Hotel Rembrandt3.0 out of 5.0

Quite basic rooms and facilities and dated, but very clean. The pool area looked very nice. Breakfast was ok, just a small buffet with limited options. The location is good - a short cab ride to the port, and within walking distance to the Medina and Kasbah. For £28 per night it was very good value.
Pros: huge rooms, central position, clean, polite personnel, walking distance to medina, close to supermarkert cafes etc. Cons: a bit outdated. Classical hotel but needs a small “lifting” soon. Wifi continuously has problems. Bit noisy rooms on the street side. Other side is perfect with nice view to the port
My room was huge, but over the very loud street. All night I heard honking with the window open. I should have closed the window and put on the air conditioning to block the noise. The room had a nIce big bathtub! In the newer part of town.
We love everything about the city and the Rembrandt hotel itself, The location the view the stuff the management All were great and super helpful, Saturday night there were live music and live singing both Spanish and english as well, you’ll get a welcoming hot drink by your choice too ☕️
Centrally located, Hotel Rembrandt is within easy walking distance to many sites. The hotel is a bit outdated and could really use a facelift. The best parts were the staff and breakfast. The service was excellent in every regard- friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was a buffet with a nice assortment including breads, eggs and fresh fruit. The room could have been cleaner, especially the bathroom. And in the photos the pool looks much larger than it is but it was great for a dip.
Don't expect much☝️I mean the quality overall. The best is the location, the swimming pool and the price depending season and big bathrooms. After all I kind of liked the old furnitures in the reception.
This hotel has such potential. Great location and view. The staff was so warm and friendly. Great service! The hotel looks like it needs some serious cosmetics. We didn't have hot water to shower. They fixed it after an hour but still. Wi fi was slow. We planned to stay at least 2 nights but we escaped after just one. The breakfast was ok the waiter was helpful and fulfilled all of our requests.
Kind staff gave sound advice about adequate taxi prices to negotiate with locals. Room was clean, spacious... Bathroom clean as well. AC worked well but wifi was so/so... But definitely strong enough to surf the web; just don't expect to stream HD YouTube or other media content. Restaurant was surprisingly well-maintained and the food was high quality. Served as a reprieve from the search if food options around tangier in the month of Ramadan although the food and beer prices were elevated for the area.Otherwise, the price point was unmatched and I'd return for my next visit.
We visit the hotel for the third time, so easy to tell we'll love it. The breakfast is great, Moroccan food and continental with a great view! Staff is very kind en hospitable! The location between the modern boulevard and the old soul is perfect. When we stayed there the pool and garden were improved. We will be back for sure!
I've been to Tangier a lot and this was the first time I stayed at the Rembrandt. The rooms were spacious and clean, lovely bathroom. Certainly didnt look like the room on this website. I think the bedspreads and curtains could do with being brighter would cheer up the room. The pool was being painted so it was a no go area but probably because it was Ramadam therefore the hotel was quiet. The bar area was ok, again could be a bit more cheery, with perhaps some Moroccan furniture. The hotel is well located which is great, and has great views over the gardens/pool and sea. Breakfasts were adequate. Pleasant enough hotel though. Just a few bits of renovation would make it even better.
