I stayed at the Manoir Becancourt for one night in the Marie Antoinette room, which the describe as a "junior" room. It was perfect for one and I think would be fine for two. The decor was really charming, with a blue and white theme, crystal chandelier, and of course, a portrait of the room's namesake. The room as an en-suite bathroom lacking only a tub, which I didn't need. The mini-refrigerator and coffeemaker were handy. The staff speaks perfect English and are very friendly. The host carried my bag upstairs and showed me to my room. The bed was fantastic with a luxurious pillowtop mattress. The free wifi works great, as did the cable tv and the window AC. Breakfast included an omlette and a selection of pastries and other items. An outside hot tub is available. Parking was a bit tight, and the shower/bathroom floor was a little slippery (a mat would help). It's easy to overlook little stuff when I consider I would have paid the same price or more for a generic motel room with an industrial mattress in Three Rivers Bencancour is a sleepy little town just across the river from Trois-Rivières (Three Rivers), where I went site-seeing the next day, and about half-way between Montreal and Quebec City. I had an excellent, uniquely flavored BBQ rib dinner at the Pub Au Cochon Fume just up the street. This is just the kind of place I love to find when I'm on vacation.

I was looking for a hotel in Trois-Rivieres and most hotels were booked so I decided to try this Manoir. I was enchanted! I arrived in Becancour, it was pouring rain and I was really sick. The restaurant was closed (only opened from Wed to Sat) so I was recommended the local Pub. I walked (didn't think it was that far, which it isn't but when raining and sick not a good idea). I was amazed by the food at the pub. You must try the poutine (with smoked cheese) absolutely delicious. Mentioned to the waitress that I had walked and she came back and said the other lady would drive me back to the Manoir. That nice lady was Jasmine the owner of the Manoir. Very sweet person, I mentioned that I did not have a bath in my room and feeling sick I felt like taking a bath. Since it was not too busy that night, she upgraded me to a nice room with a bath. I was so happy! The next morning the breakfast was really good (lots of choices) and the French lady from France at the front desk was absolutely wonderful! I cannot wait to come back and this time try the restaurant as I hear it is fabulous. If you think of going to Trois-Rivieres, I strongly recommend you stay at the Manoir. Only 10-15 mins from Trois-Rivieres but so nice and cosy :)

Following our two-night stay at the Manoir Bécancourt,I felf compelled to comment on our experience.Upon arriving,,we were quickly offered an upgrade to the Penthouse since there were some small renovations being done in a few rooms including our.It is basically like a big 4 1/2 with all the commodities.Very charming place.Dinner was equally as good with a 6 course dinner with plates all ranging from good to excellent ( beef carpaccio ).The service was impeccable as well .The spa was just perfect.Very spacious and clean with just the right temperature.Overall, nothing bad to say about the place. It may be a bit out of the way if you plan on visiting Trois-Rivières but don't let that stop you from staying there .You won't regret it.

We stayed at this place for two days while visiting Troise Rivieres, and we really enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere at this hotel. The experience would've been perfect if not for the fact that we got a room that was just above the kitchen, so there was a bit of noise at night when the dishes were being washed. Speaking of the kitchen, I would definitely recommend dining at the Manoir restaurant on the main floor, as we found the food to be delicious, and it was probably the highlight of our stay there. There is also a restaurant-bar down the street which i believe is owned by the same owner, where you can get pretty decent pub food, but the restaurant at the hotel was definitely on a different level. The room we stayed in was junior room, and other than the noise in the evening, it was very clean and cozy. The bathroom has a very spacious shower, and the room had a very French feeling which we really enjoyed (I think it was themed after Marie Antoinette). There's also a jacuzzi in the garden, and it was awesome to relax in it while enjoying the quiet country atmosphere. The staff at the motel was very forthcoming yet unobtrusive, so we felt almost like the place was ours at times. Overall, it was a nice experience, and even though i rarely go to the same place twice I'd probably come back to Manoir if i ever come to this area again.

When we arrived we were told that their booking system had booked us in for two days later although we had confirmation of the correct date. Fortunately there was one room left although it was smaller than the one we had originally booked. We had dinner at the hotel and this was a highlight of our three weeks in Canada. The meal was absolutely superb and beautifully presented.

We visited en route to Quebec. At the very reasonable price we had no great expectations but we're very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in an old house and on first looks appears a bit old and tired but the rooms have been very well and imaginatively redecorated. The bathrooms are huge with rain showers and standalone tub. The beds are really comfortable and the room feels stylish. The restaurant itself was old fashioned but the food was outstanding and the meal excellent. A very good and reasonable wine list. Service was friendly and efficient and helpful. Some elements such as stair carpets and bath mats could do with replacing but overall the value was excellent and we would strongly recommend this hotel. Thank you.

We only stayed here for one night - I wish it was longer! There were three of us, and we made a reservation online at very late notice, but I don't think that the owner knew that rooms there were available on booking.com! However, she was very accommodating and made sure that we had everything that we needed. We were in the 'Victorian' and 'Black and White' suites in the old part of the manor, which although differently decorated (b&w was much more modern, Victorian was more vintage) were both done very tastefully and comfortably. As mentioned in other reviews, the bathrooms were lovely and spacious and had great claw footed tubs. My daughter particularly liked the paintings in the b&w room. One word of caution, the restaurant at the hotel is only open from Wednesday to Saturday so we missed out, but there was a very nice continental breakfast in the morning.

What a great time we had at this home! Our host never stopped trying to please her guests. We stayed in the B&W suite and it was large and comfortable. Great bathroom and shower. Wonderful free wifi and phone calls to the US were free too. Our dinner was excellent---the restaurant was full. We were there on a Wed. night. and had excellent service. Unusual offerings, but we especially enjoyed the scallops. The chef did a nice job of food presentation too. We could watch her prepare which was fun. I like to read, so my only problem was the low light in the lamps. Also could include hooks in the bathroom for used towel. All in all, we had a wonderful visit. Would recommend!

A friend and I stayed here for just one night and were very please. Hotel is very clean and the decoration of our room was very elegant. Beds comfortable and room/hotel very clean. The outdoor area was very nice and had some comfortable furniture, flowers to look at and a hot tub, which we used.

Booked for three nights, arrived early afternoon. All doors locked. Rang bell , got reply, then waited 10 minutes. Walked to side entrance (also locked) finally was met by young lady. Asked about restaurant (the only reason we booked) was informed they were closed the next two nights. Same owner, we were told, owns pub just down the street. Were given written instructions to not bring food or drink to our room and, no, we could not buy a drink at the restaurant cause they would not be open. Spoke by phone with owner who said ok to eat in room. Too many rules nobody very helpful! Cancelled reservation with Expedia and found a better place some 10 miles away. Had a look at pub on our way out of town, thought it looked pretty ordinary. Is the owner in the gourmet restaurant business or what? One other caveat...Expedia "special offer " for 3 nights came to more than four hundred bucks. Room only. I looked at same place on Expedia only a few minutes ago, saw rooms listed for $89.00. If I've misunderstood something about this place, please tell me. Otherwise, I recommend you stay FAR away from it.
