Spacious room with side sea view. Breakfast expensive at 22 euros and I ate in the promenade restaurants most days. However, facilities and location excellent with tram services to Den Haag Central station very frequent.

The hotel is a very good position adjacent to beach and facilities also very handy also close to transport I have stayed here many times over the years whenever I am in Holland I always stay at Carlton Beach Barry Tasmania Australia

Was interesting stay. Hotel is literally on the beach. We had wonderful sea view from our room. Room was ok. They had recorded sea wave and seagull noises in the lift. What we didn't like was the chaos in the restaurant and bar - as a first time guests we couldn't know which place serves what, where we are allowed to sit, so we had to move tables constantly. Beach club simply closed 2h before scheduled closing time. Easier to go elsewhere and there is a lot of choice along the beach.

The hotel is situated adjacent to the beach. There are many bars on the beach and boardwalk.Oscars bar is adjacent to the hotel and Boomers on the beach plays late night rave music beyond 1.30am. When I complained to reception they said the music would play every night not just at the weekends and they couldn't complain until 1am. The air conditioning in the bedroom and earplugs wasn't sufficient to drown out the underlying beat of the music. The hotel strap line said, "hear the sound of the waves and relax" so clearly they need a new line something about loud rave music. This is not what I expected when paying €300 for a room. We checked out a day earlier than planned and the hotel refunded the money plus €100 in compensation. We booked a family room which was well furbished and clean, however this did not compensate for the lack of sleep. We were cycling around Holland so a good night's sleep was essential to ensure alertness when on the bikes. If you are looking for a quiet location then this is not the hotel for you. If you are a party animal then maybe you would have a different response.

We arrived on a hot summer day shortly after a big group had checked out. The desk employee, who was visibly stressed and irritated due to something that happened with group checking out, told me in a short manner that their parking was full. We arrived on two motorcycles so I asked her if she knew another parking where we could safely park our bikes for the night. She did not respond to my question by telling me I could not pay for a spot even if I wanted to but I could drive up to the gate, she would open it and we could try our luck and look for a spot next the bicycle parking. We got there, there was no room left and we had great difficulty parking our bikes. When we arrived back inside the girl had changed her story completely, we suddenly had to pay for both motorcycles without an explanation. The rest of the stay was average, extra costs for breakfast or use of the sauna were too high for our liking.

Great sea view rooms with balcony coffee making facilities , free wifi indoor pool, saunas (2) steam bath, gym fitness centre, located on the beach plenty of activity around this location delicious food and great smugglers bar and grill drinks on the beach club,,,, bliss. Great rooms very clean none of my passengers had a complaint all good everyone happy

We stayed 2 nights during a public holiday beginning of June. Check-in was a little un-personal but fast, the room (after we found it, the signs are unclear) was large and adequate, however the bathroom was very small. Wifi was not optimal. Parking at € 22,00 per night is an insult, and since there was no use for the car during our weekend, we came by train/tram. Breakfast was very good, the breakfast room is too small when the hotel is fully booked. Tables for 2 very close to eachother. We had 1 dinner at the hotel which was very good. But € 3,00 for a coca cola, compared to the minibar rates, is a lot of money. So, our stay had 2 faces, but all in all we enjoyed it. The room, comfort in sleeping, and having a good breakfast were the most important things for us. Sunbeds are available at the hotel's beach club at € 7,50 per bed. There was a group event on Friday June 2nd, which had a big impact on the service at the beach club which was close to non-existant so we chose to have lunch at the neighbouring club. I know that the hotel will look very serious to what is lacking in the service so I trust that our next stay will show improvement. The GM now has a challenge :-)

We opted for the 4 night special and got an upgrade to a deluxe room with boulevard view, great breakfast included and a welcome pack for Euro 10,00 This is our favorite hotel when staying at Scheveningen or in the Hague. Staff always very friendly and helpful, will be back again later this year!

For a business trip it's a very good value ! Spending holidays, I don't know if I would chose this hotel. Rooms are a little bit old fashion. Having said that, the location is awesome and if you have a sea view room, the view is awesome !

I travelled to this hotel with my sister as she had stayed here many times before and enjoyed the experience. She was as disappointed as I was that everyone seemed to be having an off day! The receptionist was abrupt and unfriendly, directions to our room were non existent and we were helped by another guest, not by the staff. The room itself overlooked the entrance to the car park, the décor was dated and refreshments and towels had not been restocked (and took ages to arrive when requested). Breakfast next morning was mediocre and several choices had run out - at 08 00am. My sister will be staying here again next month so I hope that she will be treated more considerately and that all areas of the hotel service will have improved.
