Last minute deals is ion. Never been Tenerife before and picked hotel off Internet because I liked the picture of building. I was not disappointed. Beautifully restored.with lovely room overlooking an outside bar and restaurant pool area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well stocked inclusive breakfast. 5 minutes from sea(be prepared for black sand).5minutes from 1st area square with bars and restaurants and 15mins. From main sea front area. All walkable and beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed my time. Will be back.

Puerto de la Cruz is such a small town, so that where ever you stay, you are close to everything. Hotel San Borondon is located on a quiet street, with only local traffic. The rooms have been renovated: they are modern, fresh and clean, but very basic. Nice pool and garden! The service at the reception is rather mediocre (not because of a language barrier, as I speak Spanish), no wifi (except at the reception, and still you have to pay for it) and the breakfast was really poor (not quantity, but the quality). Would I repeat? No, I would not. There are a lot of other hotels available in the town.

Nice clean hotel in a good location. It is close to the centre, the bus station, and the sea. The standard room was clean and modern with a confortable foam mattress. Average breakfast, swimming pool not heated. Recommented!

This is a very nice hotel. Much more personal than many of the big hotels on Tenerife and its located in a less "touristy"area. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. The only thing that could have been better was the breakfast. I was missing a healthier choice here :)

My wife and I stayed here for 12 days in September 2016. From the first few moments we were disappointed. The room was terrible, unbelievably terrible. The mattress was rock hard, the locks on the balcony doors did not work, the curtains were ripped, no air conditioning!, the bathroom window was broken, the hand towels were filthy with black marks, there was no refrigerator (where the hell was it in this day and age, it had a crappy safe though!!!), a 25 year old television, the construction noise was constant every day and judging by previous comments it has gone on for years. The cleanliness was sufficient, not great though. These are not things that we should complain about when we get there! They should be fixed before we arrive. Does the Hotel even check the rooms before guests arrive? Do they even have maintenance? Who is managing this hotel? The food. WOW. It was a nightmare. It was pretty much the same tasteless breakfast every morning. Dry eggs, inedible bacon, rock hard potato churos, processed ham, bread rolls that could beak a window, cheese, cereal and passable machine coffee. I’m not even going to list the dinner on offer. Occasionally there was some fish that was edible. The deserts were not edible. My wife is a chef, she knows what she is talking about. There are no comments that management can make to excuse the disgusting ‘dishes’ on the buffet, that we were served. The prices at the bar were okay, not cheap but not expensive. The staff were super. They were polite, well presented. The staff spoke mostly Spanish and a little Deutsch and English. That was fine with us as we were visiting Spain. The overall hotel was clean and tidy except from all the construction going on. It was extremely noisy during the day. The facilities, aside from the pool, were very bad. The Gym was never open. The spa was never open. The tennis court looked unused for 5 years. There was no fun to be had. There was no music to liven things up. No laughing. Not a happy place. The location to the Town centre and coast was very good. There are no excuses for many of the problems we found staying at the San Boronden Hotel. We are not people to complain at the time and whinge about something we have paid for. But after the fact, we have every right to let other people know what they are getting for their money. I am Australian and have seen Hotels all over the world. My wife is German and she has also seen many Hotels all over Europe. Our opinion is that we did not receive anywhere near a service what we paid for. It does not matter that you are a small hotel, that your staff are a family, and that you have different rooms /different prices, different this, different that, blah blah blah. We paid good money and we were not happy. Puerto de la Cruz was an amazing town and Tenerife was great to explore. Just look for another Hotel. Good luck in the future.

Everyone here was very friendly and helpful unfortunately breakfast was third class. Hot food only just warm and quality the worst we have experienced. No pool towels which is unusual and the gym closed the whole time, also has double the rooms than advertised. The area is good so would definitely look around here next time

Good central position, halfway between the town centre & Lori Park (15 mins) & only 5 mins from the beach & the bus station. Recently renovated apartment was clean & had everything we needed, we did have a view of the graveyard, which was not a problem & certainly no noise from the occupants!! Pool area was well maintained & pool was good condition & clean. Nice bar with sensible prices. Restaurant well run & food very tasty, although not a lot of choice, we liked what we had & there was good supplies to the buffet. Reception very helpful, Overall a well run, clean & tidy hotel

Spacious suite, with small kitchen, kettle , coffee maker and kitchen utensils. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets brilliant white and clean. The whole hotel is immaculate. The bathroom is lovely - brand new fittings - no fan though, so the humidity in there makes it hot and sweaty, small amounts of mould on the walls, isn't because it's dirty, it's because there is no fan ! Which is a shame. Towels refreshed daily and beds made every day, housekeeping was top class. These girls are cleaning in 30 degrees heat and you gotta give them a 5 star. Can't really think of anything bad to say, except the hotel is QUIET, almost making you feel you have to whisper. Zero staff interaction. The first time a member of staff spoke to me was at check out. Perhaps lacks atmosphere..... However, if you want a very clean hotel, stay here. Puerto de la cruz, is beautiful, full of old Canarian charm, try la clave restaurant for a nice meal and happy cafe for cheap good tasting coffee and delicious sandwiches.

I had always wanted to stay at this hotel, due to its proximity to a relatives apartment. I was pleased to get a good rate at the time I wanted to go. On arrival at reception, I completed the formalities and then was instructed to take the lift down 2 floors (pool level) and I was greeted by another staff member who showed me to my room. I was delighted with a lovely modern room, tastefully decorated . Flat screen TV - nice bathroom with shower. The staff kept the whole place spotlessly clean . The pool area was always neat and tidy and staff were always helpful and pleasant. The only disappointment was the breakfast which was included in the rate. The food was poor quality -- a cooked section with cheap sausages, eggs etc - but I didn't like the look of it. There were always croissants and toast and bananas which was enough for me. The location is perfect - about 10 minutes walking distance from Charco square - lots of lovely eating places nearby. Quiet enough during the night to hear a pin drop I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone

We stayed in one of the new renovated apartments. Not so bug but beautiful done with brand new flooring, beds, bathroom and kitchen. Quiet room towards a small garden and a next door cementery. The hotel also had a brand new pool, 25m, with sunbeds. Theres a small gym and tennis court at the hotel. Its possible to have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel. Nice cozy bar and lunch area. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Especially the hotel director Toño is really great with all clients and good to the staff.
