Team sports are forced to find inexpensive accommodations but cheap does not need to mean dirty, unkept and in disrepair. Avoid this location if you have any other choice. From staff that are rude your experience is not going to get any better as you enter your room. Kind of place where you instantly feel itchy and thank god you don't travel with a black light! Hate to be the family that stays elsewhere but we will NEVER be back.
The hotel isn't anything special to be honest. Stayed here as it was cheap and near the airport for my flight the next day. The room was reasonable size but felt the beds are too firm as the next day my back hurt which means the comfort inn wasn't so comfortable. The restaurant felt dated as if I had stepped back to the 90s and the pool had a yellow look to it which put me off. The upside is if you love aircraft it's near the approach so good spotting location.
None of the staff seemed very enthusiastic to be there, and were not very engaging with customers. The rooms were basic, clean, and comfortable. OK for a short stay while on business or waiting for a flight.
My wife and I stayed here on September 20, 2017. The front staff was polite and friendly. Only one of two elevators was working. Our room was large and clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had shortcomings such as a toilet tank that wouldn't always fill with water after a flush and a shower head that sprayed water both onto you and onto the ceiling. The hotel needs a lot of updating and some is being done at the present time. We don't really have any complaints, but the hotel looks dirty and dated. I doubt we would stay there again.
We stayed here as a family because it seemed like a reasonable price, and......meh. If you have reasonable expectations, you will be fine. We were just overnighting and looking for a comfortable sleep before an international flight the next day, and that is what we got. The shuttle was a bit slow, at both ends, but hey....we appreciate it being complimentary and available! The hotel is under renovation, so everything seems a bit chaotic. While front desk service wasn't bad, it wasn't super friendly either. (Could have been the weather - it was absolutely frigid and blowing snow....hideous). That said, the hotel is about 15 minutes away from the airport, and the beds were comfortable. With all the reno's, its hard to say that the hotel was clean, but....again, decent prices amongst many much more expensive rates in nearby hotels, so...we were ok with how everything went (but won't rave about it, lol!). The reno's should address the tired look of the hotel, and though we found the service in the restaurant/bar slow and needing some attention overall, I can imagine (and have experienced) much worse stop overs! So....overall, it's getting the upgrades it needs, but....we just found it an average experience. If you're realistic about it being a decent overnight stay between flights at a decent price, you'll be fine.
They told me be down in the lobby 5 min before the shuttle leaves. I was told it left without me even though I was there before I was told I needed to be. Don't worry, the next one is on the way. After 20 min I got into a taxi and left, $17 to the airport.
Arrived to no elevators working! I get these things happen! Still charged full price for room that was less than mediocre! Will never stay there again nor do I suggest anyone else do so either! I was only on third floor, o felt for others that were on the 10th floor and had to lug their own bags upstairs!
I don't know why peoples are staying losing their money in this hotel while its always been over booked, no elevator services, no swimming pool, no hot tub, bed buggs, no entertaiment ( most of the time TV and free WIFI are not working, smelly rooms, used bed cloths and thousands other problem there. beside this, if you have any housekeeping or security issue no one will be help you out at night time.I have been staying this hotel very frequently and always facing these problems and continuously complaining to GM name Savitri( an Indian girl), who her herself has an attitude issue and lack of required skills, so finally, I decided not to stay here anymore. Plz careful before making your reservation for this hotel
I have to say the Comfort Hotel Airport North is literally the WORST hotel I have EVER stayed in in my entire life! When we arrived there was NO elevator service AT ALL and the lowest floor they could put us in was 9! We had to carry our bags up 9 floors of stairs because the bag line for others was 5 people ahead and we needed to go to sleep immediately. The final insult was that the person checking us in told us the shuttle to the airport leaves on the hour and the half hour. It does not. It leaves at 50 and 20 after the hour so of course we go down thinking we'll catch the shuttle and we've just missed it. Based on this experience I will NEVER stay at a Comfort Hotel EVER again!
I used booking.com to book this hotel last minute due to a change of plans. The hotel listed at 125 Canadian. During the booking process the price switched, but I was rushing and did not catch it. I was only aware when I reviewed my emailed bill the next morning at the airport. The price including tax was 180 Canadian. This would not be so bad if the property was nice and the customer service good. The halls were filthy, but the room was clean with the exception of the red splatters on the wall behind the beds. It was late and our flight was early, so I did not complain.The shuttle was prompt, but the check in was slow. I would not advise to stay here.
