Would say it's an average hotel considering price for double room 84 euro. Clean and tidy and feels spacy: reception on arrival, rooms itself. Long time not seen smoking rooms available (even I don't smoke), got it by mistake, so had to change to non smoking due to cigarete smell :) Overall OK
Being a reasonable (without heavy baggage) walking distance from TLL is this hotel's advantage. Note; taxi drivers are never happy with fares to the Ulemiste Hotel. The hotel itself is unremarkable. The area around the hotel is basically industrial, with a partial view of Ulemiste Lake. Unfortunately, this beautiful lake is completely fenced in (on the Hotel-side, at least). The one true negative is the shower which is segregated from the rest of the bathroom by a curtain and a one foot wide plastic shield. There is no water barrier on the floor, only a drain. There just is not enough room to take any kind of reasonable shower. Very frustrating. To get to Old Tallinn, you can take a taxi (front desk) or take the City Bus (No 2, only 2 EU), and then walk in (Google Map).
A pleasant hotel, reasonable service although a bit inefficient. They were useless in confirming my bags had arrived (after a short connection in Schiphol) and denied they had - only on asking to look in their luggage room did I get my bags that were already sitting there. They might still be there if I had not checked. Walking distance from airport which is a big plus and nearby is a huge shopping mall. Great. You can see the same stuff that you get in any European city. To get to anywhere interesting like the old city, takes more effort. The hotel has a bar that shuts early, and does not provide drinks to guests after this time. The barmaids were quite sullen late on and clearly resented having to serve people dying for a drink after a hard days business. The bar closed without even the customers being informed. So if it's a stopover thing then this hotel might be ok, if you want to see the bright lights and sights of Tallinn, and get a drink when you want one, head closer to the centre.
The hotel has a nice restaurant, comfortable beds, easy access to shopping next door and a less than 10 minute walk to the airport. Some rooms are more economical than others, this trip I ended up in a deluxe which had a nicer bathroom and view but the cost difference was pretty significant
In general the hotel was great; however I had two issues. First, the gym, sauna and steam room can only be accessed for free during breakfast time. When I went to the steam room in the morning the temperature was not that high, and the sauna wasn't even on. The second disappointment was that I requested a 5:15 am wake up call. The phone rang at midnight and then 10 minutes later. I chose this hotel so that I can get a good night sleep before an early morning flight. These erroneous phone calls pretty much defeated that plan.
A very nice and modern hotel close to the shopping malls and the airport.Clean and brand new with a free parking and wifi.Very kind staff at the reception. Negative is the small bathroom with no tub and the breakfast which was not what expected and we had difficulties to find a table to sit the first day and the second we came 3 min late and they were gathering the staff and the staff was very impolite with us,
My wife and I used this hotel during a layover in Tallinn. We actually spent a very short night in the hotel, as we arrived at 21.00 and we left before 4.00 *** check in *** Plenty of useless information to be given, but for the rest relatively smooth. The clerk forgot to inform us about WiFi and never spoke about the restaurant. The fact I had to give again the CC as a "warranty" on the frigobar was a little annoying, as well as the fact that the CC was charged beforehand. *** room *** I rarely view a room with such a high ceiling. The bathroom floor was heated, nicely. For the rest, the furniture looks quite old and overused. The beds were a little too soft for me The WORSE part though is the curtains. If your room is exposed to East or West, you are doomed. You will not be able to fall asleep or you will wake up awfully early, as the curtains are SO thin that you can almost see through them. *** bathroom *** Clean. The only odd thing is the shower that is a one and everything with the rest of the bathroom. If you take a shower, you will easily flood the full bath. *** checkout *** Smooth and painless *** Summary *** Quite nice and not too expensive if you are on a layout between flights. A little less if you plan a relaxing period
I chose this hotel for the convenience of being next to the airport for my arrival in Tallin -just after midnight. I tried walking but in the dark with luggage and the ongoing construction around the airport this proved impossible. However, it was very close, so, some locals I met while asking for directions gave me a ride. The room was clean and quiet. Another plus was having the shopping mall across the street and convenient city bus stops to downtown Tallin next to old town. A cab ride downtown to the bus station to get a 3,5 hour ride to Riga (18 euros) proved very reasonable( well under 10 euros). Breakfast was not included, so I did not use the restaurant.
This hotel was just fine for a weekend stay. The rooms are a little dated, but its no big deal if you are hardly spending anytime in the room. You can walk from the airport the hotel in just 5 minutes, just walk up the road and its super easy. Next to the hotel is a shopping mall and you can eat or shop there if you like. Getting into town is also very easy, there is public transport near or I took uber to the old town and average cost was 4 EUR, so very cheap. I would stay here again.
