical items. Unfortunately, the treadmill in the exercise room was broken. They had a sign on it that recommended using the fitness center across the street, but I simply ran the sidewalks along the street in front of the hotel (by the way, the area of the hotel is very nice). In addition, it seemed like only one of the two elevators were working. When trying to leave to go back home, we had to wait nearly eight minutes for the one working elevator to make it to our floor. I would have used the stairs, but we had a cart full of luggage. But, again, a minor complaint. All in all, I recommend this hotel if you're in Tyler. We were extremely pleased with it. Unrelated, but they had signs in the lobby that showed they supported several veterans groups . . . So, I was happy to know my money went to a good company.
We stayed two nights at this hotel while on a business trip to Tyler. My husband and I both agreed that this was one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed at. The check-in process was a breeze. Rooms are nice and spacious and our bathroom had a nice tiled walk-in shower. The breakfast area is larger than most with plenty of tables and the food, while it was your typical continental breakfast, was kept fresh and full. The entire property, inside and out, was clean and neat and the staff were all very friendly. We will stay here again if were are ever back in Tyler and will recommend it to anyone.
My family and l stayed only one night at this hotel, however, it was a restful one (for the most part). Our rooms were to be ready by 3pm but we arrived a bit earlier and the manager (Aimee) was able to speed up that process allowing us to be dressed and ready for the Grace HS Commencement Ceremony at 4pm. Many Thanks to she and her staff for doing that! After checking in Sat afternoon she invited us back to the front desk for freshly made chocolate chip cookies. Our room and overall accommodations were very good! The room had 2 queen beds, fridge, coffee maker, iron/ironing board, etc. The bath was spacious, clean, very well laid out. Once we returned later that night we noticed no parties going on, thus nice and quiet! Note: We were awakened around 3am by the hotel provided alarm clock between the beds which must have been set by the previous tenant. Of all my travels I've never thought to check the local alarm clock to see if it had been set and/or to clear it if it had. Thus, we had a few minutes of confusion in the middle of the night not knowing what the sound was, but once we unplugged the clock we returned to sleep, no harm-no foul. I only bring this up as a note to fellow travelers as well as to the hotel house keeping folks to please check your alarm clocks before going to bed to make sure they're either reset or at least set to what you want then to be. Each floor had its own ice maker and vending machines by the elevator which was very handy. The rooms a/c units were in good working order thus kept us comfortable thru out the night. The bath/shower has plenty of hot water and the water pressure was not lacking! Breakfast the next morning was above and beyond what l expected, as they had all bases covered, from cereal to biscuits & sausage gravy, eggs, pancakes & 'Texas-shaped' waffles to muffins and fruit, not to mention coffee and OJ, etc! Well done! Checkout took less than a minute,...a very nice place to stay in Tyler, TX, as the overall location within the city was excellent, thus highly recommended!
This is a chain hotel. It is not a boutique, quaint, historic or eclectic hotel. It is not over-the-top in decorator fabrics or decor. It is quite simply a nice, quiet, hotel with very large comfortable rooms and extraordinary employees who are polite, friendly and extremely helpful. One of the nicest hotels I've visited anywhere. And very reasonably priced. I would recommend it to anyone.
I have stayed here several times. It has a high rating and also a good price. Safe stop in Tyler for sure. Only negative is it's 20 plus miles from Country Tavern. The only negative is its kinda in a hard to find location.
We booked a room at this hotel for a weekend getaway during the Azalea Festival. The location of the hotel was perfect and the service was exceptionally friendly and helpful. This seems to be a fairly new hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was adequate with a fair selection of both hot and cold items, though admittedly most of these breakfasts are not a gourmet's delight. Should we be in the Tyler area again in the future we will definitely stay at this hotel.
We visited Tyler for a weekend away. We chose Sleep Inn because the price was excellent and we were not disappointed. From the delicious cookies available upon check-in to our rewards members gift and the friendly staff, we had a very nice weekend. Our room was plenty big for the two of us and comfortable. This is located in a great area of Tyler with plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby. Bonus: if you play Pokemon Go, there's a Pokestop at the fountain of the pool :D We will definitely stay here again if ever in the area and need accommodations.
