I loved everything here. Amazing location, walkable to the closest piazzo tasso. Buffets and ambiance of the hotel were just Amaya, not to mention the view. All around 5 stars, I'd stay again.

The staff were beyond helpful, knowledgeable and friendly from housekeeping to reception. My mom had a medical urgency while we were there and had to make use of the on-call physician and she saw her promptly. Thank you very much for a fantastic stay.

The view was extraordinary from the breakfast dining room. And the gala ball on Floor C . . . simply marvelous.

Located on hill with spectacular view. One of the finest hotels I've ever stayed at. Clean, modern, filled with art, wonderful amenities. Breakfast was amazing. Multilevel pool with tons of space, tables, chairs. Restaurant food excellent. Staff is well above the norm for friendliness, courtesy, knowledge. Helped resolve a transport glitch without skipping a beat. We're coming back.

Hotel has everything you could want. Only negative is that it is up the hill. But the view is magnificent.

Loved Sorrento, loved the hotel, The view from the terrace is one of the best anywhere. Food and service in the dining room is mediocre, MUCH better in the bar. But the view is worth it. Guisseppe G is fantastic answered MANY emails and made the trip work out great, many special arrangements.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accomadating. We upgraded to a room that was larger and had a better view. The center of town was about a 10-15 minute walk downhill but of course you can always take a taxi.

I have been to Sorrento twice before and this hotel was the nicest by far. I like Hilton properties in general, but sometimes chains aren't the same outside US. I read other reviews before I booked the trip. Only concern seemed to be about the uphill walk back to the hotel from town. Writer had suggested taking a cab. Took a cab from train, that was a rip-off. He snaked us around several streets to increase the fare to 18 euro when reality was probably 5 euro ride. I asked at check in about how long a walk it was into town. He said "you are in town". We walked to shops/restaurants in 5 minutes and to the train in 10 minutes, which we took to Pompeii the following day. 30 minute train ride. The walk was enjoyable and the hill would be a problem if you were 70 years old, but for anyone else, it was a good walk. One evening, on the way back, we stopped at the park to see locals playing volleyball. My nephew and I noticed the pool side waiter from the hotel pool that afternoon. Really had the feeling of being in a neighborhood. Easy access to local shops and good local restaurants. Loved the mussels! I wish we had planned more days in Sorrento. Kids (18 yr olds) loved it. Hotel lobby was very nice but the views from the pool and restaurant area were fit for postcards. I took photos from breakfast terrace and emailed my family back home in US. Tough life! I told the kids this was not how I first experienced Europe when I was younger. Morning buffet included omlette station as well as crepe/waffle station. My newphew and I had chocolate crepes for breakfast. Best breakfast buffet I have ever had. Rooms are typical European style. Nothing to write home about. Bathrooms efficient and not too small, as some European bathrooms can be. Only problem we had was safe in the room missing the key, so couldn't use it. Apparently the previous customer had taken the key with them. Hotel offered to keep our items in hotel safe, but we left in our room and didn't have any problems. I would highly recommend this hotel for the quality, views and great location.

Hotel was beautiful and staff very accomodating to American visitors. Rooms were spacious. Very nice breakfast & we had dinner at the restaurant on the veranda overlooking Sorrento-very good food. The location was a good 10 minute taxi ride or 20 minutes by bus (unreliable). Biggest complaint is that both pools (indoor & outdoor) close at 6PM so after a long day of sight-seeing in the sun- we never got to use either of them-very disappointing to the kids.

I had the most amazing view of the Bay of Naples and the best breakfast I had in Italy. The hotel was a little inconvenient from town but for $160 per night, I considered it a great deal. My only complaints are minor: internet access was really expensive and the safe was in the minibar which concerned me a bit.

this hotel is located at the top of a cliff, so you have a fairly large hill to walk up and down to get to the town of Sorrento. However this also means you overlook everything which is gorgeous. The hotel is very impressive in size and decor, the indoor and outdoor pool are amazing. the downside is the room was noisy as in you could hear the cleaners in the morning and the opening and closing of doors.

Ijust wrote yesterday but forgot to mention that despite the listing for air-conditioning -- there really isn't any!!!! I have multiple sclerosis, but am not "crippled." My main complaint is heat! When I entered the room....it was excessively hot! Turns out the heat was on. The set up is one mechanism for heat or air-conditioning. The only thing they could do was to shut the heat...no air-conditioning. There was no window merely the sliding glass doors to the balcony with two levels of drapes to shield the sun, etc. It was difficult to arrange in a way to have any flow of fresh air never mind cooling!!!

this hotel was outstanding. it's huge and beautiful with amazing views of sorrento and the bay of naples. the location is great; it's uphill, but totally worth it for the views. the staff couldn't have been more helpful. the rooms were HUGE and very clean. breakfast was excellent. loved it. would definitely stay here again. my boyfriend thought it was noisy (you could hear occasional door slam or running kid) but i didn't really notice. we didn't use the pool but they have two.. one is indoors.. both lovely.
