We loved the hotel. The room was amazing, the property was breathtaking and the service was amazing. However, on the second night things got really bad- It was a nightmare and nothing I have ever experienced in my life. I have read reviews about the scorpion in the bed and thought it was just a one situation... I was wrong!!! I woke up at 2am and there it was a huge scorpion in our bed's canopy. I freaked out and woke up my fiance. I was in extreme distress to wake up to that in our bed. We immediately got out of bed and killed the scorpion. I just couldnt stay in that room anymore and we decided we were going to pack and leave the room. I went to use the bathroom and there was a gigantic blck and hairy tarantula in the bathroom wall, and that was it for me. We unpack to make sure there was no animals in our bags, we pack up and left the room. It was pitch dark outside (all lights goes out at 11pm), and our only option was to either lay on the bed on the beach to wait until the sun came out so we could go somewhere else, but we didnt feel very safe sleeping on the beach in Mexico where you cant see anything around you, then we decided to go to sleep in the car, which it was impossible. It was 90 degrees outside and the car was parked in the jungle and we couldnt even leave the windows open, so that was a no. It was a very tough night with no sleep and feeling unsafe. We requested a refund for only the night that this happened and they denied. We had zero sleep!

Overall, we loved our stay at Diamante K. The cabin was beautiful and rustic, we loved our balcony and ocean view. Waking up listening to the birds and ocean was magical. The beds were super comfy and the bug nets were perfects. Breakfast was wonderful and we ate at the restaurant onsite a number of times (get the grilled octopus and the empanadas!) The ONE incredibly disappointing thing worth mention were the massages my husband and I got. I am not a massage newbie, nor a massage snob and my expectations for bodywork received while abroad is generally pretty low. I used to be a massage therapist and currently own a boutique day spa where I oversee 15 licensed massage therapists. The Massage therapist we ended up with (we saw her back to back) was....very poorly trained. Maybe even no training. She did the same stroke for 2o minutes on the back, seemed to have no knowledge of muscular anatomy and was certainly giving every one of her clients the same massage. It was definitely a "just enjoy this for what it is" hour. Although that was even hard because there was so much sand in the massage oil it could've been sold as an exfoliation. She totally should've taken a towel to wipe away the sand before beginning. (also, I get that we were on the beach and sand is hard to control...) She was perfectly nice and polite but it was definitely not work the $75 per hour massage we paid. Maybe a $10 beach massage at best. Stay there, but skip the massage.

Great oceanfront vibe, well kept cabanas, good restaurant bar on site. Minutes from town, Tulum ruins a short walk down the road, with access to a great walking beach.

Beachfront with a rocky coast, private swim beach, minutes from a long beach to the Tulum ruins. Minutes from town

The property had an amazing view of the beach and was very clean.

We stayed in the king suite with the private shower, and it was beyond beautiful. The entire place was. The service and food at the restaurant were great. Unbearably hot though. I thought the ocean breeze would be enough, but I ended up being so uncomfortable that all I wanted to do was lay under the fan. Not the hotel’s fault, but something to think about if you’re used to being able to escape to a/c.

Definitely a place to relax and disconnect. Due to the Sargasso in the beaches of Tulum, there was no access to the beach at the hotel and there was no pool either. Visiting the local Cenotes was the only option available to seek comfort from the summer heat during our visit. Besides that, you could stay and enjoy the quiet and serenity (maybe read a book). One Dislike for me was the "shared showers" situation. There were service staff giggling and laughing outside the showers, making me feel as if they were watching, it was very uncomfortable. Anyhow, I am sure it had nothing to do with me (I hope) but it was definitely not an enjoyable experience. So beware of the no shower or toilets as part of your room stay. You have to used this as a community based commodity.

Loved it here, such a magical place to stay. We thought the location was perfect, staff was friendly and the views and beach access were wonderful.

excellent location, excellent food, best staff in Tulum. .A beautiful place to come again

excellent choice for a comfortable clean cabin on the beach, The staff was amazing. I will stay here again if I return to this area. Great food and the facility is very well maintained. Thanks I had a great time, I would stay here an entire week

This hotel gave you the full paradise feeling! The food was amazing ate every meal by the water, only things the rooms didn’t have AC but the breeze being by the ocean I didn’t even notice. Some of the best sleep I ever had ! Will def be coming back

Hermoso hotel! Una vista increíble! Súper romántico!

I found the hotel was true to the advertisement. had a great time.

the place is beautiful and the facilities are great. the staff is very pleasant.

My wife and I stayed there one night and really enjoyed the overall experience. Emiliano helped us to carry our oversize luggage to our room which was located on the second floor. The waiter Jorge was super attentive and checked on our table about 4 times. He makes an incredible Diamante coffee (cold). You must try their Sopa de Lima (lime soup), out of the world! We had it 3 times in that one day we were there and every time looked different but was delicious. Their jumbo shrimp is also incredible. Live music was going on that night and it was a highlight of our trip. What an skillful guitarist and sweet and deep voice singer! It was some sort of Caribbean or Latin jazz. This is a unique little hotel by the beach, a bit pricey but still more affordable other ones you would near by. I don't know who owns this hotel but it doesn't give you a feeling that it is a corporate-owned hotel.

Dear Lorraine thanks for choosing us. We are glad to know you liked our place. Part of it's enchant is to be a sacred nature environment. That's the reason why guests can find insects on the room. Not usually because we fumigate very often, but that can also make them appear. We are sorry that this disturbed your rest.
