Attentive front desk

We drove 6 hours. Rooms were not available hour early a noon and then at check in time at 1pm on 1/8/25. We finished our work in University and came back at 8pm. Room 116 was initially given but there was confusion at front desk, housekeeping and Manager. We were kept waiting 20 mins. After expressing disappointment, upstairs room close to elevator was given. Kids were running above our room till midnight. Should keep young kids downstairs. Snow around front of hotel and parking lots was not removed. It was chaos and poor customer service. Hope they improve.

Check in was smooth went into room to do my normal inspection and the bathroom had a overwhelming urine and feces smell. I looked around and saw tissue paper on the stand that had dried feces in it. I went to wash my hands and the smell of urine became stronger someone had to be urinating in the sink. Immediately went downstairs to advise of the situation and they gave a different room. The new room was better it was very drafty by the window but that's what comes with stained glass windows that open vintage style. Breakfast was good, nice variety for sure. Would stay there again but this is a VINTAGE hotel, not historical so please understand it is not going to be modern. It is a themed hotel.
