The hotel is 5 mins walk from the airport and 2 mins walk from the shopping centre. I agree with others that the beds were very uncomfortable. However the rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were friendly. Wifi worked well and allowed me to access my VPN connection.
Stayed here for one night prior to catching early plane. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and full length floor to ceiling windows. There is good wi-fi and the reception staff are helpful. The room had a flat screen television but no iron or ironing board, or any tea and coffee facilities also the shower tended to make the water go everywhere. The walls seemed quite thin as I could hear someone else's TV and others talking as I tried to sleep. It's big benefit is that it is 10mins walk from the airport and if you are having an early flight they will give a breakfast bad with fruit a drink, a chocolate bar, sandwiches and yoghurt.
Yes, it's close to the airport, yes it's close to a shopping mall, yes the staff are ok.......nope that's it, having been here a few days with a few days more to go, I am lesss than impressed, the beds have some sort of sofa cushions not pillows. The beds aren't great. The shower cannot decide if it's a wet room or a shower and I've had better breakfasts in my daughters playhouse, in fact I'm currently waiting as I've sent back some of their cooked meats for the second time, to be,err, cooked, they have a standard house 2slice toaster, so prepare to wait 25mins in busy times and vast majority is simply unpacked supermarket sliced cheese/meat. Still the staff are only slightly sarcastic, and the coffee is ok.
The hotel is very convenience for short trips because it is very near to the airport- walking distance but much better if you sleep on the floor! The beds are too soft and not good at all for the back! Showers are very small but ok.
Ulemiste hotel is a good place to stay in the airport area. Once the road construction is done, the hotel will be located in the walking distance from the airport (rather than being stuck in the traffic jam, while seeing the hotel from your taxi window). The hotel is not new, but in a decent shape and clean. Location of the hotel is definitely an advantage: the proximity of the airport, Ulemiste business quarter, huge shopping mall, etc. So from that perspective I enjoyed the place. Especially that the noise of the airport or the street is not disturbing. What the hotel might improve on is the service: at the reception during check in and out it was polite, but nothing more than that. No smiles, no warm welcome... Even worse in the restaurant: very young waitresses definitely enjoyed the company of each other and clearly the very few customers disturbed the conversations. Due to this experience I tried dinner only the first night, the remaining evenings I preferred to eat outside the hotel. The breakfast is also vey basic, especially in terms of bread: three colors of toast bread (white, brown and black), but no real bread, no rolls, no baguettes or anything like that. Fruit salad made of canned fruits, poor selection of cheese, ham, etc. Again good to check out the breakfast somewhere else. And don't count on any smile or warm treatment from the staff. Overall those are very easy things to change and Ulemiste Hotel could turn into a very good place to stay.
We stayed here both on arrival at the airport and the night before our departure. It is an easy walk from the hotel to the airport. We were very happy that the hotel restaurant was open long enough into the evening to serve us when we arrived. The meal was excellent. We had breakfast thee twice and were very impressed with the variety of choices. Our room during our first stay seemed a bit "tired," that was not the case with our second stay. We last stayed hee about 11 years ago, we will stay there again.
Hotel looks nice from outside, inside as well. Room comfortable, has all what is needed. One big minus was shower, it is soooo small. I am small myself, but taking shower was challenging as curtain was sticking to the skin, very uncomfortable and disturbing. Everything else clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok, you have choice, you will not go hungry if you will find where to sit down, maybe i came on peek, but had to walk around few times to find a place to sit.But finally i found the place and enjoyed breakfast. Just across the street - shopping mall is very convenient. Recommendable hotel.
Checked in seemed to take for ages with the clerk not seeming to be able to find my reservation. Key card issues and credit card imprint taken. Went down for dinner and was advised that there would be a wait for food as a large group had just been seated. Opted for a drink and made myself comfortable on one of the outer tables. Restaurant being run(efficiently) by 3 delightful young girls. A family sat in the bar with several young children. Appreciate children will be children but this escalated in cushion fights. One parent made a token intervention once and they quietened down for a couple of minutes until it ended up with a glass being smashed on the ceramic table by the children being children. Asked staff to intervene as this was spoiling dinner in the restaurant they were not able to do so. It seems the hotel is staffed by youngsters with no authority or empowerment after hours and they didn't want to say anything . I went over to the parents who were sitting away from their children drinking and talking together and got a barrage of abuse from two of them. Clearly it hit a raw nerve as they left relatively quickly but it had already spoiled dinner. Rooms very dated but functional massive stains on the carpet on the 4th floor. Certainly not a place to return to return to even if having an early morning flight
Super convenient to Tallinn airport 5 mins walking distance from terminal Only complaint was that the breakfast was poor. Suggest avoiding the fry! Rooms are good but standard enough. Carpets are a bit worm buts it's clean and well constructed Recommend
Great location. 5 minutes walk from the airport. There is a supermarket and shopping mall next door. The hotel looks luxurious and the foyer is equally so. The rooms are small but well decorated. The only down sides are the small car park and the lack of family rooms.
