Fully renovated holiday home, maintaining the charm of classic Canarian construction in a unique environment. Mixing traditional with modern, it offers all the amenities, such as air conditioning, heating, 2 Smart TVs, fiber Wifi, and window screens in all rooms, for a comfortable and convenient stay. A highlight is the impressive solid wood ceiling and the terrace on the top floor of the house, equipped with sunbeds, an outdoor shower and dining area, with spectacular views of the natural monument of Roque Nublo. The house has a large bedroom with a 1.50 m double bed and a 50" Smart-TV, a living room with another 65" Smart-TV, a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, an outdoor breakfast terrace, and a spacious modern bathroom with shower. The house is powered by solar panels and therefore sustainable.The town center is about 10 minutes walking distance away. Tejeda has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a Biosphere Reserve, has been named Top Rural European and is one of the prettiest towns in Spain. Strolling through its emblematic streets and squares is an unforgettable experience, as well as enjoying the Canarian gastronomy in the different restaurants and cafes in the area. Museums, the Island Center of Medicinal Plants, handicrafts and the famous almond sweets of the area, make for a memorable experience. Hiking enthusiasts will find trails leading directly from the house to the Caldera de Tejeda, as well as to the rest of the island. Wandern in Tejeda im Februar top, Wohnung aber etwas dunkel

Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, aber Wohnzimmer (ohne Fenster direkt hinter der Eingangstür) und Schlafzimmer leider auf die Straße hinaus sehr dunkel, was im Sommer vielleicht seine Berechtigung hat. Dafür gab es Tageslichtlampen. Im Wohnzimmer befindet sich ein riesiger Fernseher, aber leider keine Sateliten-Antenne auf dem Dach, dadurch nur spanische Sender. Nach hinten ist der Aufgang auf die Dachterrasse über einen Lichthof erreichbar, von dem genügend Licht in die gutausgestattete Küche fällt. Hier hätten wir uns nur gewünscht, dass der große Kühlschrank genauso modern wie der Rest der Kücheneinrichtung gewesen wäre. Der Geräuschpegel war doch enorm, wesentlich lauter als die sehr gut funktionierende Airkondition. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermietungs-Agentur war einwandfrei. Wir bekamen einen Zahlencode, mit dem wir aus einer Box an der Tür den Hausschlüssel entnehmen konnten. So verließen wir auch die Wohnung, ohne jemanden gesehen zu haben. Wir haben die Wohnung wegen dem Ausblick von der Dachterrasse ausgewählt, der dann doch enttäuschte. Auf 1000 m Höhe war es im Febr. einfach zu kalt, um draußen ohne Sonne zu sitzen. Zudem waren die Aussichtsplätze nachmittags im Schatten. Die Sonnenplätze hatten nur eingeschränkten Ausblick auf Dächer. Wir waren jeden Tag wandern und haben trotz vieler Wolken und sogar Regen doch immer das Sonneneck auf der Insel gefunden. Tejeda in der Mitte von Gran Canaria ist der beste Ausgangspunkt dafür. Wer Strandurlaub machen will, ist hier fehl am Platze, weil die Wege ans Meer doch sehr weit und kurvig sind.
