Close walk to the train station, next to the river for a nice river walk, rooms are comfortable, staff are very friendly and all speak three languages. The breakfast buffet is very comprehensive and includes a variety of Finnish items as well as "global" items. This is the only place I stay in Turku,
Stayed here for a few days while in town for business. Staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was very good and full service with many selections. The hotel is located in a very nice area along the river and easy walking to all the local restaurants museums and attractions. The rooms were very sizable and clean. I will definitely be staying here when in town again.
I have been in this hotel a few times and I find that the breakfast buffet is amazing. The restaurant and bar have a nice riverview and the rooms are ok. The inly issue is the price of a glass of wine ... rudiculously high (but this is everywhere in Finland).
Typical four stars Redisson hotel, with very good breakfests and reasonable speed wi-fi. If possible - try to book a room with river view. Excellent reception service, but parking is expensive. Well eqipped gym center.
Spent the night with food and drinks. Very high prices, medium quality food and drinks. I would go elsewhere as there are plenty of better options in Turku in near approximity. The ordered gin and tonic was 14euros and it looked like a cheap spritzer.
We stayed at the Radisson Blu in Turku for one night on a round trip through Finland catching the ferry to Aland the next day. Location: Walking distance to the town centre, quick drive to the ferries. Parking expensive: 24€/night. Street parking after 16h possible at no cost until 8 in the morning plus one hour on either side if you adjust the parking meter inbetween. An international four star with everything that you expect. Highlights / remarkable: - Safe deposit box fits laptop plus DSLR (no lenses attached). - Large bathroom (largest I encountered in Finland). - Large mirror over bed with red-white ambient LED light. - Nice wooden floor. - Modern furniture. - Thick mattress. - Selection of pillows and duvets. - Very nice hairdryer. Lowlights: - Electric outlet in bathroom did not work. - A/c didn't work properly. Set it to 20 degrees, never reached that temperature (stayed at 22 to 23) although it was only 15 outside. Wonder what it will do in warmer summer weather. Soso: - Mini bar had no space left for own drinks. - Temperature of water at sink in bathroom not easy to adjust and is unstable. Breakfast: Plus: - large glasses - pink grapefruit juice - newspapers (international) - cream cheese - apple bread Minus: - Scrambled eggs. Not freshly made, tasted not good at all, very much like the "stuff" that you get in really cheap hotels. In total still 4 points for me.
The hotel is located only 5/10 minutes away from the center of Turku, which is convenient. The rooms were spacious and clean. We didn't have much of a view but that didn't bother us. Staff were friendly and breakfast had good variety and was tasty. Only thing was the €24 to park for one night.
7th floor room with absolutely stunning riverside view. Lights were so beautiful while snow flakes playing above the Aura River. Location is just perfect cause it's only 5 minute walk to the city centre.
Just a 13 minute walk from the train station and looking out onto the Aura river. I was given a recently renovated room, which was nicely spacious. The bathroom space was well appointed also. Only drawback the shower on/off handle - difficult to manage with wrt/soapy hands. Was a little disappointed that the amenities were not refilled for the second night- no delicious hot chocolate! The breakfast buffet was ample, with a fresh eggs counter and the best crispy bacon ever. Nice walking/jogging possibilities along the riverside right outside the hotel. I walked everywhere in Turku to see the sights, especially also the awesome new public library.
I have made business trips to Turku for almost 30 years now. Maybe just once a year but that makes dozens of trips, and hotel nights. For some reason I almost every time select this hotel. During the decades it's been owned by different companies, now a Radisson SAS. This time again, I thought afterwards what's the lure. The room was alright but nothing special in it and feels its age here and there. Though still tidy. Bed was OK. However always overall feeling has been the same - everything works and it doesn't dissapoint your expectations. Location is good by the Aura river and service friendly and efficent. Had a good sleep and with a breakfast that was of very good quality (and complimentary which is the norm in Finland), had an excellent start for my new day in Turku. The hotel has got an Old School charm of the 80's grand new business hotels, but it is still going strong.
