Do not expect everything to be perfect at the Liber - they do a good job for this level of accommodation. The staff are very helpful and speak good English. Also of top priority - the rooms are cleaned well. We had no problems with the appliances and the Internet speed and connection is great. There could be more glasses, cutlery etc but we got by for two adults and two children. Also, the air conditioner did its job. There is also a solid room safe. Here is some useful advice for new arrivals: * the best bus from Hahagana train station is no. 16, but the 104 and 204 also get close (NIS 6 pp); * the best shop is the 24/7 OK City Mini Market on the corner opposite on the right; there is also an 'am pm' supermarket about a 6 minute walk on the left down Allenby Street; * the kebab shop below on the left is good; Abulafia bakery round the corner also good but pricey; * there is a currency exchange 2 minutes on the right down Allenby Street. Nice old guy runs it; * look out for Cofix shop/cafe on Allenby Street - everything around NIS 5 - 8.
Located on Allenby 6, the hotel is located at the end of Allenby St, next to sea shore. Very helpful and efficient reception service. The rooms are large with a well equipped kitchenette and a small bathroom. The rooms are extremely clean and all comfort features functioning very well. The hotel has no restaurant. But all dining options are available a few blocks away. Overall nice comfortable and clean place to stay at budget rates
This hotel is very good! The rooms are pretty small but well kept, comfortable and updated as well. The staff is amazing and very helpful in giving you tips and making you feel aquatinted with the area. The lack of an elevators might be an issue if you have elders or handicaps in your group. Also, there is no parking area in this hotel but you find a great 24hs underground parking lot one block from the hotel and it is not that expensive. The main thing is the location guys. You are smacked down in the middle of everything and in front of an amazing beach, where you can rent chairs, umbrellas etc. Across from the hotel you have coffee places where you can get a decent breakfast. Little shops and other food places are next to the hotel as well. It is worth to mention that in the corner from the hotel and the beach you have an excellent ice cream place and just two stores after you find the great " Abulafia", that is a middle eastern bakery well known in Israel. Go there for a lunch; eat a "Malawah' (their specialty) and get some other goodies for dessert --- this is a must guys, believe me! This is not a five stars hotel but a great option if you want stay within budget --- a real bargain I would say. The only thing that I questioned was the clearness of the bed sheets --- they should keep an eye on this issue, other than that all was good. All around we were very happy with our choice of hotel and will be back here next year for sure! Many thanks for all...
The hotel in very well located, close to all attraction points of Tel Aviv and the beach. The rooms are small, but very clean with all the needed amenities. Balcony with sea view is a plus. Fair prices for Tel Aviv. No elevator, but you receive your luggage in the room.
I do not know what is with hotels/apartments in Israel in that they are expensive, but the value for money is quite bad. Staff was very friendly, and the rooms are clean, but many of the appliances in the room do not work. The location is great, and the WIFI is top notch. Good for a day, but otherwise, stay in a good hotel.
Great Location, Room are fine and well equipped. Room is cleaned every day, including the dish, beds are done, clean towels are given. We had the deluxe suite room with the terrasse sea view. Very comfortable, beds were comfortable, People at the reception are very nice and helpful. We had a great time and some. It is a busy area, so if you are sensitive to noise it can bother... not our case, so no problem for us. On the negative side, a few things... Lack of electric plugs...Only one on the kitchen side for the electric boiling device, cooking device and microwave... so only one thing at the time could be done. The wardrobe is really too small, maybe something additional under the TV or else would have been useful. The shower system is really not great we had water all the way in the bathroom after each shower. Lack of dishes, only one knife, two forks & 2 plates... TTP about the area: Tel-Aviv is super expensive! we went to the grocery shop 5 minutes away from the hotel called am-pm, super expensive... We did not have time to go to the Carmel Market before the last, and we discovered their amazing vegetable, fruits, meat... You can find everything there for much cheaper!
The only plus about this accommodation is the price and the congeniality of some of the staff. Maybe they were over friendly in some cases... perhaps this to cover the flaws and bad hygiene? Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I feel if I have to tell them to clean properly and it's not supervised daily, what is the point? The management were apologetic but that did not help the cleanliness. There was a thick layer of 6 months+ worth of dust under the beds when we arrived... ?? The day we wanted to speak to the maid she was on the phone straightening the bed with 1 hand and then told her caller she'd be 2 minutes (we understand Hebrew), and pranced out the apartment without finishing the job. The bathrooms were not well-cleaned. The air-conditioner tripped the lights so eventually that had to be turned off altogether. The kitchen had 2 or 3 teaspoons, a couple of knives and forks and few glasses and an odd plate or 3. How do you tell people if you have a kitchenette if it's not properly equipped.. even for 4 people? We were assured that the family apartment would sleep 6 people with ease. Fortunately one of the guests did not join us for those 5 days, as it was a horrible tight squeeze with 5 of us. If a room cannot sleep 6 people then tell us so we make alternate arrangements. Don't wait for us to get there. Wi-fi was good. All in all, I was happy to leave and I won't return - even for nothing. I'd suggest this hotel to backpackers and youngsters who need a night or 2 in Tel Aviv, as the location is excellent, especially in summer. But for families.. a definite NO and for older couples... steer clear away.
Very pleasant stay not spent too much time as room very small staff are very pleasant and clenliness is excellent central location betwen the old city of Jaffa and the Hilton beach Ok for an overnight stay but not for a week long stay
The value of money is too bad. I can't remember when last time I stayed in such bad conditions: 1. Location is so so. It does near the sea. 2. the appartment facility is too cheap 3. strange smell in the lobby, probably due to some cleaning materials 4. unbelievable noisy at night. Either it was air conditioning or something else 5. our windows shows backyard, you would not want to see it 6. a lot of garbage near the hotel in general 7. we do not have any problem wtih staff
Apart from the decent price and nice location - just meters from the beach, relatively close to the city center and well connected with public transport to the train and bus stations, I wouldn't find another justification to stay in this property after seeing it in person. Middle Eastern in the bad meaning of this word - architecturally chaotic complex of poorly designed buildings that shouldn't have received a property permit in the first place (extremely low and narrow stairs), not too well maintained and with obvious faults in hygiene (like 2 huge long hairs left in the clean towel and several different others around the sink)... I really hope the photos didn't look so much better than reality. Wouldn't visit again.
