Great location, very close to the sea and tram stations. Big and comfortable rooms. However, the breakfast was average and the room did not have tea or coffee maker. In total this hotel would make a good choice for summer vacations.
We have stayed in many Ibis and other Accor hotels over the years, but this was one of the leasr satisfying. This began with the parking. Our application online indicated that there is adequate parking at the hotel, but when we arrived we were told this was full and we had to carry several pieces of luggage from a multistorey carpark several blocks away. The room itself was pleasantly spacious, but very poorly designed, with little storage space and a strange design, which meant the TV could be barely seen from the bed and space for clothes and luggage was cramped into a hallway just in front of the bathroom. This was end of July, so there was little space at breakfast because of the many guests. Still the food was the usual good Ibis standard as was the bed and the friendliness of the staff.
The room was poor and old. The beds looked old and really used. The wooden bathroom door was cheap, worn and squeaked. Besides the tv, air condition and hair dryer there is no special equipment, no refrigerator, no electric water heater. There was also a door to the neighbour room. The neighbour was smoking in the door, so the smoke came also to our room. We were in it with our baby, this was the most disruptive thing. Now the positive things, the employees were friendly and eager, the breakfast which was included tasted good. The parking was not for free, and also not available as there were not enough parking slots. They take 30€ per day for parking. Other parking possibilities in Scheveniningen are really expensive too. I would look for park & ride in Den Haag.
My husband, our three young children and myself just got back from a 3 night stay in the Ibis Scheveningen. We stayed in a family room and as we called ahead, a travel cot was set up and provided for our youngest which was adequate. The room wasn't spotless but just ok. Bathroom tiny. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and helpful, especially the guy I saw. Breakfast was varied with plenty of choice. No complaints there. However our stay was completely ruined by the fact that we checked out at 09:30 to leave for the ferry home and a short time after realised we'd left an expensive bottle of Moet boxed and in the room we had bought to celebrate out wedding anniversary, We called the hotel who checked the room and said nothing was there. Impossible- we called again and said they needed to double check, gave exact location of bottle in the room and they said we can't help you. The champers was absolutely removed from the room by someone who fancied it for themselves. Ok ultimately our fault but incredibly frustrating. On that basis wouldn't stay again.
IBIS standard, quality vs price -> very good balance. Convinient location near seaside. Bus, tram stop opposite to hotel. Quiet surroundings. Breakfast price 17 Euro, so I've choosen local market and prepared breakfast myself
I booked this hotel for my colleague, Abdulhameed Sahybi for a business trip. I visited this hotel to meet my colleague time to time as I was staying in other hotel nearby. However, I find the facility and the service of the hotel was very poor in comparison to the amount he paid (126 Euro per night). The booking included breakfast but they did not offer it and asked extra money. The front desk service was unsatisfactory. My colleague asked for a adopter because his laptop charger was not compatible with local socket. They did not provide the adopter saying that they do not have it because all of them were stolen by the guests. The room was small and you hardly could move in the room. This is a bad hotel and I will never book this hotel and any of its chain hotel. Really disappined!
I usually use Ibis hotels in the Netherlands, and am very happy with them.On this ocassion, the standard of service was quite exceptionally high. My laptop was stolen just outside the hotel, and the staff could not have been more helpful in helping me contact the police and submit my report.
Was able to easily reach the Hague and delf from the hotel which gives you many options depending on what you want to do .the rooms are in always comfortable at every ibis I been to and this way the same
We've enjoyed our stay @ Ibis Scheveningen. The hotel is well located. The room was according what we've expected & requested and was spacious. Parking not very big and quite a premium in term of cost.Breakfast was fine & the choice fairly good.
We have stayed in lots of IBIS hotels but IBIS Scheveningen simply has the worst service ever: - Reception takes a long time (more than 15 minutes) - Breakfast choices are below average - Room was loud, there were people shutting down their room doors as hard as they could and the hotel did not take any precaution for this - Some lamps in the room could not be turned on/defective - Lifts took too long - Room was too small and did not look as advertised in the website We had much better experience staying in IBIS Budget (!) Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. When the price is at least twice of IBIS budget, we expect at least twice better service. Never again!
