Hotel Roma E Rocca Cavour3.0 out of 5.0

The historic Hotel Roma e Rocca Cavour was a series of very pleasant surprises. The location is excellent, just a few steps from the Porto Nuova train station and close to a wide range of shopping and dining. Behind the 1854 exterior the entire facility seems as if it were refurbished last month. Everything is clean and refreshing, with modern comforts, polished wood floors and classic high ceilings. You’re in for a good night’s sleep, because the bedding is exceptional, with a variety of excellent pillows and high-end Italian linens. Superb towels and linens in the bathroom too. At home I have a Tempur Pedic and Frette sheets; this hotel bed is as good or better. The breakfast buffet is as good as anything outside of Las Vegas. Freshly squeezed melon and other juices, a variety of fresh-baked pastries and all the usual cereals, fruits, meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs etc. An espresso machine provides fresh coffee. The outdoor patio is a lovely place to breakfast. Check-in and check-out were seamless. A bargain!
This place has the perfect location in a great very nice neighborhood. Good sized rooms and spacious bathrooms. Breakfast is to be expected and the service was welcoming. I would definitely stay here again
Location of hotel is brilliant close to railway station & all attractions within walking distance. Check in was very disheartening & without a smile, pleasantly, or any information about Turin. Room 325 was at back of hotel overlooking & overlooked by other apartments. The room while adequate was spartan without one item of embellishment. Bathroom was ok but odorous. It would have been nice at checkout if we had been informed that there were demonstrations planned in Turin that day & airport bus was not running. We would not have made our flight if it wasn’t for helpful locals, we had to use metro & then bus at Porto Susi, Turin a fabulous city but will stay different hotel next time
One of the oldest hotels in Turin, the owners have thankfully retained its original palatial, old-world elegance while tastefully marrying in most of the modern comforts we expect of a top modern establishment. Our Comfort room/suite had a marble floor, classic period furnishings, long balcony, palace-height ceiling and the biggest, most comfortable bed. If there was any criticism of our accommodation it would be the man-hating loo seat and the curtained open shower. But we can forgive that for the wonderful experience of sharing in the atmosphere of this special hotel with its super-efficient modern lifts, informal, dog-friendly atmosphere and convenient (20 euros a night) adjacent underground parking. You can opt to have just coffee or the inexpensive breakfast but there's plenty of more atmospheric choice underneath the arched pavements outside. And then there's the superb location in historic Piazza Carlo Felice, overlooking gardens, at one end of the best street in town close to cafes, bars and restaurants as well as rail, tram and bus connections. A definite keeper!
The hotel is perfectly located, a few steps away from one of Turin's main stations. It is near bars and restaurants and very close to Via Roma, one of the most famous roads in Turin, full of shops. The hotel itself is very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast is very good but seem to not vary much from day to day. Excellent place for couples or business travellers.
The hotel lies in a square directly opposite one of Turin's main railway stations. The airport bus service goes from the same square which was extremely handy. Pleasant staff and rooms light and spacious. Very reasonably priced for somewhere so central.
The hotel is very well located and easy to find. We walked to the hotel from the Porta Susa train station and when we left Turin we left from the Porta Nuova train station across the street from the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and forgiving of our poor Italian. For the low price we were not expecting such a spacious room and great breakfast. Our bathroom was also huge. Great value! There are many restaurants, cafes and shops within easy walking distance. We walked everywhere from this location. I would definitely stay here again.
I had a lovely spacious room with a small balcony facing the park out the front of the hotel. Nice size bathroom, though the floor got quite wet after every shower. Breakfast had limited choices, but was adequate. I had no hassles with the Wi-Fi. Location is fantastic, though the staff weren't overly friendly or helpful. Still I would stay again and would recommend.
It’s a pity! An old style hotel, with a nice big room and a delicious breakfast, nice staff too. BUT, unfortunately the internet was simply awful; I called up the front desk a lot of times, all in vain... We had a problem with the bathroom because water leaked every time we showered.
We spent 3 good days in this hotel and were well satisfied with it’s convenient position, our room and ample breakfast. The staff were particularly helpful to us when we returned from the Motor museum in Lingotto having been robbed (in the cafe area) We showed them the police report and they immediately did whatever they could to help us. Thank you very much for your kindness support.
