Very very nice hotel. Rooms are completely remodelled like new. Very clean. Staff is very friendly. Convenient location. Movie theatre is across the street. Walking distance to a few restaurants (salt grass and wing stop)
Stayed here for business. It wasn't the closet hotel to my business event, but it is on the strip with a variety of restaurants and stores and things to do. The hotel is nice and clean and quiet. The staff was great and I didn't have any problems whatsoever.
I can't say enough good things about the staff at the Courtyard in Tyler. Annette is an amazing event manager and she anticipated my every need. I wish I had Annette to help me with every meeting! Sarah does a terrific job with the Bistro and the food for our meeting was really good. Chelsea was great at reception and was helpful no matter what I needed. Davarious was great at facilities management and an all around good guy. Kudos to the Courtyard staff! They are well organized, efficient, proud of their property and very customer friendly.
I am a Gold elite member of Marriott and was shocked with the quality or lack there of at this Courtyard Marriott. After staying two nights I was among a group of 4 other people trying to check out and experiencing a range of problems -- one man came down because he had no soap in his room, one woman had been waiting for 30 minutes to check out (no one was at the desk). I had to ask the Bistro staff to find someone to help us. I was double billed for my breakfast and when I asked them to correct it she basically said they would have to verify that I wasn't lying and couldn't do anything. In addition, the manager wasn't available and couldn't come to try to work this problem out. The first night I tried to order food from the Bistro -- it started with them being out of hummus and then went from there. Needless to say, I bought a can of chicken and crackers and had that for dinner. Please do not stay at this hotel. They definitely do not come close to living up to the Marriott brand.
I spent the night on my way to Houston. I was very impressed with how efficient check in was and she was very cordial. My room was very clean and comfortable. Loved sinking into that chair just to relax. Took a hot shower and I had one of the most relaxing nights. Slept right through a storm. That morning, I had one of the best breakfasts yet. Very enjoyable stay.
I am so happy I chose to stay here, Caitlyn at the front desk is so sweet and helpful!!!She greeted us with a great and helpful !attitude!!After a long trip from Washington,DC it's great to feel welcomed!!We will stay here again!!
Checked in on a very busy Saturday afternoon & the poor lady at the front desk was swamped. She had a fantastic personality and handled all of the people in the lobby with a smile. Well about 1030 p.m. my husband plugged in his phone charger and blew a fuse. No tv worked no lights! We were fortunate that the same young lady was working the from desk. She came to our floor and changed the fuse herself! Within 10 minutes we had power again! The room we had was great but the bathroom needed some touch ups. Great in door pool & spa.
I wasn't sure what to expect in visiting Tyler, Tx. I was pleasantly surprised by the courtyard. It was clean and very nice and modern. There were TVs everywhere in the lobby and on the floors. The room was comfortable. Had hot water in the shower. The staff was nice. I did notice some sound between rooms and floors but it was tolerable. The internet worked well. The location seemed to be close to everything you needed in Tyler. Overall I would definitely stay here again.
Stayed one night here. Decor and rooms are very nice. Nice open lobby with bar and restaurant. Couple of things I dislike, no free breakfast, and you can not accumulate points when booking on Expedia. Nice, but can find better at the price I paid.
I'm a SPG'er, and found this on Marriott's site. Checked the TA reviews 1st (as I always do) - and this looked to be a good place to spend my one night in town. Very Nice Hotel! I really enjoyed the look and feel of the hotel and my room. Excellent staff; clean and very comfortable room. I will stay here again and recommend to my friends in Tyler area for them to use for their visitors.
