The reservation and arrival to the Hotel was uneventful. The night receiving clerk looked like he was tired and not concentrated but answered well all my questions. Next morning tried to have breakfast on the hotel but the orange juice was watered down and coffee was no good, so we just delivered the breakfast tickets and went outside to have a decent breakfast somewhere else. Except for the breakfast the hotel is better that other options on the same boulevard.
The hotel is clean, well maintained (considering it was built in the early 90s) and the staff is nice and corteous. The breakfast buffet is included and its not just a continental one, it also includes chilaquiles, eggs, asado (a Torreon dish). The best part is the location: walking distance to some dining spots, shopping mall and convenience stores. Distances in Torreon are relatively short but this hotel is a prime spot right at the heart of Independencia Blvd and in one of the safest parts of the city.
Super-fast check in & out, the personal nice & professional. Very clean room and bathroom, the staff prompt and excellent service. Free Wi-Fi with very decent speed. Free breakfast, savory, good options... cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, milk, refried beans, chilaquiles & Mexican guisado, sweet bread, etc. Many choices of restaurants near the hotel. Ample and free parking.
Not the best of places in Torreon, very old and run down hotel with a very disinterested staff. Restaurant is not much better. Only good thing was the location and the very reliable wifi. Don't get a room facing the street, you wont be able to sleep.
They have some comfortable rooms. The breakfast is nothing special, noisy and controlled, which is a little bit annoying as you need to present tickets everyday. The service was average but tending to poor. I almost could not find cups to have coffee and when I did ,they were not clean. If you get a room facing the restaurant, you will be probably awaken by the noisy of the breakfast TV as it echos around.
great place to relax with a great staff at the front desk. This hotel like many gives you the opportunity to have a smoking room to enjoy your stay. Always stay during the week for a pleasant and quiet time, because during the weekend it is normally packed with people
This is a solid 3 star hotel, and there is nothing wrong with that. As hotels go in Torreon, it is in the top tier. What we like about it is the secure parking under the building and its location across the street from shopping as well as a tasty breakfast. There are restaurant options within walking distance if you need that as well. We have stayed here several times while driving through Mexico. Most of the time we have been there we have been given rooms with excellent bedding. Even though breakfast is a buffet, we always leave a little money for the people who work there clearing the tables and bringing coffee. TIP: When you arrive at the hotel drive directly into the lower level parking area and take the elevator up from there to the lobby for check in. Another TIP: As for a room that faces the interior courtyard and on a high floor. Rooms that face the rear of the hotel may be subject to barking dogs from the residential area out back.
The hotel is very good, very well maintained, People at the front desk are very friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was very quiet although I had a view to the main avenue, so it was possible to sleep well. Breakfast was ok
This hotel is very good. I'm there now in summery for 4 1/2 month and they are for me like a family. Everybody is really friendly and they always helps where they can. Perfect place to stay. I think there us nothing more to say. Try it by your self.
My husband and I really enjoyed this hotel. The room was spacious with a great balcony. The staff were excellent. Our server in the evening at the in house restaurant was professional and friendly. Our food was prepared quickly and was excellent. My evening cappuccino arrived quickly and was perfect. My morning cappuccino was just as perfect and was a great way to start my day. The gentlemen in the parking garage were simply stellar. Highly recommend this hotel.
