Platte - 37ft RV Camper in the Woods with Fire pit & Hot Tub Access

The Platte Camper - The Platte Camper - This 37ft 5th wheel camper is located on part of our 20 acres of woods. This RV has water, electricity, Heat/AC, a refrigerator, stove top and cooking stove, toilet, shower and other basic necessities. The camper is locates down our rail about 300 ft from the main house and 100-200ft from other campers on the property. There is a shared outdoor hot tub that is available for use. We do have a fire pit just outside the camper. There is a nice trail through the woods.

PLEASE NOTE - This is an older camper in the woods. We try to keep it clean and cozy, but don't expect a plush hotel at a camper price. Most people who understand this leave us great feedback, but those who expect a great hotel room at a camper price are sometimes disappointed. There are many other lodging options in the area that are much nicer, but you also have to pay two to three times more - especially in the prime summer months.
For entertainment, guests can expect to find Smart TVs. Other amenities include kitchens, sofa beds, and refrigerators.

Property was pretty much as described in listing. There is another rental camper within 25 yards but did not present an issue. Technically you could sleep 6 but anything more than 2 adults and 2 small children would be an issue with room in the camper. I was very disappointed when the 1st message I received from owner stated there was a fire pit but firewood was 5.00 for 5-6 pieces. I have never had to pay for firewood at any rental we've stayed. 250 should get you a few sticks of wood. Overall, good stay.

The camper was located in a wooded area. Nice wide trail to walk in the woods. The camper was older but clean. All items you would need to use camping were there for you to use. It also had a nice fire ring. I will return in the future. Thank you

Pleasantly suprised by this amazing location with awesome hosts. Long trails to walk, let the kids bring their bikes. The play area was great for us, we really appreciated that extra bit of entertainment that we werent expecting. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay!

My family of 4 with young kids really enjoyed the camper. The host was very prompt with addressing concerns. We enjoyed using the firepit and the hot tub. It was 30 min drive from Sleeping Bear. All in all, great experience and affordable!

Secluded Hideaway

The property is a nice secluded little hideaway, but close enough to tons of activities and great places to eat. Our host was friendly and accommodating. The Platte Camper is a little aged, but in good shape and made for comfortable camping. We took advantage of the fire pit each night we stayed and the hot tub after a day of hiking at Sleeping Bear Dunes.

Location

Property was just as described. It is a fully functional older camper, perfectly suitable for 2 adults and up to 2 teens or 3 smaller children (IMHO). I enjoyed the hottub only once before my trip was cut short. It is next to the deck on back of house. We did find the bed somewhat hard, but added another comforter to sleep on and that helped a lot. Scott is readily available for assistance.

Perfect for What was Needed

This property was just as described. Nothing special in terms of outstanding amenities, but it did exactly what we needed! A warm comfy place to sleep, & cook a hot crock pot meal. Most of our time was spent outside the camper doing activities around the area, so if you just need a place to sleep, eat and jet, this is a great idea for the price! Also the WIFI worked great, we brought a small TV to watch the football games in the evening! Lastly, the communication with the owner was great. If you know what you are getting into (read descriptions and pictures) with this property, then it will be an excellent stay!

Beautiful restful spot....

The camper was perfect for us (2 adults, one small child). It's in the middle of a beautiful wooded lot. The other campers are positioned perfectly, which gives plenty of privacy. The water was hot. We used the stove top and it worked well and was easy. The bathroom is small, so if you are a bigger person perhaps it may be tight, although we had no problems and it was perfect for us. We were able to take a nice stroll on the property also. The location is amazing and close to Gwen Frostic museum, The cherry hut, Frankfort, Sleeping Bear, and Empire. We had a blast. Thank you.

Great woodsy camper for a fall weekend!

We enjoyed our stay in the Platte camper! It was clean, well stocked with everything listed and in good repair for an older camper. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen accommodated cooking a big breakfast in the morning. For us, it was “glamping”with way more privacy and trees than you’d find at a campground. The location is ideal for experiencing everything the Leelanau peninsula has to offer. Our outdoor plans encountered some rain and we had some great evenings cozied up playing cards and games inside. We will definitely book here again!
