Campanile Toulouse Ouest - Purpan3.0 out of 5.0

The room was spacious and was equipped with a wet room suitable for disabled occupant. No hoist so suitable for disabled person with carer. Not disabled myself so not in a position to comment further. Had problems locating hotel using Garmin sat nav. sent me in a loop so I passed the hospital several times and missed the entrance to the hotel. I got frustrated and stopped at Carrafore to buy a guide to Toulouse which cost me 5.50 euros. As I left Carrafore I noticed the neon sign on top of the Hotel Campanile so I did not need the guide to Toulouse. The hotel is immediately to the right after the roundabout opposite Carrafore. It needs signage to direct you too the hotel because you can not see the neon sign on top of the building from the road. When I arrived the greeting was friendly in spite of my complaints and the receptionist spoke English. The buffet dinner seemed good value for money at 13.90 euros but I had already eaten so I did not try it. Breakfast seems reasonable at 10.90 euro. My review has to be positive in spite of problems in finding the hotel. Perhaps some of the problem lay with the Garmin sat nav.
This Campanile is unlike others we have stayed in. It is more like a hotel as the rooms, reception & restaurant are all in the same building. The rooms are smaller than normal but very clean. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the Restaurant is one of the better ones we have tried in a Campanile. Would definitely stay again.
Excellent hotel, friendly stuff, although close to the airport, one only notices planes when outside. We came with a group and everything run smoothly, all satisfied... Extra comfort for a three star hotel.
Pleasant and helpful staff; clean room. Good location, despite being near airport noise was not a problem as the rooms are well sound-proofed. Wide choice of food in restaurant buffet and for breakfast. Free parking and tram to city centre within walking distance.
I needed a place to sleep close to the airport which didn't cost a lot and which had free parking. This hotel seemed to fit the bill. It was clean and cheerful. The staff were friendly and spoke English happily (and I heard another speaking German). TV is almost all French, but there's BBC World USA news and CNBC. Great shower and bed was pretty comfortable. Fast free wifi. Only complaint is that the room was too hot. I wanted to cool the room down but the AC refused to come on -- only heating. I opened the window to cool the room down. There is a motorway right outside so it wasn't quiet, but the sounds of cars whoosh-whoosh doesn't bother me, so I slept just fine. Nearby is a McD's and a Carrefour with a shopping centre, and it's only a 6-7 minute drive to the airport.
Multi-lingual front desk staff were great, and French-speaking restaurant staff were very patient and friendly. Bed was fine. Cramped but clean and practical room. Near a noisy roadway but managed to sleep. Don't stay here if you want to explore the main part of Toulouse (unless you have wheels)... it's pretty far off the beaten path and not even convenient to the airport and tram system. Food in restaurant was very good and the breakfast buffet was one of the best for three weeks in France.
When you are looking at a budget hotel, you can sometimes be hit and miss. But this stay was just what we were after during our travels in the region. Each Campanile is pretty much the same in terms of room size and quality. We always know what we are going to get. Service is good and price is reasonable, so what more can you want? Check it out and enjoy the stay.
It's a nice place close to the airport, and the food is good. There is a buffet, and different menus, and you will find people from the area having lunch there. Very quiet atmosphere. Location is good if you want to go to Airbus.
Even though construction was being done, the staff went with extra effort to make my stay a pleasure. Nice newly decorated rooms with newly designed modern bathrooms. Good bed, excellent convenient lighting and plenty of electrical outlets for recharging phones etc..Great new HD TV Rooms were small but very practical and well appointed. Carrefour shopping center located right across the street. The parking was free...free wifi was very slow but thats what free gives you. Restaurant was nice for a chain hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMEDED!
This is my 4th time staying at this hotel. They have done a rather dramatic update to the rooms. There is a bit more storage space. A bit obnoxious color scheme but... The bathroom is a dramatic change with the rainfall shower head and the open shower design. Overall I'm impressed with the way the hotel upgraded in the past year. The one problem was my TV wouldn't work. I didn't complain about it though... As always the staff is quite helpful. The breakfast buffet is adequate.
