This hotel is in a very good location that's for sure. I would really rate this hotel a 2 star. Why are there beautiful pictures of the hotel when really it's not like that...the hotel is being renovated or so i think it is? The reception area you will be greeted by dirty flies before you actually are greeted by staff. The lady at the reception really is very unfriendly can't help doesn't want to help! Other reception staff are good the restaurant staff Nabeel i believe his name is stood out for me/us. The cleaners are superb they do a wonderful job and they don't have the normal hotel trolley with bits n Bob's on their. I saw them clean with a mop and bucket + cloth seriously that is hard work but they were brilliant. The rooms are old and the shower have holes in tiles ,walls The lift ...well never seen anything like it. You get in just press the button to your floor and you see the lift go up or down their is no security bar/gate/door in front of the lift door i mean you have to stand back. It's fascinating but old lift old decor. We were recommended this hotel in Tangier when we got there. I would never have booked this myself and when i checked website i saw completely different pictures to what i saw myself when i stayed. By the way no iron forget about tea coffee facilities. And ermmm that's it!
We had a nice room at great location in Tangier all at a very good price. We were time limited, but due to the location we were able to get in a nice walk around the medina kasbah before we had to leave for the ferry. The staff of the hotel were very nice and the concierge at reception was especially helpful. Cigarette smoke did waft out of the bar area and up the stairway, which was a little unfortunate.
We loved this hotel, great value for money . Superb location close to the medina with fabulous sea views and a lovely garden& pool, plus friendly staff. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, and an extensive breakfast buffet!
I agree with earlier reviews that say it could use some new carpet and a fresh coat of paint, but overall it was just fine. The unit was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was more than adequate, and everything in the bathroom worked the way it is supposed to. Plus, it's right downtown and a short walk to the medina. All this for a very good rate. No complaints at all, and I'd definitely stay there again.
The hotel works fine for a one-night-stay. It is in the very center and we managed to have a nice stroll through the city after we came. However we found dirty details spread out through the hotel and our room, like linens in the middle of the corridor or even bugs in the toilet ... The breakfast service is ok with not much variety for a hotel with so many potential guests. There is parking nearby Wich is essential as it is very hard to find a spot in the city center.
Stayed two nights with my family. Quite a good hotel, very good price. Clean, good staff, good location, we just spent the night there, during the day we walked around the city. We were eating outside in various cafes and restaurants.
Quite basic rooms and facilities and dated, but very clean. The pool area looked very nice. Breakfast was ok, just a small buffet with limited options. The location is good - a short cab ride to the port, and within walking distance to the Medina and Kasbah. For £28 per night it was very good value.
Pros: huge rooms, central position, clean, polite personnel, walking distance to medina, close to supermarkert cafes etc. Cons: a bit outdated. Classical hotel but needs a small “lifting” soon. Wifi continuously has problems. Bit noisy rooms on the street side. Other side is perfect with nice view to the port
My room was huge, but over the very loud street. All night I heard honking with the window open. I should have closed the window and put on the air conditioning to block the noise. The room had a nIce big bathtub! In the newer part of town.
We love everything about the city and the Rembrandt hotel itself, The location the view the stuff the management All were great and super helpful, Saturday night there were live music and live singing both Spanish and english as well, you’ll get a welcoming hot drink by your choice too ☕️
