It is unfortunate that I need to rate this hotel 2 stars. It is officially rated as 4 stars however after staying in 3-5 star accommodation across the world, this hotel is below the standard I have encountered. Turin is a big and bustling city and this hotel is located in the centre, walking distance to the major attractions and a 5 min walk to the central station. We found the hotel to be quite large and therefore the style spoke to a mass production approach. We arrived at 12pm and being early, our room wasn't ready. This is fair however we were told it wouldn't be too long (45mins) so we decided to eat lunch close by. The reception staff failed to keep us informed until 2pm for check in. This was disappointing as we waited in the foyer without a drink or wifi, this was not a warm welcome. Our room was very small, run down and dirty. The only and very small window had a broken curtain, there was small pieces of broken glass on the floor, the skirting board was broken and there was hair in the bathroom. The heater was automatically set to come on when we were out and was set to 26 degrees. We reported this and it was not fixed. The breakfast had a range of options but was a massive room that resembled a function/event. The rooms facing the street may be in better condition however the star rating shouldn't change room to room. The positives are that there was one reception staff member who was warm and helpful and the location.
The hotel is only 5 minutes from the station. It is super convenient for you to explore. The staff are all very nice. We asked the reception to help us to print the boarding pass for the train. They will give you different advices about the city as well. I will say their services are very impressive.
Stopped overnight on the way to The Italian Riviera.Lovely hotel clean comfortable, great food.Very good location near to train station.Good place to stay if visiting Juventus football stadium 20 mins in taxi.
This hotel was just fine for our one night stop on a train ride through Italy and France. The location was good as we could walk to the tourist office and got information about the Hop On Hop Off bus tour (which we took with a stop not too far away). The front desk didn't offer much tourist information nor were there any brochures that we remember but they were friendly enough. The included breakfast was nicely laid out and tasty. We'd recommend this hotel.
This was an overnight stop on our Rail Discoveries tour. Very pleased with the warm welcome and the beautiful room. We had a group evening meal in the hotel with delicious food and excellent service. The breakfast choices were probably the best we had had in our whole tour.
My partner and I stayed overnight in September 2017. We were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable room and great location of the hotel to both the main pedestrian mall of Turin and the railway station. All of the main attractions such as the famous coffee houses, churches, Mole Attonelliana and the cinema museum. There are also great restaurants within walking distance. A delicious breakfast was included with the room. I would definitely stay here again.
Stayed for one night. Bread breakfast and evening meal. Food very good, especially the breakfast. Spacious bedroom and bathroom, clean and well maintained. Well situated to explore Turin and local bars.
Possibly the best hotel I've stayed in this trip in Italy. Clean, modern and with great facilities in the room. The receptionists and staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite good too with wide selection. Room and bathroom are well designed, clean and roomy. I like the small balcony that look out to the street. The bed was huge and comfortable When leaving, the receptionist even gave me a padlock for free when I asked where I could purchase one since I lost it. And best of all, the rate is not a lot.. could have stayed here longer! Perhaps the only problem was the air conditioning which turns on and off at times but the temperature remains cold so I could live with that.
The Concord hotel is perfectly located in the historical centre of Turin, short walk from the Porta Nuova train station, very close to the Museo Egizio. We caught Airport shuttle bus (for Euro 6.50 each) from the airport to the train station. The trip takes 45 min. We arrived at the hotel at 12:00, too early to check in. Our bags were stored for us in a secure area, while we went out to lunch. Our room was ready when we returned one hour later. The room was of a good size, and we had a balcony with a beautiful view of the street. We had an electric jug, 3 tea bags and 1 sachet of Nescafe to share, which was rather disappointing! On the other hand, it was rather good to see that the fridge had plenty of room for our food. The bathroom was spacious with a shower over the bathtub and there was a nice selection of toiletries provided and replaced each day. Breakfast was included in the price, and it was the best breakfast we have ever had in Italy. Beds were comfortable, but pillows were terrible. We asked Reception staff if they had softer pillows and we were supplied with 3 new pillows, which were not much better than the original once. Coffee and tea was not replaced once during our 5 night stay and the beds were not changed even once, but that seems to be a normal practice these days. We also had to ask for a toilet paper on couple of occasions, which was rather annoying. Summarising our stay we enjoyed our time at the Concord hotel mainly due to the perfect location, nice room and a view form the balcony and of course a great breakfast. Our thanks must go to the wonderful reception staff who were always polite, friendly and helpful.
