So, first and foremost we chose this for the Indoor pool....which is not heated and that's not advertise. Bed and room is up to par with this hotel brand. Breakfast: out of orange juice and didn't have water out but if you asked you get get a bottle - I would have settled for a pitcher of ice water. Breakfast is served 6 to 9 and at 815 had to wait a few minutes for egg omelets and sausage. Coffee bar is way too small especially when you have someone taking 10 minutes in filling their coffee with junk and blocking anybody else's ability to get coffee. We would stay again.
Not a good check in. Clerk was more interested in working with his hair than give me the time of day. poor attitude. Hotel was nice and clean.Morning staff at breakfast were nice and clerks were good.
They will CANCEL YOUR ROOM EVEN IF YOU CONFIRM THE DAY BEFORE. After having 7 rooms reserved for months and calling the night before to make sure everything was OK and notifying them we would not be checking in until after 8pm, we were sent and email at 6pm staying that our room would be cancelled by 7:30pm. We were at a tournament and not online to get the notification. Our rooms were cancelled. Our Marriot Credit card had expired and a new one issued. The new one was activated. They said the card didn't work so they cancelled it even when I called the day before to confirm. They gave our rooms away. Very inconvenient when you have a van full of school kids.
We stayed a few nights here while visiting family and not knowing the hotels on this strip we chose the Fairfield being a Marriott property. The staff is great , very helpful and friendly . The hotel is just simply worn out . Marriott needs to put some work into this property .
This is a roadside motel that wasn't very clean and not particularly comfortable. I used some Marriott points so I didn't pay much cash, but I got what I paid for. The breakfast was the worst. Why call them eggs if they have never met a hen? Ugh.
This facility is conveniently located to north I-10. It looks newly renovated. A Taco Bell is next door. Walmart is one block away. There is a Waffle House and gas station close by. The bathroom sink area is very small. Shower needs some good grout cleaning. The rest of the room was clean. Coffee area in the lobby, was not kept up in the afternoon. No regular coffee or decaf available. Carafes were empty. Staff at reception, and morning breakfast were very friendly though.
Other than mattresses that need replacing, the hotel was fine. It's well located - although it's easy to miss the turn off the main road. The decor was modern and nice, they breakfast typical Fairfield and the check in easy. The night person could use more enthusiasm....but as a place to crash, no issues at all.
I really cant believe all the good ratings for this hotel. It is not a very nice place. I am a Platinum Member and get the very best rooms. Mine was old, worn out, in dire need of total renovation, had cockroaches crawling around and really did not impress me in the least. Paper thin walls to boot! Cant recommend anyone staying here.
We've been heading north in order to get as far away from Hurricane Irma as we can. I called and booked a room around 5:30 am, arrived at 6 am and checked in with no hitch, and we were asleep within an hour after being on the road for five hours. This hotel has snack and beverages available in a little kitchenette area of the lobby 24/7 which was a great surprise! The staff here is so friendly and on top of their jobs that we felt a little bit of peace of mind since learning of Hurricane Irma. Amazing hotel - absolutely impressed!
First and foremost the staff, ALL the Staff, were GREAT and extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. However, just one small item for a Marriott affiliate should not happen. I found out by chance, when I asked the Housekeeping Lady of we should leave the towels we wanted replaced on the floor or just hanging. She checked here clipboard and advised that our 2 rooms were not scheduled for "service", something that surprised me. Even if they don't make up the beds they should check to see if towels need repalcing and the same for adding any toiletries. As I said, for a Marriott it is NOT living up to my expectations.
