Best Western Scenic Hill Resort

We were visiting family nearby, so we chose the BW Scenic Hill Resort primarily based on its location. The staff was cheerful and helpful, and the property is either fairly new or very well maintained. The room was very clean and comfortable, and had a mini-fridge, microwave, safe, hair dryer, and coffee maker. Wifi in the room worked well and was reasonably fast. The included breakfast was simple, but adequate. There's nothing particularly scenic about the views from the rooms and nothing "resort-y" about the property. We had a good stay at a very decent hotel.

Very quiet, nice location for my purpose (business visit to nearby property). Some travelers might prefer to be closer to Beaulah or Benzonia's business district but it was perfect for me. Breakfast selection was a bit more limited than other hotels of this type in my experience. The bathroom lacked a hair dryer.

This was our second time there, and hopefully we will go back.

The grounds are pretty sitting hilltop, over looking the lake in the far distance. However, the location is kinda off a bit from other spots to see and go

The hotel was great. Had a full breakfast. The room was plenty big enough. Took our boat on crystal lake. Very nice lake. Went to sleeping bear dunes. The weather was on the chilly side but it was all fun. That night went to the drive in. That was are first time. Took a drive up to glen lake. Took the boat out. We had a very nice vacation.

Location is fine, continental breakfast was good, very happy that they had a fitness room and pool. I was here on business. The workers are almost never behind the desk you always have to ring a bell to call one of them. When I went to check out there was a note saying went downstairs to do laundry be back at 830am - it was already 8 mins pass that and when I used the phone they had supplied to try and call down to the laundry room it wouldn't work. Ended up just leaving my keycard on the counter and hoped they got the idea I was checking out. Didn't have time to wait around.

I stayed at this hotel while I was on a business trip. The location was great for proximity to my job. I actually stayed at this hotel two weeks in a row. The first week my mattress was miserable. The second week it was much better. One of my hotel room doors did not shut on it's own had to be forced shut every time. Hotel staff is very friendly but not often at the front desk. In fact every time I needed front desk assistance I had to ring a bell. Maybe that's common in a very small town.

pros...The hotel staff were nice. The breakfast was good. The rooms were cozy. The bed was super comfortable. cons...thin walls and loud doors. My husband was woke up by a gentleman in the next room snoring. I was woke up by a door slamming shut at 5am. We had someone knock on our door two different times around 7am another morning. Also could hear neighbors talking when they were in their room. (and they weren't talking loudly.)

Nice place to say. Good location. Close to many nice golf courses in the area. Great staff.

We enjoyed the hotel very much - nice location and amenities. [...]

This hotel, although NOT a resort as its name implies, was clean and convenient. It is located on US 31 between Crystal Lake (Beulah, MI) and Honor, MI. It is a perfect location to choose if a traveler is looking for a stop over point for destinations in northern Michigan. Be careful for hidden charges, especially if there is an in-room safe. Ask to have it removed or your will incur unexpected charges. The staff at this hotel is generally knowledgeable and hospitable. If you are looking for a romantic get away, I would suggest another place. This is an average hotel, and during our stay we were kept awake by children running the halls above us. Ask for a second floor room and you should be just fine.

Clean, Friendly, perfect for me

The Best Western Scenic Hill Resort was perfect for our travels. We were involved with several ski resorts in the area and this location was perfect. The check-in was very quick and accurate. Our room was large and very good. It was very clean and and we did not find anything wrong. The only negative thing was the wireless internet did not work in the rooms only in the dining area and front desk area.

THe staff was very nice and gave us good advice to where to eat. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The price was great. I plan on returning to the area again and stay at the same place and plan on using the pool and hot tub which looks very inviting.
