Perfect for a short break. We stayed in a family room 109. Large room. Parking a git here hotel does offer €25 pn. If you get here later the side streets are free after 12 midnight up till 10am so 10.00-24.00 you pay.
This Mercure hotel I totally recommend! The location is great. You walk out of the hotel and are still in the city centre. Inside the hotel is a very calm and relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast is great and the personal really attentive. If we go again to this great city we definitely will stay in this hotel.
Stayed for two nights, lovely room and staff very helpful with a couple of minor issues we had. Cheap car parking nearby but believe this is ending soon. Excellent location for visiting The Hague all well within walking distance. Goid choice at breakfast.
The hotel itself is good, very central, good service, comfortable rooms, but the BED, oh what a nightmare...super soft sinking in the middle...it gave me terrible back pain...totally ruined my stay in The Hague
I stayed here for seven nights on a business trip . The Hotel is in a very convenient location, less than 10 minutes walk from Den Haag Centraal Station which was only 30 minutes from Schiphol Airport. There are trams, buses or taxis that will take you very close or to the hotel. The location is ideally placed for shopping and sight-seeing with many attractions within easy walking distance or there is are tram and bus stops nearby if required. The general decor of the hotel is very modern. The check in process was swift and the reception staff friendly. The room itself was very pleasant and spotlessly clean and had a nice clean bathroom. A comfortable bed, plenty of storage space including a reasonably decently sized safe. The socket next to the bed is quite convenient for charging the gadgets. Though there was construction work just outside the hotel overnight, it was very quiet, with no noise from inside or outside the hotel. The staff I encountered were very friendly. The breakfast buffet is pricey (24 Euro) for what if offered. Overall a very pleasant hotel if you ignore the breakfast rates !
I stayed here on a business trip. The room was comfortable and the staff are friendly. The standard wifi is good, but as always, a VPN is recommended. I enjoyed the breakfast. A nice assortment of beautiful fresh baked bread, cold cuts, as well as the traditional English Most importantly, the main selling point: it is very centrally located, you can walk to the central train station, the tram is just outside and the main shopping strip is close too. There are lots of interesting food joints scattered nearby.
I stayed for three nights in a suite. The general decor of the hotel is very modern. The room was clean with nice bathroom. The living room area has a large table with chairs. No sofa or easy chairs. The service was excellent everywhere including front desk and the restaurants. My room had a mini refrigerator with complimentary drinks. There is a fruit basket near the elevator with complimentary fruits. The breakfast buffet is ok but pricey (I think 24 Euro) for what if offered. The hotel is in a convenient location within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. It's close to the train station but not walking distance for me with luggage but a 5-minute taxi ride.
It is perfectly situated in the heart of the Hague, and less than 300 m from the Railway station. The staff is friendly and the lobby area modern. The rooms are comfortable but a renovation seems to be necessary. I would recommend this hotel for travelers who want to visit the Hague.
I booked this online dire3ct through Mercure as a member, Emailed prior to visit asking for two rooms close with perhaps a nice view as It was a special occasion. I was visiting with my mother so a twin was booked, my friend was on her own and had booked a double room. Checked in to discover we had a double room, we were moved to floor two with a connecting room which was even better for us. First impressions nice room very modern and nice comfy beds. My friend did notice dust in her room which she found to have been cleaned inadequately. Air con was not working for the duration of our stay, reported to front desk meant to be fixed but for unknown reasons was not. We were offered to be moved but we had unpacked so just had the window open in the mornings which was manageable. Breakfast was nice but the service was really poor, you literally were invisible to staff on most days. We were not even informed of cooked to order items and only found out when asking if they had fried eggs. The chefs were fantastic, always brought out your items and were happy to take orders. Selection was quiet good, more continental then cooked I would say. They never changed the cooked buffet items it become really competitive when you saw chicken sausages every day. The food quality was of a good standard, just wish they had more of a hot variety such as a potato dish etc. We used the bar a few times and staff were great, always professional and friendly and a real credit to their job. The sofas were really nice to sit on and relax with a drink. Now the cleaning where do I start, the maids really are not doing their jobs and I am an ex house keeping manager I know how it works. Our sheets were barley changed throughout the duration, empty coke cans sat for days and the maid only seemed to clean the bathroom. The towels had a horrible wax smell to them, and felt century's old. The final straw which made me really angry was when I found blood stained sheets, now Its more than likely it was caused by me the night before scratching my leg but the following night on returning to the hotel The same sheets, I asked reception how often they change linen and he could not give me a clear answer. They had no housekeeping staff at that time so he came himself but only changed the bottom sheet. Again for me this really lets the hotel down. In my opinion a hotel should be changing bed linen daily, unless the guest has opted out. Overall I encountered some really friendly staff, the hotel is designed really well but had too many flaws. If your here one or two nights you may not see these flaws, however stay 5 nights or longer and you will soon discover the problems.
