We stayed here for 3 of the 10 nights on our trip this summer and it was awesome. Ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and it was great as well. The rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable. The location overlooks the Sea of Galilee and the sunsets are amazing. We would definitely stay here again.
Hotel is near shops, restaurant serves good food and has a wide variety of choices, basic accomodations, comfortable beds, friendly atmosphere, a great place for groups, nice sea of Galilee views. Family friendly.
Good location, close to the main strip which doesn't mean much , Just in case you need something to eat . So just you know , Tiberias is mainly a very strict , religious Jewish town , so the food is cosher , so from Friday night till Saturday night everything is closed. The hotel is very tired ,outdated , dirty small rooms. Don't except much as well for The breakfast, yoghurt, cheese, some old sticky pastry, eggs and toast. But if you keep this in mind and lower your exceptions, " I mean extremely lower it " and keep going on with your trip and sight seeing , you might get by and get through your trip. Have fun Guys , or may be not .
It is not the fanciest or newest of hotels but it is the one hotel our family enjoys and return to at least yearly. We have stayed here about 5 times and will definitely return again. The service is prompt and friendly. Giving the feeling that it is a family run hotel. The food is tasty , extremely varied and plentiful. The pool is clean, the kids loved the daily poolside entertainment. The hotel is fully accessible for disabled. We even received a reserved table that was accessible for me for our party of six for all meals. Although the premises are not the newest and there are some issues relating to that I still give the hotel 5 stars for the service and for the good times we have during our stay.
Both the hotel and room we stayed in were very clean. The breakfast buffet was large and the hotel offered a nice variety of salads, cheeses, cereals, coffee bar, etc. The Leonardo has a decent size pool. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner kept the room cool - a must in Israel during the hot month of August. Parking can be difficult to find during peak season however, there are several lots near the hotel. For the most part, I was happy with my stay at the Leonardo Plaza Hotel.
The hotel is very very old and nothing is uptodate. Will start with the good points : most of the staff where very kind & nice always ready to help , but here come the BAD news !!!!! Some one did a pup in the pool , Wich was terrible, they took every one out ( Wich is ncsery affcosre) that happend on Saturday noon 12:30 pm middle of the weekend , and the people including us that came to spend the weekend with children's had nothing else to do!!! They close the pool for the rest of the day , when the hotel Manger mister eliau came trying to see what is the problem he was very very rude , not trying to find a solution , he used his hand!!!! Yes his hand to bit me because I was filming the situation, because of that he also said that some of the people their are whlcome to have lunch over their, but infornt of all the ather guess he said that am the only one that can't go their and he will call the police !!!! All of that because i was filming is VIOLENT AND AGGRESSIVE Behavior, never seen something like that in my life!!! From the hotel manger!!!!!!! We all felt stupid and had nothing to do since the pool was close!!!! (Lunch that he offerd is ridiculous) people pay over 450$$ a night not to stay in their old room!!!! Here come th e worth part I placed a complaint against the hotel manger from FATAL GROUP (Wich is one of the largest group in israel) they said they will call me back ( because I wanted to hear about the acction that they use against their violent manager!!!! ) they call me a day later saying that , they have nothing to do , all they said was a small sorry about my fealing but still defending the manger I find that unprofessional and I feel very very bad when people protect VAIOLENCE ! !!!!! Especially when we are talking about one of the biggest hotel groups in Israel FATAL!!!!!!! I will never go back their and affcosre to none of their property after their NONE ACT FOR THE VAIOLENCE! !!! On the picture above the manger and the pool empty at NOON TIME! !!!!
Good hotel infrastructure but the people aren't too friendly. The showers are too small and the beds aren't that good but the prices justify it. The food is excellent. The pool is good. The people that work there aren't friendly, specially the spa ones
We stayed at the Leonardo Plaza Hotel in Tiberias on 7 day tour of Israel. We spent 2 nights at this hotel. Our room was very pleasant and overlooked the Sea of Galilee. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent. Madonna, one of the bar tenders, was especially helpful in providing local history information as well as providing us excellent service. One of the best amenities was that the hotel allowed free international calling during our stay. We were able to talk to our daughters daily. The buffet at the hotel had many different dishes and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel if we return to Tiberias.
The rooms are quite old and considerably small, but still clean. My room had a view of the Lake of Tiberias from its balcony, so I could catch the sunrise over the lake in the morning. The breakfast and dinner buffet spread had various selections and they were very good. There were also a lot of shops and night market nearby and even behind the hotel. Since the Lake of Tiberias was behind the hotel, after dinner we could even take an evening walk along the lakeside. My first day there, my church pilgrimage group walked to the Lake to catch our boatride. The view was amazinggg
I find it hard to believe that not one review mentions the proximity to the boardwalk and the fact that up until 11pm there is activity in the boardwalk which is so loud that if you are a tourist who is up early and travels all day to sites, and then comes back, eats dinner and gets some sleep, you are out of luck, We are a party of ten. Staying on both side of the hotel. We checked in yesterday around 4:30pm yesterday. Tried to get some rest before dinner, Electronic dance music from the boardwalk stopped that. Hotel advised that nothing they could do. Not even sorry, Tonight, returning home from dinner and looking to get some sleep, there is a concert on the Boardwalk located outside our windows. It is damn loud. Front desk said at 11 if it does not stop they can call the police, but that's it, they have no control over th boardwalk, My wife and I are avid concert goers, Rock concerts. Plenty of them. Nothing again music. Right now it is only 10pm and we are frikking tired. All day touring the country and an early start tomorrow, And an hour more of this blaring music before we can even begin to rest, Desk said this is normal, I told her our hotel in Tel Aviv did not have a concert outside my window until 11pm. Not to mention our two children, my parents, and sisters, En i got to hear that we are located in the center of tuberías. Seriously, Other then that the hotel was fine. Views were Awesome. Breakfast came with our room, was ok. Dan panorama in Tel Aviv was a million times better, we arrive at dan panorama in Jerusalem tomorrow, I assume that will be similar. Wifi was slow, Choppy. On multiple devices in multiple rooms. We had four rooms in out party. We travel as a group yearly, Never ever have I seen this from a hotel listed with this stature. If you're up late and do not care about Lise until 11pm, you're fine. If you are an early to bed early to rise tourist. Stay away.
