Welcome to Surfer`s Heaven! The Point #3 is a modern new construction villa at The Point, Playa Avellanas. The Point includes 24/7 security, pool, rancho/bbq; is walking distance to restaurants and located near one of the best surfing beaches in Costa Rica. Construction for this unit was completed in 2021. The professionally designed and furnished interior includes high quality amenities, high speed internet and a dedicated workspace in the second bedroom.

The Point is a new gated community in Avellanas and this house is in a small sub-community of 10 houses located around a central pool. The home features a modern architecture with an open layout. The floor to ceiling windows and high ceilings provide an exceptionally bright and airy feel. Exotic tropical gardens and palms run throughout the community and the pool is just steps away from the door. Howler Monkeys can be heard in the background most evenings and Scarlet Macaws visit frequently. The guest room features a dedicated workspace for those who bring work along.

You will have access to the entire house as well as the common areas (pool, bbq)

Steve can be reached through the airbnb app or by cell phone during the hours of 8:00AM to 8:00PM (CR time). For after hours onsite emergencies, please contact the security staff - available 24/7 at the front gate. For all medical emergencies, call 911.

As a tranquil alternative to nearby Taramindo, Playa Avellanas provides the feeling of a true “Paradise on Earth”, offering peace and nature, but also benefiting from being very close to all the services and amenities of a lively beach town.

The best option for getting around in Avellanas is by car. Four-wheel drive is highly recommended in the rainy season. To access the beach, drive down to Lola’s and park in the dedicated parking area.

Please be aware that in Costa Rica, you cannot flush toilet paper.
Every toilet has a little trash can next to it. Please use the trash can for toilet paper to avoid unnecessary mess and hassle during your stay.

Host was very responsive, house was everything we needed. Good location, easy 5 minute drive to Playa Avellanas , 15 minute drive to Playa Negra and 30-40 minute drive to Tamarindo. We had a great stay. Enjoyed the Costa Rican wildlife right from the property. We were able to see both howler monkeys and macaws. Magnificent French coffee and bakery across the street.

We really liked our stay here. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. Very large place, full kitchen, was super big for the two of us. Could definitely fit two couples or a family easily. Pool was nice too. Close to the beach and some great eating spots. Close to drive to excursions and Tamarindo.

Paradise Point

We had an amazing time at The Point! Steve was an amazing host quick to respond and give us any assistance we needed. The front grate security was great and the maintenance team on the property even gave us fresh mango’s! We surfed, are amazing food in Avellanas (high recommend the Corazon surf cafe and La Purruja). The atmosphere was incredible and we got to lay out by the pool while some Howler Monkeys swung through the trees surrounding us!
