Its a oke hotel. It was a great hotel before but need renovations, rooms are old and smelly. Its on a great location with beach view rooms, its a easy hotel to go to for a staycation. I recommend this hotel.

Stayed with mother, wife and child 2 days in summer. This hotel is not only in a great location and has comfortable rooms, bar and restaurant, but the staff is extraordinary hospitable. For us, great service makes a visit to a hotel. We had breakfast in one of the many beach outlets, dinner in the hotel restaurant and stayed at the hotel’s beach club. The hotel is at the famous Scheveningen pier with a lot of hospitality and numerous entertainment options. No chance to get bored in or around the hotel. Highly recommended.

There is a policy of allowing dogs in rooms. I guess for dog owners that works very well but our room smelled like a kennel. Pee stains on the carpet and the smell of urine and wet dog was awful. Things got worse as we were downstairs in the restaurant having breakfast and there were 2 tables filled with owners and their dogs. Unsanitary to day the least. Yes if you're a dog lover then have at it.... I too have owned a few dogs in my lifetime but I certainly wouldn't bring them into a restaurant much less let them pee on the carpet. The hotel should stay on top if this and at a minimum clean the room better.

We were staying there because of our marriage. We booked the rooms and the staff proactively thought with us to make our stay as smooth as it could be. Spacious rooms at the first floor for out family and a very nice seeview room on the second floor. They simply did the extra step for us with very good service. The location is great 10 steps and you are at the beach...

We stayed in a family room which holds 4. The breakfast was great & the staff really kind. The location of the hotel is superb, at the end of the boulevard & seriously just 30 seconds walk from the beach!

It was the worst visit ever at Carlton! I was very disappointed! The room was like a "no star" hotel, old and not so clean, the towels were stained and really old and the sheet had stains and holes in it... We stayed there for 4 nights and 5 days and they didn't change the sheets at all.... Except for the proximity to the beach, this hotel doesn't deserve his stars!!!

We had the basic room which is not bad but if you are paying 199€ per night let's think about it. Our pillows had some kind of animal hair which was the worst thing for us because of my husband allergies. They did have good staff which as soon as I called thefront desk they came to the room and change all the bed linen . Their breakfast is really good they have a chef cooking omelets, fresh waffles and pancakes which I loved. Let's talk about their BAR !!!! So I was in drinking mood and I asked for a Mojito and found out that they don't have any kind of cocktails which was a turn off for us because we wanted to stay in the hotel because we have a little one . This is a great hotel for older couples or people who don't like to party.

Called in here today for a business meeting. The hotel is in a superb location in The Hague, but the hotel does fell a bit dated. The reception and lobby areas are ok, and reception staff are friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very well located, right on the beach. But the hotel is in need of renovations. The furniture in the room is outdatedThe bathroom needs a complete overhaul. The carpets are old and in depressing colours. All in all for the price...We will never go back.

We spent 3 nights in this cute Hotel. But I have to admit that the price vs. quality does not fit. The only real 5 points I can give is for the location. It is lying on the beach with a short walking distance from the beach-clubs. BUT I can imagine the noice of these Clubs when there is a high season?! I am sure it will be annoying! We had a Family room nr 130 on first floor. - view of the parking of their beach club - you could hear CONSTANTLY the electric barrier of this parking!!! It’s time to oil it!! - the tram who pass next to the Hotel make you crazy either - its time to change the old windows into double glazing! - room has an old carpet and needs to be renovated (bath was new - fortunately!!) I suggest to avoid the right side of the building and the 2 first floors!! General point of view: - parking too expensive (25€ daily) when you pay 260€ your night (plus taxes) - breakfast 20€ / person - was ok but few choices, noisy and tables not freshly set for late arrivals - seats in the breakfast room needs to be changed!!! So old and dirty. - carpets everywhere are old - swimming pool - so old !!!! We stayed 20 min just pretending we were there - fitness is OK - Wifi works very well :-) For an almost 900€ stay (3 nights low season) you could go somewhere else or expect more... Sad because the Hotel location is basicly great and they could make more out of it.
