My stay was HORRIBLE from start to finish. Due to a complete breakdown in communication between the booking agent and the hotel where the hotel was partially responsible, when we arrived at the hotel, we were told we had no reservation (despite having a confirmation). After about an hour of them trying to get to the bottom of the mishap, we ask to speak with a manager. The vile front desk manager Valerie shows up and is unempathetic, unfriendly and unhelpful. She basically tells my husband that they are not responsible for the mishap and briskly walks away. She spent about 10 seconds with us - she did not care and would not take any responsibility. Eventually we get a room - a guy at the front desk named Tanguy worked to get it sorted out. Well, we enter the room and it’s way below what one would consider Hilton standards - dirty walls, dirty fridge, dirty carpet, dirty toilet and grimy shower head covered in guck. There was also some sort of garbage underneath our mattress (SEE MY PHOTOS). The Wi-Fi barely worked, power outlets in the room did not work and the daily cleanings were not good. A broken elevator kept opening and closing making noise in our room for so long that we had to report it. Even the computers and printers in the lobby were unreliable - they were so out-of-date you could barely access Gmail…and don’t even think about printing…you’ve got a print queue of about 1,000 unsuccessful pages that didn’t print before yours. This place is clearly not well taken care of and understaffed. And certainly not worth what we paid. I will NEVER go back. The best part of the hotel was when we left. The front desk manager Valerie could really benefit from a refresher course in customer service or should be fired.
We loved our Evian hideaway. Great location for day trip exploring. We did Geneva, Montreaux, Lausanne and Les Gorges du Pont du Diable. You can walk to nearby restaurants, bars or the Casino if you're feeling lucky. Great hotel staff, very friendly
Travelled as family of four and spent 2 nights at Hilton. We were upgraded to executive suite and I was sorry we weren't staying longer . The bedroom was large king size bed , living room with pull out sofa and bath . The master bathroom was the nicest we have seen in a long time . Entire wall of glass overlooking Lac Leman. Did I mention the terrace? We could have had a party for 100 on the balcony with picnic table and lounge Chairs. We took advantage of the amenities - beautiful indoor and outdoor pool , steam room and sauna. My only suggestion is they add an outdoor hot tub. There was plenty of space for it and it would be nice on the cooler days . We will return the next time we are in the area.
- Very good food - Big room - Good view - Check-in delays (had to wait for an hour despite the fact that I came after the check-in time) - Noise from other rooms due to dogs barking - Had to change room since AC was not working
Nice facilities at good location with good to very good breakfast. Cleaning of the room was happening really late every day interrupting our schedule. Restaurant food was poor to average the most. Premium internet connection was a joke. Could not even load gmail properly. No hotel parking or special rate vs. public. Net, I would not be willing to go there again unless I would get half the price.
This Hilton, listed as a four-star hotel, boasts an excellent location and great facilities - rooms are spacious, bathrooms modern, and the have a nice executive lounge. We did not use the spa, but it looked enticing. The pool area is well maintained and spacious. On the critical side: the hotel seem tot employ a lot of young staff, some perhaps interns or stagiaires, which is fine as long as there is solid senior supervisory management - and that seems to be where there is a deficiency. In the bar and breakfast areas service at times was erratic and not up to scratch. In the executive lounge junior staff did not have enough authority to correct guests whose behavious was disturbing other guests. In spite of these minor misgivings we had a superweek with our grandchildren, and will definitely come back!
A non descript hotel / good staff but bar and outside area poor. We're greeted by a lovely young English girl, who was very professional.. the room was fine.. not good or bad - average. Air con worked bed was good The rest of hotel was non descript... would not return
I stayed at their spa. It is beautiful and calm. I went for their massage.Instayed several hrs there, relaxing and enjoying my facial. Would certainly recommend it for a nice day. After the spa, I stayed and had lunch by the pool. It was very nice and reasonably priced for its location and name.
I travel a lot for business and stay in Hiltons the majority of the time. This one ranks at the top. Besides the indescribable view, it is situated perfectly for walking to everything--the lake, restaurants, shops, etc. The hotel itself is serene and intimate in a modern sort of way. Each and every staff member is professional and warm. You can tell they really care about you and your experience. It's nice to be able to say that about a property that is part of an international chain. I would (and will) come back here in a heartbeat. Two things: 1. Parking is attached to the hotel but is operated by a separate vendor. Hint: Pull up to the hotel entrance, unload your luggage, and then circle around the building to park. I suggest you ask the bellman or the front desk about it just so you don't get confused. Not a big deal, but just know before you go. As of the typing of this review, parking is 16 Euros per 24 hours. Keep your ticket with you so you can pay at a machine before retrieving your car. You can do this in the hotel lobby near the restrooms. 2. We stayed here twice in one week (went to Liechtenstein, Austria, and Germany in between). Our room each time faced the lake. There is a set of rooms that face in the opposite direction (toward a street of nice apartments). If you want the lake view just be sure to note that. Even if you don't get the lake view go have your morning coffee in the courtyard or the executive lounge and you'll get all the stunning scenery you can handle. You shouldn't just be sitting in your room all day anyway. Big bonus: You can get free Evian water at the source. It's a five-minute walk from the hotel. Take your water bottle and fill it up! The second photo is the "source."
First of all Hilton hotels are not really for my budget but the reason we booked it was a great offer for 3 nights! Evian is not a nice place really and by ''good location'' I mean a good spot to travel around especially in Switzerland without having to pay a lot for acommodation. Of course, the service was great and the room fantastic(very clean, big, king-size bed, balcony, coffee available and mini-bar. We had rent a car and they were bringing it in front of the hotel whenever we asked. We travelled from Geneva to Evian and around lake Leman to Lausanne. We also visited Annecy which is a wonderful place not far away. It was a great spot and at the same time we enjoyed the luxury a hotel like that can offer.
