Our night here met our needs. They staff was friendly with the food typical of most Fairfield Inns. The one selling point was the close location to Rte 10 and on to our next stop, New Orleans. If there was one issue that needs to be brought the the attention of the Fairfield Inn is the shabby construction work. Our room had a tile with no grout. This was noticed when my heel was bruised.
We stayed for one night on our travel through Florida. We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. We had an issue with our battery, and the staff helped get us a wrench to use. Always smiling and very helpful. We had a very comfortable room. The breakfast was great, with a lot of options, clean, and perfect for travel. We would absolutely stay here again!
This was our second time stopping at this hotel for an overnight stay on the way to Walt Disney World. We again found the hotel convenient, clean and affordable. Will definitely stop here again in the future.
My wife and I just stayed at this Fairfield Inn - pleased to find a friendly/helpful front desk staff person ... the lobby, hallways and our standard king bed room were very clean and comfortable (told recently renovated). We didn't use it; however, noticed going to our room there is what looks like a nice indoor pool. In the morning we found a very nice comp hot breakfast (e.g. eggs, cheese omelet, bacon, sausage, mini-waffle, fresh fruit). Plenty of restaurant choices close to the hotel. Net-net ... based on our experience would stay again.
The staff was very friendly, which is always a plus, but the rooms are so outdated. Very little counter space in the bathroom, no shower shelves for toiletries, just a tiny basket for a bar of soap. The room smells and is very damp. The AC cools but sounds like a truck is parked right outside our room. No freezer in the tiny refrigerator and no signal for the TV. The shampoo container was half full, like it had been left from the previous traveler. The motel is easily accessible from I-10 which was good after a long day of driving. When compared to other Marriott establishments, this one rates very low. We have traveled all over the country and use Marriott or its affiliates exclusively, so we know of which we speak. We will not be back to this place. Marriott needs to do something about revamping and modernizing the rooms. For $150.00 per night, it wasn’t worth it. It is possible that the cost is excessive because of the location in the state’s capital, but I’m only guessing. We will be in a Naples Marriott for a couple of weeks and none of the nights we are staying even comes close to $150.00 per night.
We are Marriott Rewards Members and are saddened by the stay at this hotel on April 21, 2017. We needed a late check n and when we arrived at 10:00 the front doors were open but there was no one to greet or check us in. I went to the "staff only" door, knocked 3 or 4 times still no one. I called the hotels' phone number and stood at the front desk hearing it ring and ring and ring. Finally someone came from around the corner from the rooms. She gave us a room on the 3rd floor and when we went to open the door I noticed it looked the door had been pryed open. Being that it was myself, the mom and my daughter we immediately went back to front desk and asked for a different room. Did not feel safe at all. The room was outdated and smelled not so nice. The next morning the same front desk clerk was on and advised us that yes the first room had to be "opened with force" but tried to reassure us that the door was fine and we would have been okay to stay ther..WHAT???? Sorry Marriott but you need to look into this location and make some changes.
This hotel is, of course, non-smoking, no pets- no pet odors, staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms clean, nice breakfast(cooked oatmeal), not fancy, but adequate and healthy options. We travel with an ice cooler and lunches, so would really love if the tiny refrigerators had a tiny freezer section for my blue ice. However, staff always puts our blue ice in their freezer until morning. No problems. It is close to the interstate and not far from decent food options. WE love Marriott, because they never allow smoking, I am very allergic to smoke, so we can rely on Marriott. This place is a gem. Only draw back is shower instead of tub, but it is not a problem for one night. Much better than the town suite where we previously stayed. It got dirty and horribly pet smelly. I loved preparing my on meals there, but for one night and a 2 day drive, we can love this place. Thanks to the staff for being so helpful. Will see you again soon.
Plenty of restaurants within a couple miles from this hotel. It is also convenient situated near exit to I-10. As for the hotel itself, it looks like they have renovated not long ago. The room was comfy. Cable and internet are better and faster than some others of this chain. The staff at the front desk and the breakfast were very friendly and helpful.
From the cheerful and competent front desk clerk to the breakfast attendant, all the staff here were friendly and nice. Rooms are comfy and nicely sized (I was in a double). Comfortable mattress, good pillows, and quiet. Lots of hot water, good water pressure. Breakfast selection was very nice with plenty of healthy options to offset the bacon, sausage and waffles (which I also enjoyed). I especially liked the variety of nuts and dried fruits to top oatmeal or yogurt, and freshly sliced cantaloupe. Really, nothing not to like about the experience here. Kudos to good management-- whatever you're doing, it's working well.
Excellent hotel and excellent service! Akinan Miller was very helpful! Easily accessible and within easy traveling distance to anything we could want. Our children very much enjoyed the pool, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was great. Thank you for an excellent stay!
