The Hilton in Evian-les-Bains is a cool, beautiful and great place to stay with an international staff incredibly willing to help you on every imaginable level.In short; it's a great place to stay indeed.
Evian is a quaint town. This is not a quaint hotel. It's a nice hotel. The service is good. The facility is clean. However, it is a bit like a hotel built in the 1970s. The food in the restaurant is really good, though. Just I felt like I wasn't in France.
Chose to stay here as I was attending an event in Evian for the week. Generally well located within Evian and staff were very helpful. They were very happy to give me a complimentary ride to catch the ferry to Lausanne on my day of check-out, given I had my luggage with me. I had access to the Executive Lounge during my stay, and the snacks available were a little limited. As a suggestion, they could perhaps make available some small sandwiches or finger foods. What was available the 2 times I dropped in around 6 pm was rather too simple.
Having seen plenty of Middle Eastern guests in the hotel and the menu abundant of Middle Eastern dishes we thought it would have been a safe bet to try it out. However we have never had such a poor quality of food in any Hilton I’ve ever been (diamond member). Dry fried falafel, taboulé with an overdoses of vinegar, hummus nowhere close to how it is supposed to taste and served with old and hard Arabic bread. A children’s menu with plain spaghetti with plain tomato sauce out of a can. The building although having all facilities and friendly staff it looks tired and is overdue for some maintenance.
Wonderful location about 20 meters from the shore of Lake Geneva. A modern international style of hotel. Lovely large rooms. All the staff were very good and pleasant. Two areas that frustrated were a. the house keeping most days did not happen until late afternoon and so hit and miss when returning to the hotel on a hot day if your room would have been serviced. b. although there appears to be a variety of food available it does not correspond with the international style of the hotel and some nights we were left considering going into Evian to eat. Although we eat on site each of our five nights.
The hilton hotel Evian was very good location with good view to the lake the room very good the staffs good and smile cooperatives, its only walk from hotel to the centre and restaurants. I am got membership with hilton hotel which allow me to get upgrade. You need to check you payment in hotel when you do checkout some time mistake happen in the total payment.
Bad experience what to say..they need to work hard I'm very sad nice Hotel bad service.. AC Not working in the Hotel was to hot most of staff do speak English and the bar closed at 10.30 the Hotel is very boring . .there no service on the pool . No one gives information about anything that was my experience sorry😰😰
Let’s start with the good. Reception desk has been friendly, car parking service worked really well, and one day the hotel manager (I think) approached us in the lobby asking us about our trip and showing great interest in us. He also provided us with nice tips. Breakfast has been good, and with good service. We checked in at this 4-star hotel and at first we noticed that the hotel is in need of a renovation. Rooms and amenities have mostly an old feeling, with lights twinkling outside our room, water flowing slowly through the bathroom sink, and lots of broken tiles at the outdoor pool area to name a few examples. We don’t really mind, but were surprised since our other Hilton visits have been with higher standard (Prague, Stockholm). We had asked for an extra bed in our room, and although it hadn’t been taken care of at check-in, it was fixed immediately upon our request. When we walked down to the gym area first day, we were shown around by a very helpful and service minded spa manager that showed me, my fiancé and our 5-y-o daughter around the gym and spa, telling us that we had access to the spa, sauna, and hamman. There was no problem with our daughter watching us in the gym since she was very well mannered. Day 3 of our visit, another spa manager tells my fiancé that our daugther is not allowed in the gym. This could have been told in a delicate manner, but was told in a way that made our daughter close to tears (”She cannot be here, she needs to leave”). Very unnecessary. I addressed this with your reception staff and they handled it well, but I don’t like seeing my daughter moved to tears. Day 4 of our visit, we are now being told by a different spa manager that for our room the spa and sauna is not included for our specific room. This was told to my fiancé in a way which made her lose face and feel cheap for having used the spa the previous days without paying. This is where I started to get annoyed. I again showed up at the reception desk and told your staff that I expect some level of courtesy and discretion staying at a 4-star Hilton hotel. Don’t make my girls feel bad. Money is not my issue. I would have much preferred paying the additional surcharge for all days, and much more, for you not to make my fiancé lose face and feel sad. Day 4, we also had a complete power outtage in the hotel, but I don’t know if that’s your fault. Power came back in a few minutes. The last few days, we had issues with the iron in our room having a UK socket (we had to deposit 25€ for an adapter) and were also told that we could not get an extra towel down at the pool. Minor inconveniences, but not something I expected of a Hilton hotel. I made sure I asked the spa manager if it was ok before I used the bathroom in connection to the gym (worried she would snear at me for not having access). Having been to Hilton hotels before, I never expected to feel like this kind of guest. Honestly, I think you can and will fix most problems we experienced. I think we were unlucky, and I think overall most of the staff had good intentions. It’s unfortunate that a few inconvenient experiences can make a trip feel much less of a vacation, and we spent less time at the pool area and hotel than we had originally planned to. But seeing the hard work some of your staff does every day makes me want to share this so that your next guests can feel more welcome than we did. We are checking out tomorrow, and we will most likely consider another hotel for our next stay in Evian.
We where traveling with the family in our holiday Hilton was one off the hotel we stayed in during our stay and we where planning to stay for two nights we enjoyed staying in the Hilton so we extended our stay it was nice very clean will manged
Inefficient staff that spoke hardly any english and was not interested in fixing problems. Hotel restaurants with extremely poor quality (but pricey) food. Hotel pool could have been cleaner. Location of hotel was convenient
