Really beautiful place. You feel like you descended in a different world, in the middle of the forest ( Yucatán moist forest). It is more beautiful than I imagined when I booked it. The staff in the reception and restaurant, absolutely sweet.

The hotel and restaurant service was great and we loved the view of the Caracol. Juan, William and other staff were superb as were the rest of staff. Enjoyed the fact that Pavarotti and other Celebrities like J-Lo stayed at this hotel. Some upgrades to shower, hot water, would be nice.

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at! Very helpful front desk staff, loaded with information about the hotel's history. Incredibly extensive grounds, two lovely pools, great dining room. Plus, they arranged a private tour of Chichen Itza for me, which included transportation to the front gate, no-line tickets, and knowledgeable and friendly guide of the grounds. My room was spacious, with a nice balcony, and everything was delightful!

AMAZING! We had an incredible view of the ancient observatory, the food was fabulous, and the tour was top notch. I was super hesitant to make a reservation because I read some reviews about a dispute between owners but I trusted Expedia to at least get me my money back if something went wrong so I took the risk and booked 2 rooms for my son’s equinox birthday and am so glad I did. My only regret is that I didn’t book 5 rooms and invite all his friends (as I had previously wanted to but was worried about the risk) this place is truly a gem and within the Chichén Itzá grounds. The local gate was not open when we arrived but the hotel tour bus get us efficiently through the other gate. Super worth it

The absolute best experience while visiting Chichen Itza. Greeted by a nice guy at the parking lot who confirmed my reservation. Then by a friendly guy at check in who offered to set up a private tour guide. We accepted and was the best decision. We were shown to our room buy again a very nice and helpful bell man. Food was wonderful, the grounds were wonderful. The staff was honest and friendly. I can't say enough good things about our experience.

This incredible property is 100 years old and is steeped in memories of a bygone era of sophistication and elegance. Marble floors, mahogany furniture, sprawling jungle grounds, beautiful dining room, the list goes on and on. The staff treat you like family, and the food in the dining room was simply delicious. I'm still dreaming of the freshly baked pan dulce. Wonderful visit and I can't wait to return.

Loved this place!

Delightful gem in the middle of the jungle- lovely gardens, bungalows and several pools. The hotel rooms were spacious and cleaned everyday. Gorgeous views. The food in the main restaurant was tasty but overpriced. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back again.

We originally only plan to stay one day since the rate per night is a bit higher than we expected. However, we decide to gamble it and book another night last min, only Bungalow choice left, and waiting to see what will happen. After first night full score experience, we were trying to head back to Hotel and check-in as early as possible, however, Uxmal still have so much to see, so we arrive at Hotel around 6:00-7:00 pm. Louis drove their Golf car to pick us up with all the heavy luggages, drove us directly to the Bungalow. I personally love the Bungalow setting, but my wife still love the first night regular hotel room better. Very nice rock chair setting both hotel room and Bungalow. If anyone who love to listen the jungle, doing stargazing during the late night. Hotel shut off majority of the lights after 12:00 am. We took several photos of star populated sky. Once we close the window shatter at night, it is quiet and block the light completely...so I over slept, missing the opportunity to take Sunrise Time-lap on the Chichen Itza observatory. Well, give me another excuse to visit Mayaland one more time. Hotel suffered 2020 shut down, 2021 slow tourists population. I am very thankful all the staffs still keep the spirit and maintaining this beautiful hotel and letting us have a chance to experience it during the pandemic era. Love Mayaland and Thank you so much to keep hotel operating. We will be back for sure!

5 stars, World Class setting. Very classical environment, it is a place for life time memory. The hotel itself is worthy equivalent of time for Chichen Itza. Pandemic hit the industry hard, but this is a place worth every penny.

Okay…

Mixed feelings about this one. As the site is absolutely charming, and the architecture is absolutely gorgeous. Checkin was a bit weird, but pretty fast. Restaurant was slow and not by the level of the property. Private access to Chichen Itza is closed due to covid, forcing imus to make a 10mn detour (so everyone is accessing site from one access now creating huge queues, I don’t understand the covid logic here) They offer shuttle for the ruins to pick up at 8:00 from hotel and collect back at 10:30. We were back at collect point at 10:28, the van was already leaving, we waved at the driver, he ignored us… Then after leaving the city to another hotel, we realized I forgot something there. I tried to call them back but none of the numbers on internet helped us reach their receptionist…. Hopefully our second hotel had another number that was listed no where that worked. So to summarize, great facilties but so so service
