We stay at a number of Residence Inns when we travel and we have stayed here a number of occasions. The food is really great for breakfast, the rooms are improved with new upgrades except for two things. The toilets they installed are way too short for the average person to sit on and the new bathroom door, while may be an improvement for some people, the door never stays open. You need to put a towel or something on the floor to keep the door open. Customer service needs improvement. When we commented at the front desk about the toilets and improved nice furniture the girl said thank you and I will see that you receive some extra Marriott points. The extra points have not posted to my account and of course they did not send me a survey for my positive and negative comments. Think we will find someplace else to stay at when we travel thru Tallahassee.

Have stayed here four times in the last several months on business. Each time has been great. The rooms are great. They are like a mini apartment. The food reach weeknight is great as well. No need to leave the hotel and spend money at a restaurant. The staff are very friendly and always speak to you. They are very accommodating and go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. I would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed for only one night, but this Residence Inn would be comfortable for longer stays. Separate bedroom, roomy bathroom, full kitchen and spacious living area. Two TVs, which is always a bonus. The bed was comfortable and the free breakfast was well-stocked. They included freshly-baked cinnamon pastries, which were yummy. We would return to this Residence Inn.

I have stayed many times at the TownePlace Suites. I decided to switch to this hotel after several mediocre experiences at the other hotel. That turned out to be a great decision. Spacious suite, very hospitable staff, delightful reception and breakfast. The Tuesday night reception featured make your own grilled chicken sandwiches, two salads, very fresh watermelon and cake. Delicious. The only downside is road noise from I - 10. Turn on the A/C to block it out.

My husband and I spent one night at this Residence Inn and it was a great experience. The people who work there from the front desk, the manager, housekeeping, breakfast room, you name it, all could not have been nicer. We arrived about 7:30 PM and were promptly made aware of the complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks available on the patio. The manager even was covering the cost of the pizza from the food truck. This was a nice, unexpected perk after a day of driving. The property looks like it had recently been updated. Everything was in good shape. This was one of the best included breakfasts I've had at a hotel Besides the eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. there were actual, fresh sliced strawberries (you could see them being prepared in the kitchen). A nice change from canned fruit cocktail! I'm looking forward to my next stay at this Residence Inn!

If it were possible, I would give this hotel 10 stars. In all my years of traveling, I have never experienced the customer service this staff provided. Often, the word friendly is bantered around to describe a staff. Well let me tell you, this staff was not only friendly but my wife and I wanted to take them home with us. The service of the staff was so outstanding that I almost forgot to mention the rooms and other amenities. Also outstanding. If you are ever in the Tallahassee area, check-in here. You will leave smiling from ear to ear.

I visit Tallahassee often and have stayed in several hotels in the metro area. A recent family weekend trip was an opportunity to check out a place that was new to me, the Residence Inn Tallahassee North. In general, I like Residence Inns – I am attracted to their suites with kitchens, friendly & courteous staff, and satisfactory free breakfasts. This Residence Inn did not disappoint me in any of these areas and I especially liked their front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast area staff. They even had a small basketball court on the property, which was fun. For me the best and worst element of this property is the easy on, easy off access to the Interstate. It was very convenient to drive off I-10 and find yourself checking in to the front desk in 5 minutes. The price you pay for this convenience is being right next to a very busy & noisy highway. My brother had a room on the North side of the Residence Inn, which directly faces the highway, and there were no noise barriers between the road and hotel. The result was a noisy and less than enjoyable night’s sleep for him. I luckily stayed on the East side of the Residence Inn, facing another hotel, and had a quiet enjoyable evening sleep. By the way, I also discovered there were no king size beds in this property – only queen size. My brother was not happy about this but it was okay with me. Also, next door on the West side of the property is a very good Outback restaurant.

One of the things I liked about this place, we could get a two bedroom unit that had a living room to watch March Madness (NCAA Basketball Tournament). All the rooms have a kitchen and a Queen size bed plus a Queen pull out sofa bed. I would have preferred a king size bed, but it was unavailable. The group got 4 different room. One two bedroom unit and three one bedroom units. One of the things I liked the least about this place is that it's located right along the interstate (I-10). And rooms with windows that face the interstate highway are very noisy. Ask for a room that doesn't face that highway.

The room was clean. The staff friendly. Room had a nice gift in it. The toilet in my room didn't work right and clearly had been an issue for a while so not sure why this wasn't fixed beforehand. They have free breakfast but I didn't eat there.

Stopped for 1 night. Paid a little extra for a hotel with an indoor pool. Hotel was nice and newly renovated. Staff was friendly. Very disappointed with the pool and hot tub! Pool was very cold. Hot tub jets were weak and barely moved the water. They definitely need to address the pool and hot tub. Would only return if those changes were made.
