We were spending one night in Turin before heading into the mountains, and picked Concord Hotel because it was across from the train station. The lobby decor was quite dated, and the staff wasn’t the warmest, but you get the convenience you paid for. The rooms are modern, the elevator is bigger than the standard European sardine can, and the breakfast was quite filling. A few hints: 1) don’t drink anything from the Mini Bar. There is a convenience store attached to the hotel on the north end of the block (must enter from outside). They sell the e.50 water in the minibar for e2.50. 2) there are many good and affordable restaurants beyond Piazza San Carlo. Walk past there for food. 3) open the window if your upper floor room is too warm like ours. The temperature control doesn’t work great, and you will use your windows as the primary temp control.
I was used to avoid the hotels in the center of Turin around the train station they were shabby and not well maintained. I was wrong !. Investment have been done and our short stay at the concord has been a lovely surprise. The hotel has been completely renewed. The rooms are tidy and with a nice modern and comfortable look And obviously the location is unbeatable everything is at walking distance The hotel being In a secondary street is very quiet which is a great plus in the busy center
Stayed for one night on the 3/02/18 to watch the Juventus game on the next day before going to go to ski resort in France. Check in was quick and I was allocated room 307. The room was very spacious and had a double balcony over looking the Main Street below. The room was spotlessly clean and had all the luxuries that you needed for a short stay. The Tv had mixed language channels, and there was a nice lobby area to the room. The bathroom was also very spacious and was very clean. The location is excellent. Walk outside and there is the Puerta Nuova stop, and you are also near the shopping street of via Roma. The breakfast is really good and has a variety of choices for everyone. If I ever find myself in Turin again I would stay here. You can get the bus from the airport direct to the Puerta Nuova stop and walk across the road by decathlon and the hotel is there. Tickets can be bought from the newsagents in the arrivals hall in Turin airport.
Very nice hotel, excellent location close to Turin Central Station, the service and the rooms are very good and we were pleased with it. the brakfast was good and tasty, we hope next to come again!!!!
First time i stayed at this hotel and was rather skeptic having read reviews and saw guest photos but must say for the price we paid i was rather surprised. We had 2 rooms on the second floor, decently furbished and comfortable with minibar, tv etc. Clean and well kept. Breakfast was good for an Italian city hotel, better on days when there are conferences since they open the restaurant and have quality coffee machines, whilst everything is continuously replenished. Wasn't the same on Sunday and Monday morning when there were no business guest. Other issues heating too hot and cannot control it had to open the windows and construction work noise going on from 8.00 am onward on weekdays, still having stayed in a few other hotels in Italy i would say the rate is just right for what you get and location is a bonus, will be staying again.
We arrived to Turin on 9th of December afternoon, to see the legendary DEPECHE MODE music band, who played at Pala Alpitour Indoor Arena at that night. We checked in about 4:30 pm. We stayed only one night in the room #405. CONCORD HOTEL has ideal location, it is totally in the downtown, Porta Nouva railway station, metro & tram line, restaurants, shops not even 2 minutes walking distance. Room was stylish, very clean, higher standard than an average 4 star hotel has. I would like to say huge thank you to ROBERTA (extremely highlighted!) receptionist, who gave us very useful information regarding the DEPECHE MODE concert, access of the venue, transportation and more. She explained everything what we should know about the hotel and room quickly, but she did also precise, professional, smiling manner. . (Not to lose too much time was a key thing at that night, we have been late already). ROBERTA warm and professional welcome is a great example of the stunning first impression. Check out, and other concierge services (restaurant recommendation, luggage room) was working properly too, lovely staff, highly recommended, great 4 star hotel. Grazie CONCORD HOTEL! we stayed three nights. Arrived early Sunday morning and had to wait until we could check in at 1pm. But the receptionist and lovely porter Pino looked after our luggage. Make sure you view the rooms first. Up to the third floor most rooms have not been renovated and they are old, dark and tired. Take a look at several rooms before you book in. The 4th and 5th floor rooms are all modernised with showers. If you want a bath you have to stay on the 3rd floor. The rooms were cleaned really well each day and due to the freezing cold outside, extra blankets were made available. The breakfast was nothing special and though breakfast was served until 10am, the food ran out by 9am such as coffee, eggs, beans etc. The cakes look great but are totally tasteless and for some reason every cake had the prefix 'vegan'. Plenty of fresh fruit and yoghurt though. The location was brilliant. You walk everywhere. Do not buy any Turin card or transport cards. The airport bus stop is just 500 metres across the road near the Porta Nuova. The bus to the airport takes a good hour, so allow plenty of time.
Location is good but heating is only put on at 7pm and switched off at night. Not a comfortable way to spend a night. It is a pity that there is a general lack of attention in order for the hotel to call itself a 4 star. Windows are not properly sealed and wind comes in.
Excellent location near main railway station, near to all attractions. Facilities superb, breakfast buffet style, fresh and healthy as well as hot choices, would definitely return. Room cleaned daily and towels changed too, staff pleasant and helpful.
We were staying in this hotel for one night, the location is great, just in front of the train station, and in the entrance to the centre, and the pedestrian street, in the hotel area there are many restaurants and shops. we booked the sky room, which was really nice and above our expectations, shower was really nice, and room was big, even with a small balcony overlooking the street, which was so nice. breakfast was average for this level of hotel. the wifi was awful, really slow and was disconnecting quite often. service was good, especially of the front desk. good value for money, just must improve the wifi quality.
