We are on a coach holiday with Shearings this is our last evening here and all I can say is that we have had a fabulous holiday. The hotel is situated in Arco which is a beautiful little spa town surrounded by mountains. There are plenty of bars cafes etc.and a bus service into riva del garda costing 2 euros return. The rooms in the hotel are large clean and have views across to the mountains. There is a small swimming pool and plenty of seating outside. The staff are very efficient and curtious even when dealing with some awkward guests. I would highly recommend this hotel and would have no hesitation in returning Judy
The staff are hardworking and courteous despite being faced with some obnoxious guests. You won't find egg and bacon for breakfast but there is a wide selection of food available for breakfast including fresh fruit. For dinner there is soup 2 lots of pasta and a choice of meat and fish cakes and fruit. No one need go hungry. There is plenty of outdoor seating. The rooms are large and air conditioning can be left on 24/7. The bus station is nearby and visiting Riva Del Garda is a bargain at 2 euros return. The location of the hotel is good because there isn't a lot of tourists in Arco so it is very peaceful. Would have no hesitation returning to the hotel
We have just returned from the Villa Delle Rosa, Perhaps we didn't stay at the same hotel some of the other people reporting on here did! We had an excellent room, the staff with the exception of one were all very polite and courteous ( for those of you who say they were surly, well perhaps they had seen enough of whinging Brits) Our room was spotless, the first thing we did on arrival was to strip the bed and inspect the mattress - spotless -, I don't know where the comments about dirtiness came from - this hotel was perfectly clean, for the money you pay this hotel and its staff offer an excellent deal, if we had listened to all the petty whingers on here we simply would not have gone, however, we chose to ignore them and had one of the best holidays I have ever been on!!!!
Spent a week here on a shearing holiday. One word awful. Staff rude and unhelpful. Food dreadful. Pool dangerous. No air con with temps over 30 degrees. No even a one star in my opinion. Couldn't even get water outside bar opening times.

Our room was basic it smelt fusty but clean, unfortunately no mattress/pillow protectors, I pulled back the sheet and the mattress was stained in 2/3 places went and complained they offered another room but as we were with friends wanted to stay nearby so used 3rd bed in room. The food was poor with pasta every lunch/dinner and sweets from one night were put out for breakfast the next day and for the first 3days meat/cheese for breakfast was left out on uncovered plates with flies about, on the 4th day the meat etc was put out in trays with covers on, don't know why maybe other people complained. The inclusive drinks were pumps of red/white wine along with lager plus tea/coffee/soft drinks. The pool steps were broken so you would have difficulty getting out. The packed lunch consisted of a hard roll no butter, apple, water and small container with the usual pasta. Why are Shearings using this hotel as compared with Brittania Lake Como there is no comparison.
Wouldn't go here again if it was free.rubbish food ignorant staff.needs major investment to make it even a 1 star hotel.shearings needs to review this hotel.Arco itself is a charming little place with plenty of shops and cafes.recommend the cafe central ,food is very good and reasonably priced.staff are very friendly and always have a smile.
Rooms comfy and clean, towels and beds done every day. Staff friendly, food was quite nice and catered for everyone, usually about 5 different choices plus soup, salad every night and choice of puddings. Hotel situated in a nice little town just a few minutes walk away, we was on a shearings coach holiday so was out most days but did visit the town on our rest day. Drinks were beer, wine and soft drink any other alcohol had to be paid for, drinks were a self service,
Staff surly and unhelpful, no help to find lights in sauna /Jacuzzi, couldn't find changing room. No vegetables or fresh fruit at all, cold plates, cold food, packed lunches of Pasta or rice susceptible to the warm temperatures, until eaten at lunch time. swimming pool not filled although weather bright and sunny. perhaps Shearings should think deeply about using this hotel in future .
The hotel restaurant was closed when I arrived at the hotel (completely closed, not closed for the night, closed permanently). There was no food at the hotel. I was not notified of this in advance. So I could not eat a meal (they suggested I order a pizza in from the nearby village but I cannot eat wheat). My room had a fuse box three feet above the pillow of my bed. This buzzed continually. Despite taking a sleeping pill I could not sleep. They showed me one other room, and that was even noisier. I worked out that if I turned off all the fuses (and thus had no power in my room – no lights, etc) then there was no noise and I could sleep. The hotel had no iron, so I could not iron my shirts. The people at reception told me they would refund my room and help me find another hotel, but they couldn’t as Expedia would not let them. Expedia refused a refund, saying it was the hotel saying they were not willing to refund me. The worst customer experience in thirty years of travelling.
