Hotel Mercure provided a cosy environment for resting and it's location eased access to the city center, central station and Scheveningen. It's a value for money Hotel. B/fast was excellent I particularly enjoyed fresh fruits served.

I come to this hotel for more than one year, and it's a very good option for business travellers, especially if you're working destination is close to tram 9. Apart from that, you're also close to the Central Station and to the city center for dinner. The hotel provides excellent conditions and breakfast.

We stayed as part of a couples break and chose the Mercure for nostalgia reasons as we stayed there 10 years earlier. The hotel is well located, near the centre and easier to access from the central station. The rooms were clean, if a busy basic. The breakfast was excellent, loads of choice and a fresh orange juice machine.

This place was ok for a weekend stay, but not much more than that. It's centrally located in Spui and is close to many sites (Grote Kerk, Mauritshuis and the Escher Museum), but that also means it's very loud. We had a room on the street side of the hotel and found it difficult to sleep at night because of the outside noise. In addition, there is an active construction site next door on the other side of the hotel, so I think it must be just as loud over there. There is also no parking, so we had to park in the car park next door (30 euros per day). The major problem, however, is the lifts. There are 2...for 10 stories and approximately 200 rooms of people. There were a couple of days in the morning (breakfast time) that we waited for 10-15 minutes for the lift, and the few times it arrived it was already filled to the brim. That being said, the location is great and the breakfast is nice. There's also free wifi.

Location is very good as it's walking distance from the DH Centraal train station. Clean, well maintain room. I didn't notice there is coffee & tea until I wrote a review in the hotel's website and the manager responded they are under the fridge. They have Nespresso machine for take away coffee as well. I like it that they provide body lotion as part of the toiletries as the weather is always dry.

I stayed 2 nights for work in October. The room is big enough, has a good desk with lighting to work on and a lovely massive shower. The area is relatively quiet and it has windows which open. On the downside, the room had an odd smell and there is no gym in the hotel. The breakfast buffet is rather average although the fresh orange juice is a definite bonus. The staff was very helpful throughout. Answering questions on how to get to certain places and ordering cabs.

Room - fairly basic but very clean and comfortable. Good bed! Service - couldn't fault it. The Reception staff were very pro-active and helpful with amenities both inside the hotel and local knowledge for transport and other sights. Restaurant - the breakfast was magic. Healthy options, great coffee and friendly service if you needed it. The room service breakfast was fantastic if you needed it too. It had everything you could possibly eat covered.

This was my first stay and will probably not be my last. I asked for a quiet room and I got a quiet room. I was concerned about traffic on Spui and construction works down below, but surprisingly I heard hardly anything, even with the window open. Very nice modern room, comfortable bed, good bathroom, nice shower. Not much shelf space. The desk area is comfortable to work at with good lighting , which is not always the case in hotels. I had dinner at the restaurant one evening and would definitely do so again. It was really very good and service was friendly and efficient. One thing might need working on. The front desk staff is very courteous and agreeable, but even when not engaged, they pay no attention at all to the guests who walk in and head for the elevators close to them. In other hotels, the staff acknowledge the guests. Also, no one asked me whether I had enjoyed my stay when I checked out. I would have gladly said yes if anyone had bothered to ask.

The Hotel is well located, 10 mins walk from the central station and 5 mins away from the main market of the city for shopping. Tram and Bus stops are also very closeby. The hotel is clean and well maintained and so are the rooms and bathrooms. The staff is courteous and helpful. The breakfast spead was really good, would appreciate if they change the menu occasionally as 90% of the stuff served is repeated on daily basis. The bed and pillows are too soft for comfort. The rooms are of standard size, well lit and has good privacy. Amazing Wifi connection.

Returned to the Mercure on a 5 night business trip. Check in online was quick and easy. Reception staff were efficient and welcoming. My double bed room was on the 7th floor overlooking the main street, there was no noise as double gazing was very effective. The room was spotless, had a comfortable bed, a powerful rainshower and tea/coffee making facity which was replenished daily. I had breakfast which had a good selection of hot and cold dishes. The staff were very welcoming. The hotel is very central, has a tram stop nearby which gives good links to the city and train station. Overall a pleasant experience. I will certainly return.
