I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express Trier. The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to the Mosel River, which made it easy to enjoy walks along the water and take in the beautiful surroundings. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, and the rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable. Breakfast had a great variety of options, making for a perfect start to the day. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Trier.

no AC in room first night. the room was 26 when i got there, was 25 in the next morning. I had a thermometer with me. Hardly slept. They moved me to another room the next night where the AC worked fine. They claimed it was working fine.

Whilst this is a little walk from Trier station (about half an hour), the hotel is terrific: staff are friendly, the room quality is great and the breakfast was plentiful.

There are better alternatives

Not a terrible hotel, but too pricy for what it was. Extremely slow check-in. No parking spots left. Had to park down the road. Had to walk on a busy road at night to get back from car to hotel. Charged for parking anyway - though got a refund. No air conditioning so had to open windows with lots of street noise. WiFi didn’t work. So many little things make this a place I would not recommend.

A nice hotel close to the river walkway

The hotel was a lovely place overall with spacious and clean rooms. The Aircon was not working very well which made the room rather hot all night and therefore, a little uncomfortable. The breakfast was good. Hotel was around a 25 minute walk from the central area but it was a lovely walk along the river around the back of the hotel.

Air condition did not get cool even at the lowest settings and fan on high! It was not hot outside, but no way to get the cool air to come inside so it was way too hot in the room. The breakfast however was fantastic with lots of choices and good coffee!

Clean and well maintained facility. Staff members are friendly, and our room was facing back side of the main road and super quiet. The blackout curtain worked well too. Enjoyed the breakfast also. It was a great stay visiting Trier.

The hotel was fine; as to be expected of a hotel in this chain. It was just outside the center of Trier, so we had to walk a little bit for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants.
