Not maintained well.

Great staff, good location and clean property. Something could be done about strong smell in hall way though I stayed with my dog in dog area hallway so that may be the issue.

Good

The price point is the main reason for booking this property, but I guess you get what you pay for. - Property is in nice location, beautiful view of ski slopes. - Room was fine although coffee maker didn't work. - I was expecting it to be older and not flashy, but several things were broken--small things like elevator buttons to big things like the hot tub. Didn't seem like anything was in process of being fixed. - Arcade was nice idea for kids, but games are old and some are broken. Still, kids enjoyed it overall. - Wifi was so bad I just had to disconnect and use my cellular plan. - Food was fine, but the price point on the breakfast buffet is too much ($15 for adults and $9 for kids). It was a good breakfast but not that much more than a normal complimentary breakfast. - Some staff was friendly and helpful, but some were lacking knowledge and others outright rude. Kids 3 and under eat free at breakfast and the staff member directly challenged us on my daughter being 3 more than once (she's tall and almost 4...but come on). She directly told us she didn't believe us and tried to charge us for her. On one hand, I get it...but on the other, come on! We are already paying more than $50 to eat an average breakfast. - Last point is that if it snows be prepared to dig out because they neither treated the parking lot nor plowed it. The main roads were fine, but numerous cars were having to dig out and us all push each other out of parking spots. The staff did nothing.

It was satisfactory for the price. There was electrical tape wrapped around the tv remote holding on the battery cover and sticky residue all over it. Definitely wasn’t clean. The heat lamp in the bathroom must not have been working because the knob was covered with a large piece of silver duct tape. Only tiny (1 1/2 inch) size bars of soap in the bathroom. Good for face but not for using in the shower.

I’m not sure what conferences are held here, but a lot was left to be desired in atmosphere, cleanliness, and front desk staff. The pools and parking lots also looked a bit trashed after the 4th of July celebrations.

The proximity to the camelback resort

Hotel was extremely outdated

Overall a nice place for a night or 2. The rooms slightly dated but clean. The restaurant average. The property itself is pretty nice and in a good location, especially if you like skiing Camelback. There didn’t seem to be a lot of staff around. 1 person at check in desk and 2-3 cleaning staff all weekend. For the price it was fine just don’t expect 4-5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Old building, needs some love. No room service during stay. Friend checked in and was refunded bc the room was not cleaned from previous guest. Pics make it look better than what it is. Turn TV on and it goes to a static channel and LOUD every time. No fridge or microwave in any of the rooms. Ice on separate floor. Not my favorite place I’ve ever stayed.

Elevator never works, stairs are tapped like it went through hell.

Where do I begin the pictures on the website are deceiving!! We are a family of 5 and planned a last minute trip to go to Aquatopia Water Park so we needed to stay close to waterpark. Just the trip in the elevator was a little scary. My kids laughed that we would get stuck. Upon exit off elevator we walk to our room, the smell, straight off the elevator. Cannot describe it..maybe "old lady with cats smell?" We all still walk to our designated room. Very small and the smell. Smells musty for sure. Tired we all were and the hotel has a restaurant we Call the restaurant 5x no answer. Proceed to dial 'O' and the kind lady at the desk says they are busy and the restaurant will call me back. 30 minutes. No call back. While waiting in room for call back we are exploring...everything is sticky!!! Crumbs in the telephone receiver!! Bathroom corners disgusting! I was done our family was not staying here!! We grabbed our belongings and drove back home that night!! Don't do it! If you don't mind the conditions then by all means go. I ended up paying full price but we did not stay unfortunately.

Close to the mountain. Limited food options. Other rooms were loud.

We have to say, all things considered, this place just rocks! I mean, right at the foot of a super kid-friendly slope where massively cover-up (for months and months) NYC kids could frolic and ski all day long (one of them, her 1st time ever!), Chateau really could not have been more perfect. Hospitable and helpful staff, and convenient meals that we could bring to our rooms. Yes, a bummer: no pool, no jacuzzi, dining in. And, know what: Bravo! Bravo for following guidelines and keeping our family safe and care for. We'll be back!

The location is awesome. The mountain is right behind the hotel. I didn’t like that the hotel needs to be updated. The furniture is old looking and the hallways are dark. There is a “closed up” smell in the rooms.
