Stayed for three nights with our one and four year old girls. Had a great trip. Kids loved the choices at meal times and the ice lollies and soft drinks literally on tap. Meal galore at meal times for carnivores and so many salads for veggies. After reading mixed reviews our view is that this hotel is amazing off peak, which is when we stayed. The hotel was filled with tours who arrived at evening meal time and were gone by the time we went for breakfast which was plentiful. Can't recommend the kids club highly enough and the staff there. Even has a small kids cinema. Our girls loved it. The end of our trip coincided with an Israeli school holiday and the hotel quickly filled, pool became packed and we can understand the negative reviews as I'm sure the hotel would be less fun with the crowds. Again though when off peak this hotel is a delight. Not cheap but great value as all inclusive - good was great, evening shows well produced, all clean, fun water slides, kids were happy so we're we!
A very busy, noisy and crowded hotel. The breakfast and dinner buffet quality is edible and safe. The servers are hit and miss, some are helpful, some do not want to be bothered. The rooms are kept clean but can use an upgrade, or not. There are other Leonardo Hotels within a few yards of each other. This one is for families and group tours. I guess it fits the bill. For the right reason, I can see coming back.
I accompanied my wife, daughter, son-in-law and two small grandchildren for 4 days from 27th Aug -31st Aug 2017 at this hotel on full board. My stay was terrible. The noise and screaming children running up and down, the parents' behaviour was not much better. Total anarchy! The rooms were comfortable and the food average. The pool is small overcrowded and despite the No Smoking signs, many guests smoked and nobody stopped them. This is no place for a holiday unless you like pandemonium and children running around, screaming and total lack of the minimum of discipline.Tiberias is a filthy, neglected hole and hot as hell! There is a huge problem finding a place to park if you travel there by car. This hotel has no parking for guest's cars. The management has an ageement with the Tiberias Municipality for parking at half price as a guest of the hotel. However, if you decide to tour with your car you have great difficulty to find a parking place on your return. Holidaying amongst masses of raucous Israeli families with their badly behaved kids was torture! Certainly not a recommended place for a holiday.
I have just returned from our family vacation - Me, my wife and two small daughters. Let's start from the beginning - There are no free parking places near the hotel. Luckily I managed to park about 200 meters away, however I had to pay 8$ per day. From the moment I stepped in and saw the main hall which was extremely crowded and noisy, I was sorry I got there. After booking in, I was surprised to see about 30 people waiting for one (out of four) elevator to arrive. This scene was repeating itself almost every time we got near the elevators. In addition our friends had to wait 10 minutes with their baby daughter in order to get down from floor 3 to the dinning room! I had to carry my 3 year old daughter at the staircase (to floor 3) so we can manage to get into our room before she pooped herself. The food level was OK in the evenings, however breakfasts and lunches were terrible. For example, I had to wait 10 minutes in order to get a burned omelette. Another standpoint with scrambled eggs (Real eggs, not powder like on Saturdays) could assist to reduce the crowdedness. The pancakes tasted like dirty water, and when I tried to put some honey on them I had to go two feet back of the honey bowl in order to separate the honey from it. About the pool..The pool is so tiny that it can barely contain half of the guests. From 10AM till 17PM you can barely find yourself there. Poor lifeguards, I feel bad for them - so much work in such a small space. At night (9PM-10PM), the shows in the main stage were so noisy (especially the bass notes) that my daughters woke up crying every 10 minutes. I can still feel the bass notes in my pillow.. By the way, at the hotel's entrance I saw a sticker which said: "Tripadvisor Winner". Is this a joke? If you are still seeking for comfort - The lovely kids shows, Most of the waiters in the dinning room were courteous and the cappuccino in the main bar was tasty. The bottom line - Not recommended at all.
Avoid this place unless you like big crowds terrible services and the worst food in israel. A real dump. Also the city of teberias is dirty and filthy with garbage all over the streets. You would be wise to avoid this city and hotel
The kids loved the pool, slides and video games. The hotel lobby and elevators are unbelievably crowded. People almost pushing at the elevators gives the place a bad vibe. When people come off the elevators, people who have been waiting do not get out of the way, then thrust themselves forward into the cars. It's awful. The facilities at the hotel are modern and nice. The room was clean and the bathrooms, with modern fixtures and beautiful tile, were in excellent shape. Overall a god place, but the 'all inclusive' part led to problems.
It is all included, the food is good, the drinks too. The only thing is that I was expecting better service, everywhere you go it seems to be understaffed. On the restaurant they do not take out your plate, on the bar is always full. When you ask for room service it will take a while. Very hard to find someone that speaks English. They almost don’t understand anything. If you have small kids they will have a good time, but don’t go expecting a Greek or Caribbean all included resort. But is the best you will get in Israel.
I was really impressed by the kid friendly staff. The life guards were very attentive and they had staff to help facilitate the water slides to ensure everyones safety. The pool area was amazingly clean and well maintained. The buffet style food was terrific with a large variety to choose with lots of fresh salads, breads, rice, meat, etc... even the lemon slices were as large as my hand! My kids definitely did not want to leave... only drawbacks from our stay was some difficulty trying to get into the hotel with crowded enterance driveway and limited parking. And the loud music from the nearby promenade, made for a late night and a little trouble sleeping. Otherwise, a good vacation destination.... very clean facilities and friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay in the Leonardo Tiberias Club and would recommend to others.
This hotel has a closed location to the Galilea Sea, where Jesuscrist made a few miracles, is closed to Betsaida ruins and the Magdala city. In Magdala city found the first sinagoga of the old Israel country.
We came back mainly for the personal attention of front desk manager Mr jonathan abucarat.our children love this place. Great value for the money and respect and professionalism we received from him and the rest of the staff is main reason we are coming back and highly recommend to everyone.
