I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Torreon for a busininess trip, and the hotel check in was really fast and efficient, the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast buffet was nice. Overall it was a nice experience.
Overall this hotel is a good option. The breakfast is very good with plenty local options, fruit and an omelette bar with fresh tortillas. Rooms are ok, but could use a bit of a refresh. Staff was friendly and check in and out was efficient.
We stayed for business for 5 days. Fairly clean and quiet, no real outdoor space (tables) to enjoy a drink or even meal outside. Located in a funky area of town - not suggested to walk anywhere unless you are a local. A bit expensive for what it is, but definitely good service.
We arrived to dog hair on the floor. The bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned. We had 2 rooms reserved & the second room the bathtub was black. Around midnight there was a child that was running up & down the hall for at least a hour. I never reported it because I thought they would stop sooner than they did.
The location is quite good, there are two supermarkets. The room was confortable but really dirty from dust and I found some empty packages under bed. The lockers in the gym were really dirty. THe swimming pool is good, the gym is an average. The restaurant provides great food. The breakfast was ok. The personell was very helpful and pleasant.
I stayed 3 nights for business and was lucky to get a room upgrade to suite Enjoyed the breakfast buffet on the same floor very handy if you have to leave early The pool and spa were also a bonus after a day out on site. There isn't much in the local area but taxis aren't expensive if you want to venture out.
Is the best hotel in Torreon. The accommodations are quit ok for a 4 star hotel and the hotel personal are very nice and friendly. On the dinner you can have perfect steaks and shrimps. They have a very good swimming pool on the inside.
While traveling for business in Torreon, I stayed at the Crowne Plaza given the decent reviews it had. In the end the experience was not the best, especially if your trip involves spending a lot of time in the hotel. Location: The hotel is nearby the airport, and in the center of the city so it is very easy to move around. But the hotel does not have many restaurants or stores around it, so you have to drive around 3-4KM. Rooms: The rooms were great, comfortable beds, very clean and spacious. One issue I encountered is that the internet became very slow at certain times of days which could imply trouble if you are working from the hotel. Service: Every member of the staff I encountered was very friendly and trying to ensure that my experience was good. Food: This is one of the low points. The food offered at the hotel is mediocre, so if you are having to spend a lot of time at the hotel, you will get bored of the food pretty quick. Gym: The fitness facilities are in need of renovation. Even though the gym has the bare essentials to call it a fitness facilities, some of the equipment is in very bad shape. Overall, The Crowne Plaza is a great alternative if you are just planning on using it as a place to sleep; if you are planning to spend more time at the hotel there might be better options.
Very nice and clean and is modern and up to date but it is a little more expensive than the Holiday Inn Express. I did eat at the hotel and it was excellent food but a bit pricey. Had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was always treated like an important guest.
The front desk staff were totally unresponsive to our request for glasses and a coffee maker for our room. They promised delivery but never delivered. The waiters in the restaurant had to be hailed for everything and seemed like they were not happy to serve us. Our stay at this hotel was not a good experience.
