This is a place full of opposites ... cruel loud rooms ... not particularly good location ... but ... a particularly delicious breakfast ... and a country-typical delicious evening buffet ... thanks to the manager on duty for the room change ... thanks to the great service staff ... next time Tiberias it will still be another hotel ... sorry .
Last weekend I and my family decided to visit some of the touristic sites in Galilee and we needed a hotel to spend the night. We found Prima Galil on an offer on the internet and it seemed to be a good place .We were not desapionted , the service was great , the staff very nice and helpfull and the food was tasty and fresh. We will be back and we recommend it .
We stayed here for two nights and would be happy to return. Rooms seem to be a bit hit and miss although ours was fine. We had a pleasant surprise when we opened our hotel room as we had a lounge as well as a bedroom. Some people didn't have a lounge but had a balcony. Other people only had a bedroom. Some of our group said their bedroom carpet was stained and dirty - ours wasn't. We opened our bedoorm window on the first night but there was quite a lot of traffic noise even though we were on the 4th floor. However, there was air con in the room so on the second night, we shut the window put on the air con and all was quiet. We had a double bed, tv and free wi fi. The hotel offers a dry cleaning/laundy service and for a charge a baby sitting service. We had both a bath and shower and complimentary soap, shampoo and shower jel. The bath towers were quite small. Breakfast was fine, egg, meats, cheese, freh and dried fruits, youghurts, cereal etc and selection of bread and rolls. The evening meals were buffet style with a selection of hot meats, fish and potatoes, salads and veg plus a selection of pudding. All very nice. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant.
Location was convenient but not by anything with visiting except food options and even that was just ok. Hotel includes breakfast and dinner with your stay and the food was great. Hotel rooms were filthy however. Cute outdoor space for a drink or eating out on their courtyard patio. Pool was closed despite the warm temperatures.
To be honest, really disappointed on our arrival and wondered how we would cope with two nights stay. Bedroom very small, two twin beds, not very well equipped and carpets filthy, they really need a good clean as does some of the furniture and paintwork. Lobby area ok, not inspiring, terrace area overlooking city and Sea of Galilee pleasant. Really need a taxi to find a restaurant, therefore ate in the hotel which we were apprehensive about beforehand. However, the buffet dinner was excellent, great choice of food. The breakfast out of the four hotels we stayed in within Israel was the best by far - excellent. The bar area upstairs does need to be properly staffed, we are still waiting for our coffee for our second night, that was six nights ago!! In summary, initial views very negative, but actually the hotel grows on you, functional and great location to use as a base to visit the biblical sites around the sea of Galilee. Grows on you as per the review title.
This hotel was nice, but was expecting a lot more. We had a windows in each of our rooms, overlooking the Sea of Galilee, but they were very small and it was difficult to admire a potentially gorgeous view. The rooms were comfortable, however - as with a lot of hotels in the area - a bed advertised as a queen, is actually two twins pushed together. There was a funny smell coming from the in-room refrigerator and the decor - while I think I may understand what they were going for - appeared random and a little out of place. The hotel did have the largest shower area out of the three hotels we stayed at during our stay in Israel. Also, the AC is great - which is very important as Tiberias is incredibly hot and humid. The breakfast was "so-so". Lots of selection, just not very good quality, or at least not displayed very appetizingly. The hotel is Kosher and keeps shabbot, so if you stay over the weekend (like we did) the toaster oven and other electronics will not be running in the breakfast area. However, it's accommodations make this a good fit if you do keep Kosher and observe the Sabbath. Please note that on-site parking in free, but limited. Also, while the staff are multi-lingual, most of the residents do not speak English.
I have celebrated my birthday for the past three years and now this year at the Prima Galil and it is hands down the best hotel in which to stay during your time in Tiberius. The hotel staff and management are wonderful and professional, the restaurant breakfast superb - delicious and a real culinary experience -and the dining staff terrific. The rooms are well annointed and exceptionally clean and the price modest - you owe yourself the experience of first class service in every way - you will not be disappointed
The room was spacious, breakfast was very good, staff very friendly but the hotel seems dirty and smelly carpet all around. I don't understand why the dirty carpet in the hallways and rooms It needs some LTC The photo of the pool is not realistic to what we saw
The hotel could have a much better maintenance. So so lobby but everything else terrible maintenance, carpet in a terrible condition. Restaurant in the floor like a basement Kind of dirty. Small rooms terrible bathroom not clean at all.
A good standar hotel where you get what you expect. We had a nice view over the lake. Good size of the room. It was a bit weared down and the AC sounded loud. But everything was clean. The service was friendly and the breakfast really a bit extra!
